Whyte has grown on me. A genuine lad and a definite player in the top few at HW. Wilder wanted nothing to do with him. Hope he gets a couple nice paydays. If Eddie could get him the winner of Fury Wilder, and the winner of that Vs Joshua (assuming AJ still unbeaten at that point), those would be great scraps and good paydays. This fellah deserves it.

You Brits always go for the easiest options. Fight Ortiz or Miller.
What do you mean the easy option? He's been trying to fight Wilder for ages...? The reason he should fight Brezeale is so he can get the mandatory spot and force Wilder to fight. Ortiz would be a great fight and if he can't get Brezeale then I'd go with that. Think its v unlikely it'll be Miller as Eddie has lined him up as a future AJ opponent. Also if you want to see someone going for the easy options.... go and give Wilders boxrec a read, its like the yellow pages for plumbers
Michael McMillian, I regard Whyte as AJ's bodyguard. His only jobs is to pick up AJ's dry cleaning and roadblock any dangerous opponents and take a dive in April. I think it is total rubbish that Hearn keeps trying to force that scrub onto Wilder before the unification fight. There should be an agreement that Whyte gets to fight the winner of AJ vs Wilder and until then Whyte stops mentioning Wilder's name. It seems that Hearn keeps trying to delay the Wilder fight and hopes Whyte can either delay or better yet save AJ from Wilder. The reason Whyte does not fight Ortiz or even Miller is because they would mostly likely remove his bodyguard. This whole situation will end badly for the fans as Hearn will put off the Wilder fight and keep forcing Whyte onto Wilder. Wilder in return has said that if the AJ fight is delayed then he will put off Whyte for a year to 18 months. Hearn needs to cut the bullshit and put a realistic offer on the table or accept the 50m from Wilder and Whyte needs to fight Ortiz or Miller and prove himself.
The £50m was based on it being on BT sport, AJ's contract with Sky prevents this i.e. Finkel knew the offer could never be accepted, was just a publicity stunt. He refused to disclose that this was one of the terms, he refused to meet to discuss, he just wanted "a public acceptance" so he could shape public opinion when AJ/Hearn would have to go back on it due to being on BT sport... PUBLICITY STUNT. The £15m is like 7 times Wilders highest payday, way more than he is worth and Wilder accepted it but subsequently backed out. Whyte just fought Parker... if Hearn was that worried about Whyte losing he wouldn't have made this fight. Whyte would've been Wilders biggest win monetarily and in terms of credit prior to Ortiz. I have no idea why people continue to view Whyte as a scrub when he has one of the best records in the division, he always takes the biggest fights he can (which is rare in the HW division, just look at Wilder), Whyte is fighting world champions at a point in his career where Wilder was still fighting bum cruiserweights. Whyte would be at worst the second best fighter Wilder has ever fought and the biggest payday.... stop dismissing him as a scrub!!! Look at who Wilders fought... how many do you honestly think are of a better quality than Whyte
