I remember during my driving test when the instructor directed me to a secluded mansion and had to solve a whodunit murder. It turned out to be the groundskeeper, but unfortunately I had already failed the test because 5 hours earlier I hadn't check my mirrors properly when doing a 3-point turn. Luckily on my re-try I just had to deal with a zombie outbreak on a small fishing town
Hey loser, now take the actual test, its not hard but you were so busy putting down what you don't know I doubt you learned enough to pass the test. You might have even learned that you don't need a license in NH for a small outboard. The Rok Kandi the course spoke of is actually a reference to the Kandi Won that capsized in New York in 2012 and killed 3 children. The scenario they described is almost word for word to some of the articles I found about the whole thing. I guess that was the real life situations they were mentioning. Mia and Alexis are suspicious of some of the other people you meet including Cletus (that Jon didn't show) and whoever you choose turns out to be working with him because when Troy and Julian investigate the island they see someone else working with Willard but they can't see their face. Also they're not mutants, they're robots. The whole "mutant" thing was just a front to scare people away.

Being a native New Hampshirite and watching jontron is like reading the lore before playing an rpg
I get this was exaggerated for the sake of comedy, but even then, HOW THE HELL IS THIS A CERTIFIED COURSE?!?!?!?!?
I mean, the concept that you even need to have a licence to steer a small boat with a motor on a lake for an afternoon is pretty ridiculous. It is not like a plain where it is a life or death scenario, or a car where there are a whole bunch of rules. I mean bigger vessels, or faster ones could need a licence, sure. However, the thought that I may even need to actually get training in something like this is a joke. Certified so the state government can make more profit selling licences... That's my guess.

Mushroom King I recently got my my boating license for Missouri and it is needed if where you going anywhere with other boats. There are a good amount of rules and good things to know. Docking is a big problem with wind and current. Knowing when to move for other boats and when you stay on course. It is also good to know the signals and signs. The license does give you a lot of help that is definitely needed for safety of everyone else on the water.
EDIT: for the small boats for the afternoon I can see it is weird and most likely not needed. A better solution would be a 5 minute “tutorial” for the boat would be enough

At the vocational school where I studied environmental care (before I turned my programming hobby into a career), we had a boating course. Above all, it was a fun time, but also really useful. Driving a boat is mostly quite easy, but there are certain skills that are really important to pick up, especially if you're boating in an archipelago like we were. Honestly, parking the boat in a small spot was the hardest part. But all that just requires experience. We didn't have or need any licenses. Anyone can just hop on a boat and drive it.

Just got mine today! It's the same thing but now there is an app so you can play it on your phone too. Although it has the whole Scooby Doo Mystery thing there are other parts you have to read that explain stuff like life jackets requirements, equipment needed and stuff, It's actually not a bad course 😂, but it's still one of the easiest licenses I've ever gotten.

The water was very cold and they capsized in the extremely rough conditions (70 mph winds and 6 foot waves). The group was in the 53 degree water for at least 3 hours while rescuers searched for them. It shook the whole state of Utah.

i have a boating license in florida, and while I feel like the course I took was a lot more qualified and actually based on boating safety, and not wild mutant hornets, I still feel like I have no idea how to actually safely drive a boat. Like, I have a NASBLA license that literally never expires, yet I have no idea how to drive a boat. If I got on the water right now, there would probably be multiple wives and twins drowning.
Most people with driving licenses don't know know how to drive, so it's fine.

I got a boating license, you don’t actually have to *drive* a boat to get your license, just answer questions. (Wisconsin) Also, you can get your license at 12 years old
it's not hard at all. I used to drive one at 10 years old, needed no real trianing.
I take this test once a year to enjoy the riveting story. If Jon paid attention he would of known that they took the mask off the swarm of mutant wasps and underneath was Mr. Willard. So that explains the whole mutant wasps thing.
