The Borla is where it’s at. Just enough V8 sound. I’m curious about the suspension and tires. Are those 35’s? What lift did you put on it to fit those?
Would you say the corsa muffler takes care of alot of the drone? I enjoy moderate to loud exhausts but the drone on my muffler deleted GX leaves something to be desired.. Cheers
Zero drone with the Corsa unless you are going 70+ mph on a slight incline where the engine is under more load. Even then, it’s quiet. You would hear the exhaust on the highway if you are towing, but it’s exhaust note and not really in the drone frequency.
Sounds Good. I wish I could find a good video of someone who bought the AFE exhaust system. I've heard it a couple times on the internet as a whole when I searched quite a bit one night but it's just some revs and nothing else. Honestly most of the videos on TH-cam regarding exhaust for the GX 460 are exhausts that cost $300-$400 which there is nothing wrong with but........ I know the AFE and the Magnaflow Exhaust are about $700-$800 but I'm assuming if you can afford to buy even a used GX 460 that you can afford to buy an $800 exhaust system. I bought my 2014 GX 460 here in the midwest in immaculate condition last year with 97k miles on it. It does have some minor normal rust on the bottom which is normal for any GX that is not from the south. I can't wait to get rid of that heavy, queit and rusty old oem exhaust underneath. The most rusty part of the underside of my whole GX was the Bottom Engine Cover/Skidplate and I have already replaced that entire part with a new one. Everything else is just minor service rust here and there. I will however be soaking the nuts and bolts with nut buster about 12-24 hours before taking the old exhaust off to put the new one on.
Doug Thorley makes full exhaust kits. Probably the best gains you’ll get. Intakes will give some growl too. In the past I just did a res delete and ran an 18” Magnaflow. Loved the sound. No drone on the highway but it would snarl when you stepped on it. Whatever you do avoid Flowmasters. I could not replace mine fast enough. Droned terribly.
I’ve done both. The Corsa has a more refined sound, the drone is gone, and the cabin doesn’t vibrate. The Corsa muffler sounds pleasant instead of just being loud.
@@EpicAlcatraz99 I mean for what it is, it doesn't get much better. Like with anything else, just follow the recommended maint schedule. I have a '23 and it only has 5k miles but I'm a Lexus tech, the most common things I see are: timing chain cover leaks (more common in the older ones but I've seen them in years up to 2021. 22&23 are probably too new at this point..), water pump seepage, transfer case input seal leaks, engine block heat exchanger coolant leak, and the infamous air injection valve (most of these have been remedied by recalls). These issues I mentioned (besides the timing cover) I haven't seen in years, and if I do it's on older models with well over 100k miles. Generally speaking the newer the model year, the better on these.
@@hossbonaventure Thanks! No spacers and factory offset. If you stand at the right angle, you can see tire sidewall but no tread pattern outside of the wheel well. I wanted the OEM+ look and did not want paint damage from rock ejection.

Dobinsons IMS 2” front 1.75” rear, SPC UCAs, KDSS spacer kit. Tires are 285/70/17 K02s with Method wheels.

Stealth is the way to go. Cutouts would be fun though for ocasional shenanigans.

I too have a muffler delete as of today on my GX. It's tolerable-ish but the drone kinda sucks.
Corsa should take care of alot of the drone based on the marketing hype..

How was the drone with just the muffler deleted, or did you drive it in that config?
It was pretty annoying and did not fit the character of a Lexus at all. I was tired of it after a day.
