May be Hull KR will get there as well. You could see that it was a game for Catalans to win and for Saints to loose. The ref penalised Catalan for play acting for penalties once or twice. He (or video ref) must have felt Sironen was doing the same. I thought Dodd was very good - he just needs to look at the video and learn - ie step away even if you think its 100% certain score.
Saints are so good in defence and dominant in attack for long periods but simply don't convert enough of that dominance into points - I think we will ultimately come up just short again this season.
Absolutely I have a feeling Hull KR could win a trophy this year. Saints will compete and be up there but becasue of this lack of points won't win anything again. I still think there is a coaching issue with our attack

If we can take Wellens at face value about concentrating heavily on attack during the off-season then it only proves no amount of tactical ingenuity can overcome ineffective players. Particularly in positions 2-6. When defences are tight you need your attacking players to be able to create their own space - either with speed, agility or quick thinking. If Lomax, Makinson & Percy (when playing) turned in performances like they currently do in their first three seasons - they'd have been shipped off to Hull or Leigh or wherever. Konrad is ok beating up on weak defenders and the first thing Bennison does after receiving the ball is get tackled. Neither winger comes anywhere close to offering the yardage boost we received when Tommy was in his prime and Regan on the books. As for the Waqa Blake situation - anyone who watched him play in the NRL knew his head had gone. At this rate he'll be home by May. Unless Wellens acts fast and promotes someone like Vaughan or Sambou (forget Ritson - the ball never reaches him) the Blake signing could ultimately cost him his job.
There is not much wrong it just needs calm heads, we will fix it, it is not a big fix, heads up lads and lassies, we will turn it round, safe journey home all saints, love you all

The team is struggling creativity wise... Great defence and character, but you need to offer more. Attacking coach (whoever it is) needs to start earning his money! Bell should always be starting as a 13 to improve that creativity.
We are dreadful in attack. Never see a dummy runner, it’s up the middle and laboured passing across the pitch until we hit the touch line. This is not a Saints style of play, we must be more inventive from Lomax, Dodd and Welsby who don’t interact with each other. Surely our attack coach can see this and needs to have set move ideas. We convert opportunities and defence takes care of itself. It is not a good style of play to watch and you know what we get from Liam Moore, but he wasn’t the problem, being honest.
turning point was Dodd's pathetic failure to score. Woeful attack-again. Lomax needs to be dropped . Can't influence the game anymore and his goal kicking is poor.Bennison should be playing Championship rugby .Only thing he can do his catch high balls.

Walked away from the ground tonight gutted then a two hour drive to Barcelona we were of the same opinion we lost it ourselves we thought at half time there was only one team in it, oh well onto the home game next Sunday v Warrington
