My grandmother, half Cherokee half french was my favorite person in the world. She was a burlesque dancer in her youth and man oh man did she love her some Cher. She would always tell me that she saw herself in you and thought you had the most powerful, beautiful deep voice. Mind you, no one in my family could ever sing just dance. We would sing all your songs in her TV room, but this one was one of my favorites from our duets..... 15 years later, I've made it grandma. After years of training and tears, not understanding why I couldn't hit those really high notes..... Grandma, I did it, I can sing! Just hearing my low vocals fill the room to every corner brings tears to my eyes as I think of you. As a 60's kid I have had a big crush on Cher for a very long time. I stand no chance of ever doing anything about it, and I've never told my wife about it. But then again... Cher doesn't know anything about it either! Guess I'll just have to keep it my little secret... 😉
She seems timeless. I cease to doubt her talent. Cher is incredible, and a national treasure. She challenges us to not just be the best of a generation, but to be better than the next one too. I love a challenge, and that's what's missing in all of our lives. Semper Fi Girl.

I always come back to this just to feel the big amounts of positive energy they have. You can they were having a blast filming this, especially Winona Ryder. And Cher, what a timeless beauty. You can give her all the flack in the world for her cosmetic surgeries, but like Dolly Parton she still rocks it even in after her 60s.
She has always been able to belt out a song with a very distinctive manner of delivery. Have always enjoyed listening to her. She has some comedic chops too.
The thing about Cher is: She covers all the bases. She brings joy into her performances, she's clearly having fun, she commits to everything 1000% and... just look at her. How could you not like her? She isn't the best singer in the world, but it doesn't matter. She is vibrant and alive and it's catching. I would take Cher over about 80% of modern-day singers, because they're all running off at the mouth, trying to sing as many words as possible, and very few of their melodies are memorable. Cher will live on through the ages. She had that "thing" that most of today's talent does not have.

It was a world wide hit and deserved to be - it's pure pop music magic. Cher absolutely nailed it. First time I've seen this version and the video gets it just right. I've never seen the film so I have no idea who the two girls are - the the older one is great and the younger is absolutely superb.
Love their version of this song and the movie is great too. Cher never fails at talent, whether it's acting in comedies or dramas, and of course, that voice!

I always come back to this just to feel the big amounts of positive energy they have. You can they were having a blast filming this, especially Winona Ryder. And Cher, what a timeless beauty. You can give her all the flack in the world for her cosmetic surgeries, but like Dolly Parton she still rocks it even in after her 60s.

The thing about Cher is: She covers all the bases. She brings joy into her performances, she's clearly having fun, she commits to everything 1000% and... just look at her. How could you not like her?
She isn't the best singer in the world, but it doesn't matter. She is vibrant and alive and it's catching. I would take Cher over about 80% of modern-day singers, because they're all running off at the mouth, trying to sing as many words as possible, and very few of their melodies are memorable.
Cher will live on through the ages. She had that "thing" that most of today's talent does not have.

It was a world wide hit and deserved to be - it's pure pop music magic. Cher absolutely nailed it. First time I've seen this version and the video gets it just right. I've never seen the film so I have no idea who the two girls are - the the older one is great and the younger is absolutely superb.
