    Lussick whenever you’ve played us, he’s destroyed us whenever he’s come on, really poor decision from Wellens

      If he wanted to rest Roby, Lussick had to start. Absolutely mad decision. That said, your energy was too much for us and you were deserved winners

    Dodd, Hopo and Beno "soft" 😂 that's a nice way to put it 🤦‍♂️

    both teams had a fast turnaround both teams were missing players, playing out of position and not having played for the first team, we were better than that result last week and we had a point to prove.
    i think saints think they're untouchable to a point and because of our form of late we are always the underdogs but the lads are coming along now the pride, passion and will to win is growing.
    that said all respect to the travelling saints fans, loud and proud and a real credit to the team 👏

    Credit to Hull FC for completely outplaying Saints...we also had around half a dozen first-team regulars out lads. Suck it up lads, we were good all round. FC dominated from the off. COYH !!! What about the adversity that FC faced after seven straight defeats ?

    Disgusting performance . Absolutely clueless in attack and defence. Full credit to Hull they were superb. Poor selection decisions from Wellens very poor actually. For that performance the players and Wellens should hang their heads in shame. Yes you were that bad.

    can't single out individuals the whole team was terrible, win together lose together

    Good video and good assessment, always a fair comment on how the opposition play that causes ones team to make those errors and look bad.
    All ifs and buts, but how did you see the game going at halftime before Griffin's brain fart? I actually thought we (Hull) would have beaten you and I wasn't surprised we beat you last night tbh as the cracks were showing Saturday.
    Well done to your lot for coming over, it's a huge sore point for me as someone that travels from near London to get to Hull home games, Friday nights aren't doable for me so Thursdays are even worse. The RFLs fixture arrangement (and them bowing to what the broadcaster demand) is harmful to the sport as a whole incl harmful to the players IMHO.

    • @redveetv
      @redveetv  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's fair to say we thought we were in for a tough match beforehand and then before Griffin got sent off were concerned with how the game could go
      We even said after the game that Griffin cost you the win

    Wello got it wrong. He didn't think Knowles at nine was to blame.🤔🤔🤔

  • @Saints_Mariner
    @Saints_Mariner ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Not sure whether Welsby will be a full back for his career. His fault again for colliding into Ritson and just kick the ball dead.
    Lussick wasted. Not good for him or his confidence to lose out to a loose forward.
    Bennison looked so slow when he was charging up to run.
    Hopoate- just release him and send him home. I would rather have Davies or Bruines.

    It was like a performance under the last stages of Alex Murphy's reign before McClennan took over... That's the worst appraisal I can give! #getHolbrookback

    I thought Clifford would make a big difference compared with last week, but not THAT big a difference (I say without having seen it yet). It may be long, long ago since I was a hooker, and contested scrums have disappeared since then, but the demands of the position are unique either way. That's why you're quite right, you always need a proper 9, and Lussick is a good one.
    Not a result I wanted to see. The point will be to learn from it.

    I'm glad you picked out ritson for his pathetic dives at the feet. What is he playing at. That was bad. With some bad decisions to start with. Please never play Knowles at 9. Bell should probably be playing 80 mins..
    Hopoate I can't defend anymore. Rather see lms or matautia at centre

  • @martynholding302
    @martynholding302 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just watched match again and it was no better second time round...awful performance but take nothing away from hull who i thought were outstanding...what must be lussick be thinking now when the coach would rather pick a loose forward to play hooker. Its a specialised position where that split second quicker at the play the ball can make all the difference. It wasnt Knowles fault as i actually thought he didnt have a bad game.
    Wellens continued to stick the knife in lussick by saying when robes retires we'll need to bring someone in...why ? Clarke wont make any difference except put a big hole in our wage allowance

    As a big football and rugby league fan. When teams play each other within a few days you know that it's unusual to win both games. I went to Hull Thursday and had a feeling that Hull would be after revenge. This has happened on numerous occasions when two teams play each other in a cup then league a few days later. After the two games at Hull..I'd take the defeat in the league as the league is marathon not sprint .Saints will be back ..

    Lots were saying have faith & wait til we have a full squad to judge and they were right.
    As soon as we got all players back were looked a different side.I’m now concerned that it looks as though if we don’t have our normal starting 13 then we struggle to win games and play terrible.
    Also we seemed to play better when Matty Smith was covering for Laurent Freyssinous 🤔

    Very much one up rugby tonight. Any kind of attack just didn’t really happen. Nothing from Lomax, welsby just wasn’t his usual energetic creative self. Dodds kicking was very poor as usual. Starting Knowles at 9 was never a good idea!
    We looked like we went into it thinking but was gonna be an easy 2 points after what we did to them on Saturday

  • @stusmith4807
    @stusmith4807 ปีที่แล้ว

    You came to hull EXPECTING to win, I got that vibe in the challenge cup, if Clifford was playing and a different ref you would of lost that game, hill made 6 changes against a pretty strong st Helen’s team, yet as you say we were playing a weaker side, bollocks, st helelns were well beaten by a set of youngsters and a hard working team,

    • @redveetv
      @redveetv  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We said before the Cup game it could be a banana skin and that it wouldn't surprise us if we won one then lost the other. No expectation of turning over a team in good form from us.

    We could do with a player like Clifford, I love dodd but his kicking is really poor at the moment not up to standard at all for a champion side

      I think he's likely going back to Aus after next season, can't see us holding on to him longer term.
      Not sure there's enough lure for him to stay for a lucrative deal with Wanky/Stains/Goons/Whinos if he gets an offer from an NRL team, but who knows.

    • @jackb2809
      @jackb2809 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ynotnilknarf39 he could maybe follow a similar trajectory to Hastings and move to a title competitor in saints before going back over for a starting spot in the NRL, but I have no idea how long his contract at Hull is
