    So glad you are creating videos. It's nice to listen to you because you've been doing this for a long time. It's depressing when people give up. Thanks for continuing to share your life and experiences with us.

    Spot on tip thank you for sharing. I think fast builds discipline and mindset like you said which spills over into other areas of life. Not many people could go straight into a 36hr fast. Sure gets easier if u stick with it. Have good week

      You are so right, it does get easier as you practice consistency, and I love how the self control spills over like you said. Thanks for your support as always Kevin, have a good one!

    I listened to your interview with Gin Stephens on Intermittent Fasting Stories tonight. It was very inspirational to me. I’ve been doing IF since May 26, 2022. The weight loss has been so slow, but I’ve been morbidly obese for a long time.
    I’ve dabbled in ADF but not made a full commitment. I know in my heart it will be the key to breaking my insulin resistance and allowing me to reach my goals. I’m so glad to have found your channel.

      Thank you Grace! Since you’ve been doing IF for a long time and have already tried ADF, maybe commit to it for a month, and see how you feel? You definitely don’t have to do it forever unless you want to. I’m sure you’ve already improved your health so much! And I know you can do it. Welcome! One day you’ll be on Gin’s podcast too. 😊🙌🏼

    This what I've been talking to my friends about. We are strong and we can do hard things. I'm so surprised at me living this fasting life and even sharing my journey on youtube. For anyone who want to try fasting you can do it. I am doing it and I've lost over 50lbs with fasting

    Do your hunger pangs ever go away on your fast days? Im almost to my 4th week of ADF and I am still very hungry on my fast days and I thought that would go away..

    • @MomFasting
      @MomFasting  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does get better! I recently listened to a podcast where they said that the more insulin resistant you are, the hungrier you’ll be on your fast. I would get your fasting insulin checked to see where you’re at. I’m planning on doing mine through walk in labs soon, they are very reasonably priced. But yes, no matter where you’re at, it does improve over time. Sometimes going for a walk will help!

    Hey Lexi, how are you doing this past week? Second fast day this week for me right now @ 22hrs. Cold hands and feet haunts me 🥶😶‍🌫️. I’ve been thinking about appetite control, do you still struggle with it after a few days of consecutive eating days?

    • @MomFasting
      @MomFasting  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey hey! I’m doing good as far as being healthy so yea for that! Fasting has been hard the past couple months and I think I figured out it’s because I havent been sleeping well. So I’m working on that right now. 😵‍💫 Do you only have cold hands and feet? When I get cold during the fast I’m cold all over! So that’s interesting. Blankets and socks are your friends! Maybe some mittens as well hehe. Appetite control, yes it’s still a struggle if I have like 3+ days in a row but I’ve noticed if I focus on TRE it is so much better, like no snacking takes appetite correction up a notch. Do you not find that? Anyway, fast on friend! 🙌🏼😊

      @@MomFasting poor sleep definitely makes it harder, u we’re going through some stress weren’t u, do u take magnesium daily? I can’t do without mine, even with it sometimes I still struggle. I get cold all over too but especially hands and feet, even with thick socks. Normally, I have very warm hands. I think the only thing that works is hot shower or lying in bed under duvet for a very long time 😂 I did daily window and TRE last week and found it very easy to do 17:7 with 3 meals and a snack, but obviously no weight loss. Not sure if you could even call that TRE with so many meals but still better than grazing all day. When I did 5:2 back in Sep-Nov 22 for 10 weeks, I found that I didn’t have appetite control, and would binge on the weekend, maybe I needed to add TRE or daily window? And I can’t remember the last time I wanted to have Brussels sprouts.

    • @MomFasting
      @MomFasting  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, stress for sure but poor sleep because of kids haha. My oldest stays up to late and my youngest has been having nightmares since we moved into this house. 😵‍💫 I do take magnesium! And I think it does help. Yeah so maybe adding a little TRE on the non fasting days with 5:2 would help, and you’re right even 17:7 with 3 meals and a snack is better than constant grazing. 🙌🏼

    • @patriciawai4791
      @patriciawai4791 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MomFasting oh no amount of magnesium would help your sleep in that case 😅 my almost 14yrs old also stays up and I was the most uncool parent when I tried to get her to bed at 10.30pm when her friends all stay up past midnight on school holiday. Nightmare for the little ones are beyond our control, hope he settles soon. Btw, half a teaspoon of salt, drank before midday helps with brain fog in the afternoon. But if I add another half teaspoon later in the day. the scale doesn’t move. So now I limit to half teaspoon a day.

    • @MomFasting
      @MomFasting  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s so interesting! Good experimenting 😃 Yeah we are “those parents” too because my husband has to get up at 5:30 for work and we want our kids in bed when we are in bed. Oh well, we always tell them they can find a new family! 😂
