I got two loaves of the Kiss my Keto Golden wheat. I LOVE IT! to have bread with zero carbs is a game changer. It's worth the price just to get bread back in my life!
I am very grateful for these videos, as I would literally never pay $10 on a regular basis for a loaf of bread! However, maybe for a party or a special occasion, or a once in awhile thing for the holidays. So Steve, once again, thank you very much for putting it all out there!🍞👍
We make keto "chips" using Joseph's brand lavish breads from walmart. Use pizza cutter to cut, toss with oil and seasoning in its own bag, and bake for 7 minutes at 375F
I got the variety pack during their. 35% off sale, so it was about $6.50 a loaf. Yes the slices are small but they make a nice sandwich. I made a peanut butter toast with the cinnamon raisin but agree it is the least impressive bread. Thanks for your review!
Thanks for the reviews Steve. I'm a very sensitive type 2 diabetic. Glad to see that they are getting better at making products that don't affect the glucose.
Thank you for this, I have been wondering about their breads. It sounds like the taste is amazing and so are the ingredients and the glucose level stability after eating it. Even the small size doesn't bother me as I don't eat very large portions, but the price is a big deterrent for me. That is crazy expensive for a loaf of that tiny bread!
So glad to see these. Carbonaut and Oroweat's "keto" breads do not work for me (they spike my sugar). The only one I've tried so far that doesn't wreck my glucose is Aunt Millie's CarbSmart, but my local stores don't carry it reliably. Bread freezes so well, I would rather pay $10 for a loaf that won't hurt me than less for one that will. I can get a bunch of sandwiches out of a loaf over time. Imagine what I would pay for proper keto mac and cheese! I wonder if the cinnamon raisin would work well as French toast. That was usually what I did with cinnamon raisin bread in the Before Times. They should sell that one unsliced so you can do thick slices for French toast! :)
What I found: Cultured Wheat is a natural preservative produced via a unique controlled fermentation of wheat flour with Propionibacterium freudenreichii. This bacterium is best known for its role in the creation of Swiss Cheese.
Thank you! Just had grilled cheese and tuna sandwich on the dark bread with avocado oil and tomato slice. I also ate two tiny pretzels. At 30 minutes i was up from 94 to 98 mg/dl glucose so that’s amazing
Thanks Steve! Your honest and real-time opinions might influence them to size up on those slices. Now that I got my Keto-Mojo I appreciate the glucose tests in your videos even more. I’m obsessed now 😀
Thanks for the review, Steve. Sharing info I found online: "Cultured wheat is a natural, clean label mold inhibitor and antimicrobial agent. It can be used in yeasted and chemically -leavened products such as breads, buns and cakes." 😁😁😁😁🥰🥰🥰 It lowers dough or batter pH It does this by the inhibitory bacteriocin peptides produced by bacteria present in the culture
Thanks so very much for your hard work on reviews like this! Blood glucose response varies person to person, but I find your guidance a huge benefit. Thanks again!
Cultured wheat, to be certified, has to be grown adjacent to an opera house. Otherwise, you can expect that it was, at the very least, fertilized with composted Oscar Wilde or Thurber novels. Remarkable results for keto bread. I find that I don't really crave sliced bread anymore (Italian bread, OTOH...), but a sandwich on high quality bread would be very nice every once in a while.
I made a loaf egg white bread (Wholesome Yum recipe - from scratch NOT using their bread mix) the other day and had it as an open sandwich with ham, cheese and tomato. Even though I wasn't craving bread I really enjoyed having something different.
Thanks Steve. I love that you not only review the bread but include glucose readings as well. I know mine might not be the same readings but it’s a pretty good indicator. This bread is expensive but sounds like it may be worth it.
Thank you, Steve, for doing all this analysis. It really helps know the bread is safe to eat and not spike glucose. I bought the Golden Wheat and have used it for sandwiches. On Keto I don't eat as much as I used to. I can make a good filling sandwich with that bread. I like it and did not have any side effects. Normally I use Kroger Lettuce Boats for sandwiches so don't eat the bread very often. I will continue to buy it though. Was hoping the Cinnamon Raison review was better. I love cinnamon and would like to have that bread with breakfast as toast with butter. Will try the Seeded Wheat next.
I’m six months bread sober, and this is great to see! I’m ordering it Idc what it cost. To enjoy a grilled cheese or peanut butter toast again is almost priceless! 😂
The only downside to this product, in my opinion is the price for the size. Aside from that, it's "clean", tastes good, and doesn't cause me a glucose spike.
You do such an amazing job on these reviews!!! Thank you so much! And I love that you mentioned that they had been frozen so we know how they tasted thawed.
I haven't tried this brand, but another with similar ingredients (Sola) and the same thing - SMALL slices, but they toasted up well and they make for great sandwiches. I'll try this one - especially the seeded one as I love seeded bread. When I am home and do not need to worry about ease of prep, alternative lunches work fine, but being able to have a safe for me sandwich for outdoor fun days while the rest of the family is also eating sandwiches (on regular bread) is really, really nice. It's not messy or difficult to eat and tastes (to me) just like I'm eating a regular sandwich. I will keep such loaves of bread in the freezer just for such occasions (like ski season for us right now). I am a baker and could probably make these myself as I do know how to make these bread, keto breads, but to be honest, I'm lazy when it comes to cooking special things JUST for me, so I'm really happy there are bakeries making them now.
This is good to know. I bought the variety pack some time ago and have only had the dark wheat so far, but liked it. However, since my weight loss stalled on net versus total carbs (i.e. I was eating net), I have not had any in a while.
Yes, this video was useful. I may try it once. The price is high so not often. Size is ok cause I'm use to keto type breads being small. Thanks for the review.
I discovered a bread by Lewis Bake Shop Keto bread in Hawaiian bread which has about the same ingredients. A one pound loaf cost $5.40 and I find it at Meijer which is a grocery chain in Michigan. It is delicious. The label does say soybean oil is the 5th ingredient and cottonseed oil as the 13th ingredient, but to have a sandwich once a week or so, I figure it is worth it to me for a bread that is actually delicious. The size of each slice is comparable to a slice of Wonder Bread.
I have the cinnamon raisin and it’s ok with butter. I don’t have it often because it’s so expensive, but glad to know how your glucose reacted. Thanks for this information.
OF COURSE ITS WORTH THE MONEY!.. LOL... OTHERWISE NO BREAD!.. usually with others - Glucose Spike, Bad Flavor, Bad Texture, Bad smell... so if NO BREAD VS EXPENSIVE SMALLER SLICES BUT GOOD TEXTURE, TASTE, SMELL AND CAN ACTUALLY ENJOY SANDWICHES AND TOAST FINALLY... THEN YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Sold!!!!!!!! Thanks for the Review..!.. Much Appreciated!..
Thanks Steve! Been wondering about this line of breads for awhile . . . The “honey” on the ingredient list was a little concerning; however it sounds like that was the component to activate the yeast. May get a loaf to freeze and keep for a special occasion.
The honey in these breads is the bottom ingredient. It's there to activate the yeast. That honey get's eaten by the yeast, so it will have zero impact on blood sugar.
The seeded bread reminds me a bit of Poulsbo bread which I miss terribly even after years of not having any. I am going to try it even at $10 per loaf. I've spent more on less satisfying things. Have I mentioned how my I love your letting your geek flag fly? Yeah, I have. Still true. Thanks for taking another one for the team. WIN!
Thx. Based on ur review, ordered seeded and golden wheat. Like having the texture of bread with bacon and eggs bkfst, and stable blood glucose levels after consuming? That’s what I want. I’m not pre- or diabetic either, so blood glucose response should be abt the same. Thx again. Very helpful.
Great review Steve! You're helping a lot of us save money by not having to test everything on our own. Given that, makes this more affordable in my book. Thanks.
I've been making the egg white powder bread from Indigo Nili's channel for a while now. It feels kind of funny when you take it out of the oven because it is so light, but it tastes and feels great when you are eating it. I've been doing a few experiments with it on my own, in my last loaf I added some nutritional yeast flakes and that was pretty good. Don't think this is the old cloud bread, this stuff really is a great replacement for plain white bread. If you decide to do a test, make sure you find the video where she did two butter powder experiments and ended up with a recipe in her comments that uses 100g of egg white powder, that's the best so far. Oh, and before someone asks, no I do not use the arrowroot powder in mine. I'd like to see you do a test, that would be fun for this channel.
Thank you for this. I can't eat any of these because of celiac but I am going to recommend this video to the keto support group I manage. Hope to get you some views!!
Thanks for the in-depth review, Steve! Very interesting. For me, it’s not worth the price unless there’s a pretty substantial sale going on with the company.
The best KETO bread i have tried is Aunt Millies low carb bread, its soft and moist , I don't eat it every day but when i want bread, or to eat a sandwich, it is the best. its about $4 a loaf and its a small loaf.
About the tiny slices - Keto is a food lifestyle that is trying to establish NEW NORMS, and we should be attempting to downplay the role carbs play in our lives, not trying to "get back to normal". I feel the slice size helps with that. Toast should be a treat, like a dessert. Decent sandwiches could be made with this bread too, just make dagwoods! Make a tall one, so there's more filling and less bread. Bread should be a delivery method for whatever you're putting on it, not the 'staff of life' it's been made out to be. Wouldn't you pay $10 for a cake that size?(if you had to buy one) Aren't the crappy grocery store sheet cakes something like $20 now? I'm not looking to replace all the carb-filled foods of my previous diet with faux-carbs. If you're actually eating keto, you don't need all that filler. Bread is a useful vehicle, though, and I would like some occasionally. So thanks for letting us know how good these are! Might go for it sometimes, if I haven't found a way to bake it at home myself. ;)
I got a kick out of getting a message from you while I was still watching. I'm a VERY regular watcher that has been keto for a couple of years. Lost over 100 lbs and depend on info like this. THANKS AGAIN
@@SeriousKeto Yes. The really FUNNY thing is, 5 minutes later, the kiss me keto order I placed a few days ago arrived. I caught a glimpse of your blood level graph on another one of your vids, so I went ahead and ordered. I watched your KMK review, commented, rec'd a response, then rec'd my order, all in a 30 minute time frame.
Thanks, Steve! Have you tried Aunt Millie’s keto bread? It’s the closest thing I’ve had to white bread. They have a wheat version too and the size of their pieces is like regular bread.
@@SeriousKeto thank you!!!! Watching now! Admittedly, the Aunt Millie’s seems to spike my blood sugars and is also a huge trigger for me but - every now and then - I need toast or a peanut butter sandwich! I wish you could have tried the white. I think it smells like wonder bread
I buy Sola bread at Walmart and my grocery store (H-E-B in Texas). Seems all keto bread has small slices, except for Deidre's bread made in a stand mixer.
Compared to what I used to spend on food from restaurants, this is still a decent deal in terms of cost per slice, especially if the taste and quality of ingredients is good like you say. Sure, I could try to make bread at home, but I’m busy, lazy [insert any other excuse here] , so I will pay for the convenience, and hopefully there is consistency of a good loaf every time. If it is as good as you say, I can see myself using it in a variety of ways beyond addressing the craving I’ve been having for a good sandwich especially a grilled cheese.
I've always loved making my own bread, now I'm researching homemade Keto recipes... and that with the price will keep me from buying these. Thank you for your review❗🤴
If you love baking bread and have not tried the Diedre's Bread Recipe, it is worth the trouble to make. It is vital wheat gluten based, and is, honestly, the best low carb bread out there. th-cam.com/video/sFdN4tF_eCQ/w-d-xo.html The egg white protein breads are all the rage these days, and if you like the taste and texture of memory foam, then go for it. However, several TH-cam creators have made good substitutes that are close to "real bread," such as 2 Krazy Ketos bread with Keto Chow (th-cam.com/video/pG90dxiXa5E/w-d-xo.html) and Keto Upgrade's low carb bread loaf (th-cam.com/video/0k6QK-1fUws/w-d-xo.html)
@@nancycurtis3964 Also Ketogenic Woman makes a lot of egg white bread-this recipe is for carnivore bread and I made it and it is quite good. I make buns and not loaves and this bread was the best egg white bread I have made so far.
Thanks Steve, it seems like more Keto bread varieties are showing up at my grocery store, some are major taste fails, your reviews are extremely helpful!
Thank You for this scientific and honest review. I believe this could be definitely worth it to keep glucose readings down especially being a type 2 diabetic. I literally just ordered it off the net to try it for myself. Being Italian doesn't help either but I found a keto pasta recipe that works and tastes as good as normal carb rich pasta.
Hi Steve, was wondering if you've ever tried this bread "Lewis Healthy Life Keto" bread. In my local stores they have the regular and the Hawaiian. They carry it at all the Walmarts around here in southeast Tennessee and also the local grocery stores. Thank you, we sure do appreciate all your hard work.
Thank you again for another stellar informative review. I am undecided if it's worth the cost since I now only occasionally crave bread. But I am considering it since it is kept frozen.
Thank you Steve so nice of you to make videos that are so informative to all those doing Keto like myself. I make the protein egg whites bread, it’s ok just kind of spongy if you don’t toast it, it’s a bit dry too.
Thank you for the review. Price is a bit way up there for me. I tried a single loaf but S&H was $10. I'll keep checking for any future sales. I'm glad you're doing great, Steve!!!!!
Great coverage of the product line! Keep slaying the you tube ! Even on home made clean breads.. like psmf versions..I find the toasted is the best ! So I can imagine that these would be best toasted too... Great vlog!
I think is worth the price. The only thing I really miss is toast in the morning. I did find a sorta of substitute, cauliflower thins. Taste good but didn’t get crunchy, I got these from Costco.
Thanks so much Steve for doing all these comparisons. For me it seems that the higher carb breads with high fiber content that would bring the slices down to 4 net carbs still raise my blood sugars pretty high. SO, regarding this "Kiss My Keto" breads I'll attempt a try to see if they'll keep my blood sugars level from start. Thanks again. God bless.
Great review! The one thing that bothers me is at almost $10 a loaf they could easily use a better oil than palm oil, aka avocado oil. Also agree on the very small slices factor.
So you're not bought into the "sustainable palm oil" practices/certification? Or is there some issue you have with the process? I'm not arguing; I'm curious.
@@SeriousKeto no not arguing either, I’m not ok with the impact on wildlife that it’s having. Lots of endangered animals are put at risk due to palm oil production
Really appreciated the chapter breaks on this vid. Never used that before but as soon as You expertly showed the ingredients - I was out - wheat sensitivity :-( However for me, even living on $1,700 p mo, I would spend $10 p loaf for a delicious 'bread'. Granted they would be frozen in 2 slice packs & the loaf would last a LONG time but... to be able to have a 'real' tasting, healthful for me bread... I'd pay. I'd fairly gladly pay $6.50. I Love Bread :-) Still waiting...
Great video; thank you for doing this! If it wasn't for your videos, I would have bought all the wrong breads and be wondering why my GKIs were getting messed up. Can you also glucose tests on home-made 90-sec microwave keto breads?
I almost bought these last night, I was shopping Amazon to bulk up my low carb foods, but the $10 per loaf made me to rethink the purchase, and why the charge so much and use palm oil, one of the worse oils out there. Olive or coconut oil would have been better. Thank you for sharing the testing 👍🏻😁
Thanks for doing this intense review! I know we all talk about the cost of Keto products and Kiss My Keto bread fits that category. I found L'oven Fresh Zero Net Carbs Multiseed Bread at Aldi for $4.29 a loaf (our Costco stopped carrying Carbonaut bread). The L'oven slices are pretty consistent in size to non-Keto breads. It's used more as a vessel rather than taste, but the fiber count is very good. Again, thanks Steve!
I have had the cinnamon raisen and I toast it, butter it and add some mixed erythretol and cinnamon and put it on top. That makes it better. I do want to try the other kiss my keto flavors.
I’ve found that Brownberry Keto bread is the closest to regular white bread I’ve ever had on my three years on keto. Have you heard of it? It has a lot more of those modified flour ingredients so it has 3 net carbs per slice. And to be honest its a problem for me control wise. 😉 It’s excellent for peanut butter toast and grilled cheese.
I haven't seen the Kiss My Keto bread - didn't even realize they made one (much less 4 varieties!). I've been away from bread for so long I'm not sure if I really need it bad enough at that price.
I feel like at $5/loaf, it would still be a bit pricey, but it tastes enough like real bread without the glucose spike, that I think it would be an easy recommendation at that price.

Thank you for your review. The seeded sounded the best to me, and I was glad you said it tasted really good. While I am not in favor of paying a lot for products, it would really be nice to have a buttered slice of toast. We found a 4 pack on amazon for $9 a loaf so my husband said we should get it as a treat and freeze them. BTW, your cat is so cute that was on the video with Colton the other day.
Thanks for trying these products. I keep some Unbun bagels in the freezer in case I get a craving for bread (was never a big sliced sandwich bread fan). Perhaps this might find its way into my freezer.
I so much appreciate your testing this food because that could become expensive if they don’t taste good! 🥰

Might go for it sometimes, if I haven't found a way to bake it at home myself. ;)
I think for as often that I would consume bread (not every day), it would be worth the cost!
Yes, I'm sure it can be frozen, like regular bread
I got a kick out of getting a message from you while I was still watching. I'm a VERY regular watcher that has been keto for a couple of years. Lost over 100 lbs and depend on info like this. THANKS AGAIN
Sometimes you just happen to catch me when I’m managing comments. 😉
@@SeriousKeto ...and was eating a KMK turkey sandwich while I wrote these replies
💜🥰🤩🤗
I bought one of each about a year ago, and was very pleased, I only have a piece or two once in a while, perfect for soping up yolks!
Do they have to be frozen? How long does it keep on counter?TY
@@carolgenty9761 I have always kept mine frozen since I do not have it often, I do not know how long it stay on the counter.
Thanks, Steve! Have you tried Aunt Millie’s keto bread? It’s the closest thing I’ve had to white bread. They have a wheat version too and the size of their pieces is like regular bread.
Here you go: th-cam.com/video/GKN9naW_yn0/w-d-xo.html
@@SeriousKeto thank you!!!! Watching now! Admittedly, the Aunt Millie’s seems to spike my blood sugars and is also a huge trigger for me but - every now and then - I need toast or a peanut butter sandwich! I wish you could have tried the white. I think it smells like wonder bread
Shipping is unreal. Price almost doubles. Thank you for testing it.
I buy Sola bread at Walmart and my grocery store (H-E-B in Texas). Seems all keto bread has small slices, except for Deidre's bread made in a stand mixer.
OMG what a small slice!
It is vital wheat gluten based, and is, honestly, the best low carb bread out there. th-cam.com/video/sFdN4tF_eCQ/w-d-xo.html
The egg white protein breads are all the rage these days, and if you like the taste and texture of memory foam, then go for it.

@@nancycurtis3964 Thank you🤗
@@janicecarey3592 Thank you😋
Thanks for all that hard work and genuine analysis. It really makes a difference.
Thanks for testing all of them. It's nice to know they taste pretty good.
Thanks for the review. All these breads are a no go because of wheat.
Yeah it’s pretty darned expensive. BUT for a treat here and there - I would probably buy it. Thanks for the review.
Great video. I love all the different T-shirts.
Yeah, the price was and off putter for me, too.
Thanks for your hard work Steve. It’s very much appreciated.✌️
This video was very useful!! Thank you so much for doing such thorough reviews!! Your reviews are the best!!
Thank you for this review. The only one I was REALLY interested in was the cinnamon raisin... lol. Appreciate the information as always. ❤
love the glucose performance tests with the product reviews!
You’re the best, thanks for doing another test for us!!
Yep. I recorded that video earlier this week. Based on my schedule, it probably won’t be released until March.
Spot on analysis as always, but does tigger my T-shirt envy gene. 😎
Thank you again for another stellar informative review. I am undecided if it's worth the cost since I now only occasionally crave bread. But I am considering it since it is kept frozen.
That's where mine are - in the freezer.
Thank you Steve so nice of you to make videos that are so informative to all those doing Keto like myself. I make the protein egg whites bread, it’s ok just kind of spongy if you don’t toast it, it’s a bit dry too.
Really appreciate you bringing us this content Steve. Helps us to figure out what to try out. Wish the price wasn't so high though.
Me too. I would be a big advocate of this bread if it were $4-$5 per loaf.
@@SeriousKeto I would buy in a heartbeat at $4-5 per loaf to try.
Thank you for the review. Price is a bit way up there for me. I tried a single loaf but S&H was $10. I'll keep checking for any future sales. I'm glad you're doing great, Steve!!!!!
The price is a hurdle, for sure.
Great coverage of the product line! Keep slaying the you tube ! Even on home made clean breads.. like psmf versions..I find the toasted is the best ! So I can imagine that these would be best toasted too... Great vlog!
Thank you very much for this video surely we now know what keto bread is good to eat.
I think is worth the price. The only thing I really miss is toast in the morning. I did find a sorta of substitute, cauliflower thins. Taste good but didn’t get crunchy, I got these from Costco.
Good stuff; thank you, Steve. I was really pulling fort the cinnamon raisin bread to hit it out of the park. Oh well........
God bless.
Thank you Very Much for testing this for us. I live on SS and just can't afford that. 😔 bummer
Great review....if I was really strict keto, I think I'd buy it and try it. Sometimes you just crave a decent piece of toast!
Great review! The one thing that bothers me is at almost $10 a loaf they could easily use a better oil than palm oil, aka avocado oil. Also agree on the very small slices factor.
What bothers you about the palm oil?
@@SeriousKeto just not a fan of it, specifically the process used to obtain it.
@@SeriousKeto I see no sustainable practices for the palm oil listed. I certainly may have missed it though!
Really appreciated the chapter breaks on this vid. Never used that before but as soon as You expertly showed the ingredients - I was out - wheat sensitivity :-(
However for me, even living on $1,700 p mo, I would spend $10 p loaf for a delicious 'bread'.
Please explain to me why you feel that palm oil is "one of the worst oils out there".
This was great to watch, I was considering kiss my keto bread. thanks
I have had the cinnamon raisen and I toast it, butter it and add some mixed erythretol and cinnamon and put it on top. That makes it better. I do want to try the other kiss my keto flavors.
Thanks for all your reviews
I've been subbed since you began talking about keto videos. I've missed a bit of them recently. But I really like this style video. Just sayin'. 👍
EXCELLENT!!! I've wanted to try this brand. Now I WILL.
Glad I could help. The only downsides to this bread are the small slice size and the big price tag.
It will be in my next keto bread review. 🙂
Bought and tried the seeded wheat. Tried it 2 days ago. Was good. However, severe cramping and bloating x2 days so far since eating it.
Thank you so much, Steve, for reviewing these breads! I was hoping the cinnamon raisin would be delicious! Disappointed it's not...😞
Thanks Steve. All those quality ingredients and price and they use palm oil
What is your concern with palm oil?
Thanks Steve for being the Keto Community guinea pig;)
$10/loaf? OMG!
To quote the philosopher, Fred Sanford, "It's the big one! I'm coming home, Elizabeth! "
Your t-shirt collection continues to crack me up! 😁
Great review on the bread. thanks
Cultured wheat is a natural, clean label mold inhibitor and antimicrobial agent. It can be used in yeasted and chemically-leavened products such as breads, buns and cakes. It lowers dough or batter pH. It does this by the inhibitory bacteriocin peptides produced by bacteria present in the culture.
Correct. You're the third person to send me that this morning. 😉
Hey Steve, I noticed the two packs are even more expensive! Thanks for the review.
This is not an inexpensive bread, that’s for sure.
Unbun just sent me some bagels and tortillas. I wasn't a fan of their buns. That review will probably happen in March or April, based on my backlog.
