  • Hey guys! So in this video I'm replacing a fuel rail pressure sensor on a 2003 Ford Taurus 3.0l V6. It was throwing a P0193 DTC. So first we initially replaced the fuel filter thinking it could be clogged causing the pressure to be to high and the fuel pump was good. So we just replaced the sensor. Thanks for watching and hope the video helps. Don't forget to like and subscribe.

Quick tip for your viewers, never do this the way this guy did it in the video. Go to your fuel cap and take it off and wait for about 10-15 minutes this will minimize the amount of pressure when you remove the pressure sensor by a lot. This also helps when you're changing the fuel filter and fuel injectors. You can also pull the relay on the fuel pump and start the car a few times until it stalls, that is something I don't recommend as you can run an issue with plagued air in the system. Removing the fuel cap for 15 minutes is the perfect remedy

Simply removing the gas cap and letting the car sit there will relieve all the pressure in the fuel system?

I finally cleared that code by cleaning the mass airflow sensor, and the throttle body. I took out the fuel pump relay and put it back but that was not the issue. Nor tapping it. Cleaning cleared the code.

Thank you! I can change that myself! 💅🏿
What does it mean when it has pressure on it?
What type of oil did you use?
Did you buy new headlights? Or did you find a miracle cleaner? 😲

Before removing that pressure sensor always open up your gas tank gas cap for at least 10 to 15 minutes as it will release and relieve the pressure so your viewers don't get sprayed in the face.

Shit happened to me like 30 mins ago, sprayed in the eye with gas and had to run around the house to find the hose to rinse it, decided to look up a video to see if I should’ve bled the line or something

You can relieve the fuel pressure on the fuel line. It'll have a green cap and look like a valve stem

I wet the new one with a little residual gas. But it turns out to be a Fuel Pump. Bring it along to your mech or they will price gouge you. $50 pump now $250
