Justin i just wanted to say thank you so much for your advice! i watch your videos every time before my vocal recordings. Recently iv'e been losing confidence in my abilities and your "soulful reminder" in ep 68 helped remind me that i got this! Plz keep making more vids cuz ur the best vocal teacher on TH-cam in my opinion!
When you explain new exercises I can't wait to do them and they are always very useful, so I solved several difficult steps in some songs. Thank you Justin God bless you!
I do hope you continue this animal sounds series. I recently had a great conversation with vocal coach Carl Wehden who explained why these exercises can be so beneficial to singers young and old. I find your videos very motivational and just very well done. I am a fan!
Thank you Mr.Justin, i could barely hit C5 with my falsetto for like 0.5 mili second but now i can keep D5 falsetto note with ease and i can keep it as long as i want and this happened in 2 minutes of exercise. Thank you sir i think i can hit those crazy falsetto notes in the future hahah :D :D
You open the door for me; I've been diagnosed with L5-S1 descopathy, that means goodbye to line dance. My second passion since a little girl has surfaced i. e. singing. Even if I don't play any musical instrument nor read notes, I still sing. Thank you. I have never heard what falsetto, belting etc. till I watch your video. I'm still struggling with high notes and vibrato especially the former if it's out my range.
Great idea Aaron! It wouldn't provide the forward tongue placement, but yes it would be a great substitute! Here's a Lip Trill episode for those interested in Aaron's idea: Ep. 5 "What's The Point Of Lip Trills?" - Voice Lessons To The World. -NYVC
I am requesting that Justin's TH-cam series on VC should be put in the Library of Congress for heritage preseevation😇👌 awesome through and through. Speaking of which, why don't have Emmys for best TH-cam Contents??🙂
Hello dear Justin, Though you sing rarely, you are my favourite singer... I'd really like to see you singing more often; as I'm sure your other subscribers would like to listen to you more as well :) Apart from that I'd like to ask a question about my voice. I have a heavy voice. it is not like a baritone or bass, it is just heavy I used to sing with my chest voice and it was very hard to reach even C4-D4 And Now I have learnt "mixed voice" and able to hit (G4-Bb4) I am working every day on my voice... as you said I keep that passion always with me... I am not pushing my chest voice and trying to give the notes "Balanced" I also work on "Flageolet" to increase my voice's flexibility. But after A4 (Bb4-C5) even with proper technique, I can't mix it. I have found my mixed-(balanced) voice 2-4 months ago so maybe Am I just worrying too much? I wanna sing without any break at all. But I don't know how long does it take to get that balanced voice
What Vocal exercises can I do to relieve stress and strain on my voice after singing? I lose my falsetto after rehearsing for my school musical? How do I choose a proper warmup
Hello there! I am new to your channel...okay I guess I am new to commenting as I have watched quite a few of your videos already. I love what you are about. You make singing fun. I always feel good after watching one of your videos. Plus I feel that you explain things so well. It is kinda funny that you are talking about twang in this video...thus the duck quacks. I have a friend who teaches vocals and...we are going back and forth about the practicality or functionality of singing practice which includes making sounds. I think...that what you are teaching in this playful manner helps to improve ones singing. But...can you elaborate or...write out a small explanation making that connection. Okay let me put it this way...how does quacking like duck help us to sing better? :) Also...do you think that one can learn how to sing just by practicing their favorite songs? And do you incorporate singing songs into your lessons (sorry for asking...I assume that you do). Basically....why do you teach in this way?
Vocal coordinations can be very delicate and sensitive, and many of the muscles are internal and out of sight. Justin enjoys using his knowledge and creativity to find ways to help singers know how these coordinations feel when done correctly. :) Thanks for your support, Susan!
