@yagai_no_moriko You are a good friend to send Mav a care package from Japan! I watch a lot of camping videos from Japan both in cars and in tents! The blow up tents are very popular ! But respectfully why do you and many others not show your face? I see many Japanese hide their face in videos! Can you please explain why? Thank you so much !!
Mav, remember to send a gift package back to Moriko! This is a common thing that people in Japan will do, to show their friendship. I had a lovely coworker I spent time with in Japan, send me over a beautiful artisan forged Japanese knife as a gift. It’s not expected, but it would be awesome if you sent Moriko back a gift of similar value. Don’t send anything too overboard, or you will end up in a gift exchanging war! Thanks for your videos!

Nice setup. Most people usually use a kettle to warm up the water then pour it into the container that way it won't get ruined just thought I'd share that with you
this is hilarious. i understand mavs thought process of heating up metal over the fire because i wouldnt have thought of the kettle either but its so funny to realize how he basically cooked that thing like a piece of meat on the grill instead of just pouring in already-boiled water
I watch truckhouse life. Timmy has a little wood cabin on his Ford 350...lives in Alaska. Anyway his little truck cabin has a small wood heater. He starts his fires with a small hand held propane torch. You might consider that
He also cuts his wood down to smaller pieces, and that's the reason it's burns better. The snow in the bottom didn't help either, creates steam and chokes the flame.
Awesome fish! If you have the time, here is a tip to get your meat really brown and flavorful in an Instant Pot ( you may already know this and you were just in a hurry): Do the meat in batches, without anything else, leaving space in between, otherwise the meat will steam instead of browning. Oil or fat in the pot, then meat chunks, 5 minutes on each side (no stirring), remove and do the next batch of meat. The flavor of the final dish is through the roof, so it's worth the extra time, if you have it. Even without that technique, that curry looks amazeballs!
Mav love all your content, would euphorically enjoy you showing us Australia!! I think there would be much to explore and many new adventures to discover. Thanks for listening.❤

Mav if you take and warm up some water and pour the water into a couple of your water bottles that you designed and sell!! Take a couple of them and put inside your sleeping bag and make sure that they are sealed up really good so that they won’t leak and leave them inside your sleeping bag all night long and the warmth of the water will help to heat your sleeping bag up and help keep you plenty warm all night long for sure!!! You can do as many water bottles as you want but I usually will only use like two to three and they will keep me plenty warm all night long while asleep!!!
