Dang. You are good. This is spot on. The non-riders who call this a two wheeled car are missing one little detail... it's a two wheeled Corvette! Damn right. Ride one and feel like captain of the Enterprise. Twist that throttle and your first words are "Holy Shit!"
Coming from a Turbine Master like yourself, you are well-versed on the subject of pure power! I just want an afterburner in the trunk of my '06 Wing. Hook me up, brother!
Not to mention that flat-6 engines, much like I-6 engines, make good low-end torque, which is an unusual feature for motorcycles and is one of the significant contributing factors for the Goldwing being an easy bike to learn to ride on.
when you look at the rear of this bike, from the shape of the taillights, it looks like an S2000 sitting on top of 5gen accord coupe, or maybe that's just me

I want to confess I took my 2015 Ninja from Wisconsin down to Georgia. That night I slept like a baby. The next day I rode my bike for 15 hours maybe taking an hour brake all together that day. Eating lunch and stopping at some gas stations for fuel. The following day I rode for 14 hours. Going from Georgia to.. North Carolina and TN. That's right you already know what roads I'm talking about.. I love you TOUCH on the things motorcyclists pay attention to. There are paragraphs of missing information but for the general viewers they get an idea. If everyone had to ride at least a scooter for a year before they had their full license. They would a more watchful driver for the rest of their lives.
I have also sinned. I toured Angeles Crest Hwy, Sequoia National Forest, and visited a friend in Fresno before returning to San Diego on a Ninja 300. Three 300-350 mile days. I planned that length because everyone told me how exhausted I would be, especially on my little bike. TBH I could have gone further each day. Rode 2 1/2 hours through LA to oceanside with some traffic in one stint. If the bike had a slightly better seat I wouldn't have much to complain about. Legs get a little stiff but can be stretched on the bike. My feeling is one can tour on any bike. (Although the Goldwing has more appeal to me now that I've tasted vast open highways.) We are so spoiled on our motorbikes, the road bicycles I've toured 1000s of miles on make any motorcycle seem a luxury vehicle.
I'm planning to take my sv650 from Wisconsin to the rockies (glacier, yellowstone area). It's naked so I'm thinking about what the Dakotas will be like etc. I'll try to give myself plenty of time and flexibility schedule-wise.
My gramps had over a dozen of these *t a n k s* drove them from the Southeast to Nova Scotia with gram, always liked the 90's gold wings he had as the styling was sooooooo 90's
Good Lord you are soooooo right, there is so much more to riding a bike mentally than a car. Most car drivers feel safe and secure in their steel cocoons, where us riders are fully exposed to the world. I won't ride if I feel it fatigued in the least. One last thing I would like to mention. Growing up a friend's father was Die Hard Harley-Davidson, but when he got older and still wanted to ride. He went out and bought a Goldwing.
Mr. Regular, your love for vehicles is so apparent in videos like this. Thank you for helping a power cruiser fan understand the appeal of a touring bike in a way that not only makes sense, but is also inspiring at the same time. Keep making magic my friend! .
Being a seasoned rider for decades, having had saddle time in just about every aspect an owning a fair few, by FAR my favorite that I've owned is the one I have now, the Honda F6B. Basically, it's a lower, trimmed down Goldwing, in that it doesn't have a trunk bag, no reverse gear, no cruise control (early ones didn't, newer versions now have it, mine does with a retro-fit), an no adjustable suspension like the full-dress Goldwing. Hells, even the mirrors are the original Goldwing mirrors, but hung upside-down! It really is a lowrider 'Wing. Super plush, stable, quick an quiet, an almost no feeling of being tired after a 500 mile run to Myrtle Beach. After you get over the size intimidation factor, you realize that it's deceptively agile an easier to handle than you would first think. TONS of torque, like that of a diesel truck...the torque is just an endless wave. It doesn't tug you around, it wafts you effortlessly.
Excellent video. You're not joking Mr. Regular; I rode a Ninja 636 several hours across the state once. PAAAAAAIINNNNN. Also, whoever's reading this, go to your nearest BMW motorcycle dealer and test ride the K1600GT. It's pretty much BMW's version of this, but instead of a flat-6, it's a 1600cc inline-6, and OH BOY does it sound good. It sounds like if you mixed an E46 M3 with an F1 car (the last generation). Plus, you don't ever feel the slightest bit of vibration from the engine.
You are quite the weaklings... Maybe it is because I started going all-offroad from ages 6 to 17 but, yeah, I can travel for miles and miles on a motorbike without much pain. Of course a grand tourer is more comfortable but one of those "naked bikes with fairings" are good enough to cover 300-400 miles per day. Here is one of my last trips before having to sell my bike: · Barcelona-Tomelloso= thursday evening-night after working for 8h · Tomelloso-Jerez = friday morning, arrived late to watch the final practice sessions · Jerez = saturday and sunday all about MotoGp and other side activities · Jerez-Tomelloso = sunday afternoon-evening · Tomelloso-Barcelona = monday morning then worked the night shift 1250 miles in 4 stages. I could've been comfortable but it was 100% doable. I saw some folks doing the same route with stuff like CBR1100XX and even some crazy guy with a goddamn 2-stroke sportsbike (Yamaha RD350) from the 80s.
Diego Ruiz Come on, you live in Spain, that's Roads Heaven, it just get worse in Europe as far as roads go, now if see the roads we have in this continent you wouldn't last that couple hours.
Evidently, you have never ridden a Goldwing 1800. You feel like you're riding a sport bike. For the 2001 model redesign, the first year for the 1800, who did Honda pick to head the project? They tapped the head of Honda's motorcycle road racing, a 250cc Grand Prix technician, whose task was to make it more sporty. The 1800 corners incredibly.
this makes me happy. i have always been intimidated by the sheer size of the gold wing but after watching this, i feel like i can't wait to try it some day.
Outstanding recap / overview of . . . The Goldwing. Just, just . . . JUST bought a 2007 Metallic Black Honda Goldwing. Started with a Honda 50 mini-bike in 1975. Got a 1982 Yamaha 650 Seca out of the box in 1985. Road that HARD in Germany for 3 years. GOD saved my life 3 times there. Then in 2006, got a Honda PC 800 . . . fun bike, smooth. On to a 2003 Honda ST1300 in 2007 . . . fast, really fast. Smooth. Electronic windshield. ALL Wings should have had this. Now a Goldwing. I am shocked at HOW Smooth this is. And how Powerful it is. And how amazingly Comfortable it is. Just. LOVE. It!! My wife loves the back seat too. PSM16 is our license plate . . . much to be thankful for! God-Speed to all you who RIDE.
You nailed it when you described the situational awareness of a motorcyclist. For those who drive cars, please actually stop at stop signs and look around. "Rolling Stop" is not stopping. What everybody else sees is you continuing into an intersection when you dont have the right of way.
@helicopter weewee Honestly, it depends. If you are the hoon type of guy, get the K. If you care about smooth and Honda indestructibility then Goldwing.
The main difference is that Honda made a motorcycle for a specific type of riders and the Gold Wing came, BMW facelifted K1600 to try to do a Goldwing rival... Not only BMW, all the manufacturers want to do a bike which is close to Goldwing, and Goldwing is their measuring unit.
I'm 23 and own a 08 goldwing...i love the bike. i also own a GSXR-750 and intruder 800 so I'm not showing favoritism to any type of motorcycle. its all about the ride...not to many other people ride in the winter when its in the 30s but thanks to my goldwing i ride all year long.
As someone who works at a Honda/Yamaha/Suzuki/KTM dealer, we've got brand new 2019 gold wings in stock, and I can tell you, the -top- rated ones with an automatic transmission (yes you heard me right, automatic, on a motorcycle) airbags (once again, heard me right), and all other bells and whistles, comes in around 42,500, before taxes. After taxes you're in to around 44-46K. But, for a retirement couch on wheels? For those that can afford it? 100% worth it. (Note, this is also in Canadian Dollars)
My parents had some friends who rode Goldwings back in the '90s. Seemed like pretty nice bikes back then, too, though I could never quite get over my fear of riding them.
Your gonna die anyway, what's there really to fear? Look at your life as a split second, your entire life, now what are you going to do with that split second? Stay in fear of motorcycles? Not me.
I rode in the sidecar of a gl1500 from Phoenixville PA to Disney world once when I was 5 with my dad. Great memory. He used to tour these things around the continental US for years with my mom on the back for a lot of it. Hundreds of thousands of miles logged. They would do consecutive 500+ mile days and not even break a sweat. I’m 20 now and this bike got me into riding.
You sold me on this bike. Nice work! p.s.: You also described what it's like to ride a motorcycle for longer distances, absolutely perfectly. After riding my Ninja 250 for more than an hour and a half, I didn't want to get back on it for at least a week. That is when I finally started to understand why people love cruisers with big windshields, heated grips, and cushy seats.
i know its been said before and will get said again but leaving the audio mistakes and all and just blasting it out, is awesome. you never really notice it until you just kinda do, and you gotta appreciate it. regularcars is a regularguys too
I absolutely love my '07 Goldie for all the reasons mentioned in the video. All the party but without the hangover. I took her out last Saturday morning for a quick 5-hour ride before lunch -- 250 miles and countless mountain twisties -- without breaking a sweat. Dunno about other GW owners but I just smile and feel sorry for all the haters. Pure bliss.
Wow! This is the most complete and fair assessment of the Goldwing I've ever viewed. I've owned a 96' GL1500, four trips from California to Alabama and back. An 01' GL 1800 and currently the 15' F6B. That's 22 years and countless miles on a Wing, so I'm uniquely qualified to comment. Gunny J. OUT!
My grandpa at one point owned two Honda Goldwings. He sold one years ago and now only owns a (I think) 1995 trike. He's never had any issues with Goldwings.
The part where he talks about how quiet the exhaust is....I had a Honda ST1300, it was quiet, sounds a lot like this goldwing. Harley riders, said it sounded like a sewing machine. I always responded, “great. It supposed to sound efficient, reliable and quick”
Dragunov302 Why would you say that? I'm merely pointing out a simple fact. The Goldwing is a Japanese bike, hence it wouldn't be a 7 series beamer on 2 wheels. It would be a Acura RLX on 2 wheels. The top of the line BMW motorcycle would be a 7 series on wheels.
And that intergrated actual wind protection with actual vented heat plays a significant role in the NE in fall, early winter and early spring well beyond heated clothes, Grips, seats, gloves....
If you get a chance, check out a Honda Valkyrie. the 97-03 models, not the new weird thing they put that name on. They're goldwings without all the plastic. Every bit as smooth and as fast, and you can get them with this gargantuan windshield that makes them almost as easy on your stamina. If you make it to Raleigh you're welcome to ride mine.
Believe it or not, a Valkyrie is exactly my dream bike. Of course, being an engineering student, my fever dream is to put a super on it and see how many pounds I can shave off the bike. I may be a cruiser rider, but I love me some triple digits.
I've wanted to make a GL1000 or GL1100 bobber/chopper for years. Finally saw a guy who had done that a couple of years ago. Sounded nasty and looked the business.
The 1500 Valkyrie had a different engine set up... it was a honda gl1500 engine and trans, but it had different ignition timing and six carbs instead of two. (the Gl1500 goldwing only had two carbs). The exhaust was also different and I *think* it had hotter cams. They are just nasty sounding bikes. The Ugly one you are referring to is the Valkyrie rune.... It was based off the gl1800. Other bikes, not quite a Goldwing but is a goldwing is the FB6 (it's a gl1800 goldwing without the trunk and a cut down windshield and not as many options)
Great video. I own a 1998 gold wing and have been riding bikes for over 30 years. I have ridden 50 cc all the way up to the 1500, Honda, harley, Yamaha, Suzuki and will agree, gold wing and Honda for that matter are head and shoulders better than the competition. When you speak over dangers and fatigue, it is expressed from a seasoned rider as no other inexperienced rider could truly, realistically comprehend what you are describing. Tremendous video my friend. I found it thoroughly entertaining.
I just came off my friends gold wing. Lovely ride. Fast and powerful, smooth as butter. I just stay with smaller and more street friendly bikes. But I would choose a gold wing over any Harley for sure.
Excellent review. I worked with a master technician at a powersports dealership who specialized in Goldwings. He described them as the ''Cadillac'' of motorcycles, one of the best motorcycles you could get. They would only have a major breakdown due to, 14 out of 15 times, the owner not taking care of it. Even then the bike will keep going until the engine explodes. We had a guy who brought his Wing saying the engine was making a loud noise. When we checked it out we discovered that the owner had ran super shitty fuel through the system that caused the valves to develop a lacquer, and were not working right. The valves were even kissing the pistons, already causing damage, but that bike kept going. Cost the guy $3k for a valve repair on the LEFT 3 cylinders, because he ran really old fuel through it. Again great review, as soon as I saw this in my feed I tapped it. Keep up the great work!
Wow. Just stumbled across this video. And I must say you hit everything on the head. Been riding goldwings for years and everything you said is correct. Great job and now you got another subscriber
My Dad has ridden them since he was 40, he’s 75 now and still rides one. Now I’m 40 and want one! I did the VFR thing in my 30s but I can see myself on a Wing.
My dad has 4 of these! 1000, 1200, 1500 and a '17 1800. And it's true that you don't really feel the weight at speed, you can get "footpads" that are more forward than the regular footpegs for comfort (the bike in the video has them too). The footpads on my dads 1800 are all scratched up from grinding the road durring corners.
Thank you for putting into words what it's really like to ride a motorcycle! I mean, don't get me wrong, I love it! But the constant vigilant does wear on you a bit...
you are right about riding a bike teaches you how to anticipate danger on the road, more people need to ride because it also helps them become better drivers.
Had the ‘08 Goldwing with nav. I called it my 2 wheeled Accord. The side mirrors are almost exactly the same. Having your legs tucked in - for too long - I almost dropped the bike after getting off an off ramp and putting my legs out to hold up the bike when I stopped. Great bikes tho. 👍
I learned to ride motorcycles on my dads turquoise 1975 goldwing. He still has that bike and has a 2012 goldwing with 80,000 miles that he put all of them on. He's taking it all the way up to Alaska, the Rio Grande in New Mexico, Maine, and everywhere in between. Now Honda has an all new goldwing coming out and he plans to get that.
Riding a true cruiser bike (I have a Goldwing and a Kawasaki Voyager) it's one of the best experiences in motorcycling. I've owned everything from choppers to sport bikes, these cruisers are where it's at! There's a reason you'll find decade old sport bikes with a few thousand miles, yet all the wings are near 100k!
Explaining a goldwing to people who don't like them is a waste of time, kinda like trying to explain to Harley riders that other brands exist(and some do it better), and telling a BMW owner what the turn signal is(I'm a bmw owner). Exercises in frustration all of them. Dad has had 2 86 gl1200 aspencades, he's older, and it's just a comfy ride for him and mom. Me? I like weird things...maxims and round case ducatis...moto guzzis...urals...you know....weird things.
Wow, great review and on point when describing how you must pay attention to so many things when riding. It is very much more demanding than driving a car. This motorcycle has stood the test of time and deserves it's place in history. Honda has done a great job.
Numerous errors. 5 speed transmission. Those vents are not the heat vents of the comfort system. 210ft/lb of torque! Try about 100ft/lb. It's not a chevy v-8. Plenty of wind buffeting. Got one part very correct. Greatest Motorcycle Ever Built.
Used to ride a GSX750F 5 hours to university and by the time I got there I felt like I'd been riding 12 hours. Upgraded to a ST1100 and after 5 hours I felt like I could do another 5 no problem.
Best BIKE ever built? That's super subjective and there are way too many bikes for such a statement to hold any water. Best long-distance tourer ever built? I think most bikers can agree with that.
Kaizoushin don’t even think most bikers could agree with that. It just depends on the type of long distance touring one wants to do. Typically the less fit guys seem to gravitate towards a gold wing while more fit guys go with a sport tourer. The big guys seem to be able to just chill on a seat for hours at a time while other guys like to be able to stand up on the pegs every so often. I don’t foresee me ever wanting a Wing, maybe when I’m even older than I already am. Another thing that plays a significant factor in choosing a wing over a sport tourer is wether or not your wife plans on crossing the country with you, I’d agree every passenger would think a Gold wing is the best long distance tourer ever made!
I remember those ones (2008) still had the 5-speed manual, now they are AUTOMATIC... a hell of a lot easier to drive in heavier traffic and in the city which we all do!
Great review and you nailed every point about fatigue and watching traffic that exist. I owned a Suzuki C-109-RT their huge bagger with a 1800cc V-Twin and road that for about a year. Took that sucker from Daytona to Key West in one day and OH my gawd I was exhausted after those many hours on I-95 then US-1. But nearly was run over one to many times here in the Retirement State and sold the bike frustrated at the idiots on the road that ruined my hobby.
More motorcycles
Holy shit how is your comment not have a million people going yes yes yes
Please me daddy do it with dan
Eh

MY S2000, FUCKS lesser Hondas in the ASS
😂 😂 nailed it
From about ten minutes, the best explanation I’ve ever heard as to what it is to ride a motorcycle.
NOT A CAR... er, wait, it's almost a car....
It can tow a car :)
I've had lots of cars with a smaller engine.
Car comments are pure cope in the face of the Goldwing's opulence.
9:50 Looking around at people driving cars and trying to judge how dumb they are is the perfect way to sum up the entire experience of riding a motorcycle.
WTFknoxville driving anything that is what I do.
Yep. Being a cyclist is the same thing. It’s amazing how oblivious people can be.
@@21Trainman which is why i dont believe in loud pipes or loud clothing. drivers are blind and stupid no matter what.
"So you're... lookin' directly at drivers' eyes and trying to discern how dumb they are."
This is the quote that made the video for me.
Can concur. Riding a motorcycle takes way more brain power than a car and you'll never drive a car the same way after you learn to ride a motorcycle.
Yep, hard to turn the motorcycle brain off, even while driving a car.
I experienced exactly this
@@beverlymoore7987 as have I. It's a strange thing.
Riding a motorcycle is more like flying a plane than driving a car. If you don't execute precisely and use good judgement you are going to die.
After my first bike, I never answered another text or Snapchat or changed a song on my phone while driving again. I know it sounds bad but I had a horrible habit of it. After my first bike, I realized just how damn dangerous it was. I use my headunit if I need to skip. I want a motorcycle but all the interior features of a car, Honda Goldwing...
Features of a car? The brand new 2018 Goldwing even have applecarplay in it.
Literally tho. That's exactly what a gold wing is,
Heated seats
Heated grips
Electrically adjustable windshield
Reverse
Airbag
Electric mirrors
Cargo space
Front and rear speakers
Cruise control
Self canceling turn signals
Radio
Sat nav
Trailer hitch
Lots of Infotainment shit
I want a motorcycle, but i don't want a motorcycle... Honda Goldwing :-D
Don't forget, dildo warmers coming in 2018
And a dual clutch auto.

I rode a motorcycle in San Francisco in the early 90s. To say it made me a better and more aware driver is an understatement.
HALF A CAR
LOL
With more engine than a Civic.
Just missing 2 wheels.
Goldwing is like S-Class of flagship cars, sure there are 7-Series, Lexus LS, A8, but S-Class is always unique and in a league of its own.
Imagine, for a moment, a two wheeled V6 Accord. I need a change of pants.
BMW K1600GT maybe? :)
this makes me happy. i have always been intimidated by the sheer size of the gold wing but after watching this, i feel like i can't wait to try it some day.

WINGA DINGA

a bike for a true winga dinga
I've been serially considering a 2014+ Valkyrie. It's a goldwing, but without all the fairing. Looks amazing.
I want one too 😢
This fucking bike has more torque than my car.
moo. Miata?
This torque has more car than my bike.
He misspoke. It's 123 lb-ft. Still more than some cars.
Well, he said at the rear wheel, so maybe it was in a lower gear when they measured the torque?
This guy need to make more reviews. The Goldwing is a BEAST.
You nailed it when you described the situational awareness of a motorcyclist. For those who drive cars, please actually stop at stop signs and look around. "Rolling Stop" is not stopping. What everybody else sees is you continuing into an intersection when you dont have the right of way.
**looks at k1600 in driveway** **wants to start internet argument**
@helicopter weewee Honestly, it depends. If you are the hoon type of guy, get the K. If you care about smooth and Honda indestructibility then Goldwing.
The main difference is that Honda made a motorcycle for a specific type of riders and the Gold Wing came, BMW facelifted K1600 to try to do a Goldwing rival... Not only BMW, all the manufacturers want to do a bike which is close to Goldwing, and Goldwing is their measuring unit.
@MGTOW CAT FOOD SALESMAN it's also a different kind of bike...
@helicopter weewee No that's the Silverwing.
I *like* my BMW more (oilhead), but also admit my GL1800 is simply a better bike. We don't always prefer what's technically best for us.

It has a s2000 rearend! What the heck!
Rafael Avila holy shit it does
Top rear end a little bit, bottom half more like a mid 90s accord.
It's like frog mating.
ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Honda. It's a Honda. It looks like a Honda.
+Ninja Master
more like a mid 2000's mercedes-benz lol
My parents had some friends who rode Goldwings back in the '90s. Seemed like pretty nice bikes back then, too, though I could never quite get over my fear of riding them.
Your gonna die anyway, what's there really to fear? Look at your life as a split second, your entire life, now what are you going to do with that split second? Stay in fear of motorcycles? Not me.
The way you explained pulling the bike backwards while standing up and grabbing the front brake. Man that was so on point and so funny haha
"Best motorcycle ever!" Darn right! 👍
Absolutely love the explanation of motorcycle riding attention. You put that abstract difficulty into words. Great video!
Love the S 2000 tail lights on the luggage box...
My grandfather had a Gold Wing. Such a comfy bike. It's like a couch on wheels. My Grandma would sleep on the back of that thing
You sold me on this bike. Nice work!
p.s.: You also described what it's like to ride a motorcycle for longer distances, absolutely perfectly. After riding my Ninja 250 for more than an hour and a half, I didn't want to get back on it for at least a week. That is when I finally started to understand why people love cruisers with big windshields, heated grips, and cushy seats.
i know its been said before and will get said again but leaving the audio mistakes and all and just blasting it out, is awesome. you never really notice it until you just kinda do, and you gotta appreciate it. regularcars is a regularguys too
God damn. Put one of those engines in a VW bug. My god
Pure bliss.
"Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha will hand in their traced art..." Ouch. As a former V-Star and Vulcan owner that one stings a little bit.
Gunny J. OUT!
A good tradition needs to be keept... NOT A CAAARRRR!!!!
victorMD11 I thought he only said that with Suzukis
It's pretty much a car though.
Of course it's a car. If it has a radio jnstalled, it's a car. No matter what it's trying to hide down its pants.
ALMOST A CAR!!!!
Mr regular NEEDS to review the Amazonas 1600 motorbike.

This is the first thing iv'e watched since I bought my '82 GL1100 after work, 4 hours ago. Already planning the first trip
So, it's a 7 series BMW on 2 wheels.
ridcom No, it's a Acura 3.5 rlx on 2 wheels
redmr2na stfu
Grew up on the back of a Valk Interstate
Yess the Valkyrie Interstate. So badass it didn't even have a center stand.
CAR A NOT
CAR A NOT
It's only a model.

A CAR NOT!
Time has advanced... It's CARN'T
I've got an '87 GL1200 that my buddy has nicknamed the road couch. She's 30 years old and can still rock with a lot modern bikes!
The Goldwing should have been created under the Acura Badge. The NSX of Motorcycles.

0:55 Props to the cameraman 👏
Wow. Just stumbled across this video. And I must say you hit everything on the head. Been riding goldwings for years and everything you said is correct. Great job and now you got another subscriber
never cared for these but now I want one, huh
No, you don't.
Yes you do.
ZeeTheGshep Jesus fuck it’s *during
Thank you for putting into words what it's really like to ride a motorcycle! I mean, don't get me wrong, I love it! But the constant vigilant does wear on you a bit...
you are right about riding a bike teaches you how to anticipate danger on the road, more people need to ride because it also helps them become better drivers.
If the Goldwing is a bit too much, try a Pacific Coast. Also from Honda, just smaller.
I always liked that bike, but I couldn't get past the rear. The integrated fairing on the tail makes it look like a fat broad's ass.
Or a 2018 Goldwing.
Uglier too...
You know the Pacific Coasts are also called rolling urinals
I used to daily an 06 ninja 500r about 250 km a day. The bit about travelling and the fatigue is the most truthful thing I've ever heard
NOT A CAR!
Are you sure?
Close enough.
How fitting is that I opened the envelope which had the "NOT A CAR" -key chain that I ordered in it before I watched this.
The_Doctors_Tardis I’m not replying, just getting rid of this stupid comment thingy
So true, roadtrips on bikes are so exhausting. But, for some reason so enjoyable. No trip is ever boring as it is in a car.
200 lol we wish! Try 100 ft lbs at the wheel ;)
He meant 110 lb/ft
Had the ‘08 Goldwing with nav. I called it my 2 wheeled Accord. The side mirrors are almost exactly the same.
Having your legs tucked in - for too long - I almost dropped the bike after getting off an off ramp and putting my legs out to hold up the bike when I stopped.
Great bikes tho. 👍
"Hooning" : Somebody's been picking up Kiwi slang 😁
Im glad u started doin motorcycle reviews. It’s kind of an evolution with me as well so it’s pretty sweet
that dorothy reference
..Missile, I think...
Your regular bike reviews are certainly goldclass.
Almost a car?
I learned to ride motorcycles on my dads turquoise 1975 goldwing. He still has that bike and has a 2012 goldwing with 80,000 miles that he put all of them on. He's taking it all the way up to Alaska, the Rio Grande in New Mexico, Maine, and everywhere in between. Now Honda has an all new goldwing coming out and he plans to get that.
NOT A BIKE!!
2 1/2 minute Goldwing ad before this video was actually awesome. New ones are even lighter and have more features than a new Caddy. Crazy.
It sounds like George Jetson’s car.
I like how the back of this motorcycle looks like the rear of a Tiny S2000 on top of rear 90s Era Honda Accord.
6:50 it sounds like a damn diesel!
And?
It really does
Wonderful approach of presenting a product: humor, knowledge.
NOT A CAR...wait, actually, it might as well be.
Wow, great review and on point when describing how you must pay attention to so many things when riding. It is very much more demanding than driving a car. This motorcycle has stood the test of time and deserves it's place in history. Honda has done a great job.
HHHNNN NOT A LAWN MOWERRRR
Never forget when honda launched this version by showing Nicky Hayden (r.I.p.) tearing up a canyon road on a yellow gold wing. Epic.
Kaizoushin It may very well be just power-to-weight, as well.
No, they can't. Lol
I remember those ones (2008) still had the 5-speed manual, now they are AUTOMATIC... a hell of a lot easier to drive in heavier traffic and in the city which we all do!
"it's not a bike for splitting lanes" tell that to California drivers >
Great review and you nailed every point about fatigue and watching traffic that exist. I owned a Suzuki C-109-RT their huge bagger with a 1800cc V-Twin and road that for about a year. Took that sucker from Daytona to Key West in one day and OH my gawd I was exhausted after those many hours on I-95 then US-1. But nearly was run over one to many times here in the Retirement State and sold the bike frustrated at the idiots on the road that ruined my hobby.
