    No matter what Jack reads, it always ends up being emotional and reflective. He could LITERALLY read all of P.G. Wodehouse and the stats would still say he likes reading emotional and reflective books.

    • @RoxiriOrSokai
      @RoxiriOrSokai 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I think it's just because most fiction books are either emotional or reflective the way that Storygraph groups them

    • @michellefong952
      @michellefong952 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      I wish they would calibrate the moods more because emotional and reflective are used so often and I can't imagine some other moods being anyone's top.
      Tangential, but I really wish they would add romantic as a mood as well. I think a lot of non romance books can be quite romantic

    IT by Stephen King is a wonderful 1,000 + page book to tackle your big book fear!
    1. It’s divided into several parts, so it could be viewed/read as a series rather than one huge tome.
    2. Stephen King likes to write in bite sized sub-chapters. So his books read incredibly fast. No one likes an overly long chapter.
    3. It follows a bunch of children tackling their worst fears and eventually the same cast as adults. It’s one of those books where you feel like you’ve grown up alongside them.
    There is a caveat though: SK was going through some drug addiction while he was reading it and some of the book is rather… taboo. But it is still very well written and well worth the read.

    I almost had a heart attack and fell to the floor when you said that you are used to watch just one season and said THAT about stranger things. BUT I understand bc most times is watching a show or reading. We need more time on the day/night.

    Jack really said, I DON'T LIKE HAPPY BOOKS, I DON'T WANT TO BE HAPPY WHEN I READ, with his full chest and while looking down at the floor, as if that is not the most relatable thing i have hear all month.

    As it's the decade of Indigenous languages it would be interesting to review a few books by Indigenous authors like Lee Maracle or Richard Wagamese or Sherman Alexie. I've read 92 books so far this year, most of which have been audiobooks from the library app. Lots of bios and memoirs.
