Hi Martin, we did have trees until about 7,000 years ago when the climate shifted. Most of the Peak District then became peat bogs. There are still some natural woodlands left, but apart from that, what remains is managed woodland. But yes, you get beautiful vistas. Thank you as always for your continued support, Martin. I really appreciate it.
Another trig bites the dust! Third times a charm, Chris. Lovely hike in such a beautiful rural area in the farmlands. I always enjoy seeing these stone walls! Thanks for bringing us along.
Awesome visit and discover! Brighting filming and video editing. Wonderful visual production. So beautiful, sweet and smooth. Much inspired and talented. A real peaceful and relaxing pleasure to watch. Full of poetry and spirit. Good for the mind and the eyes. Big big big like for this fantastic perform and brighting sharing. Splendid and luminous.
There are 88 in the Peak District National Park, and 5,500 remain out of 6,500 in the wider UK. Thank you for your continued support. I really do appreciate it.
Morning Chris. Looked like a good old bit of off piste work to get to that one. Another one ticked off. Thanks for sharing your Adventure Chris. All the best, Dave 🥾⛰😀🏴
Nice morning walk and capturing the aeriel view and the ricefild that is an amazing location of filming so cool and refreshing. Thank you for sharing awesome video.
I've always wanted to visit England to see the Lakes District and Peaks District, and your videos just keep affirming it. The windswept mountains of the Midlands and Northern England are unlike anything I've ever seen!
We are quite devoid of trees. Don't get me wrong, there are some managed woodlands here and there, but mostly in the Peaks, it is just rocks and bogs. But beautiful nevertheless. Thank you for your continued support. I really appreciate it.
Exploring Williams, Arizona with you felt like a nostalgic journey, especially with those vintage cars and the town's rich history on display. 🚗 The preservation of its character is impressive, giving it a unique charm. 🏰 Your perspective adds a special touch, making it a delightful virtual tour! Looking forward to the next adventure. 🌍 Keep those fantastic videos coming! 👏
Hey there , this is one place I have not gotten to visit. But, thank you for taking us along. It is super cool! I am sure the views were much more amazing than the video can show. Looks like you had so much fun. support to the channel my friend. #thinbluelanervlife
The land was covered in forest 7000 years ago. As the climate changed, this gave way to peat bogs. There are some forests remaining and some managed woodland, but not much grows in peat bogs. To me, the vistas give it that extra je ne sais quoi in my mind. Thank you for your continued support. Have a great weekend.
That’s an amazing hike! So brave of you to have overcome all the hurdles along the way 😮 and this video inspires me in a way to do more hiking adventure ❤
Thank you. It certainly was a hard one to get to. But, yes, I got there in the end. Thank you for watching, commenting, and subscribing. I really appreciate it. Have a great week.
Yes, third time lucky. The problem is it's in private land. The farmer doesn't want people there, and someone had cut the barbed wire and pushed over the top foot of two of his stone walls to get to it. The way I went is only good if the airfield isn't active. But yes, I'm glad to finally have bagged this one. Thank you for your support. I really appreciate it. Have a great weekend.
How on earth did we miss this Chris. My sincerest apologies. Did two trigs today and couldn’t resist doing “trig face” on them both! No better sight than a trig on the horizon or feeling when you get to give it a tap. Well done on bagging your nemesis. In very good condition too. 👍
Well done for bagging this one Chris, at least it's done now! 😃 You sounded like you were suffering with a bit of a cold whilst you were outside? Well despite the lovely sight of Hope Cement Works, it's a great view from the trig point. All the best 👍
3rd time lucky...well done...i remember walking up there years ago without any obstructions...returned a couple of years ago and couldn't access it so i gave up on Ethels, silly hill list anyway...apparently there's a new list out called the PEAK 75 compiled by someone that enjoys walking, you should try that list when you have finished these.
Yes, it is a bit of a bugger to get to. As for the list of 75, I'll have to wait a year to know which ones they are. Thank you, as always, Steven, for your support.
Somehow missed the notification on this one Chris, thought i hadnt seem a video for a while so came to check, hope you're well, but well done 3rd time lucky on this one, perseverance pays ! ⛰️The views from the trig were stunning, would love to hike around here, glad you found the gate :) Have a good weekend ~ Anna 👍
Those tossaks at the start looked rough. I find it makes it harder walking over them. You are doing well with all those trig points. (That's the problem with access routes being moved or closed) but well done reaching Abney Moor Chris. At least you have your films to verify all your achievements. Wishing you well
