Man, this video was definitely helpful. I'm an average-sized guy and I've defaulted to straight fit pants in the past. I always thought slim fit was for guys thinner than me, but...after seeing this video, I took a chance and ordered some slim fit chinos from Express. I was very impressed with the fit - DEFINITELY a better look than the straight fit. Thanks for the tip OG!
Being a short man (5'5), I wear slim fit pant with a tapered opening (7.5)and my brands are Good Fellow & Company, J. Crew, Bonobos, and the Banana Republic

I found a pretty good option - Original Penguin’s slim stretch chinos are soft, stretchy, high quality (made by Perry Ellis I believe) and I score 4 pair on their site for $100 on deep sale. Also like they do contrast strips inside for cuffing breaks and they make 33’s which fit really well for me.
I'm a slim guy and slim fit chinos are my go to especially my Ralph Lauren chinos.

Banana Republic's traveler slim fit chinos are the best on the market. I'm not feeling Target's Goodfellow and Company Chinos. The fabric is too stiff.

@@TheStyleOG Can you do a piece on Skechers Mark Nasan casual shoes. Enclosed are a few links from the site. I own a couple of pairs of these shoes and they're the best for Spring through early Fall. The Bryson and Shogun versions are 100% Machine washable and this saves $$$$. Please consider doing an episode on these commonly overlooked shoes.

I have got 4 pairs of chinos. Green, navy blue, grey and off white. Dont want to be wearing Jean at all time now. Jeff, remember I told you I have a date on past Saturday? We vibed good and we kissed for a very long time and set another meet on Thursday which is today. She sent a message saying she don't think we were match, no reply from my end fam since in the morning, ain't no woman gonna play a mind game with me fam.

Slim Fit Chinos - Aiden Summer Weight - Banana Republic Factory $24 and Aiden Stretch Chinos $32. I bought two to one of each to try out and then I got more colors of each type. When I took them to my tailor to hem, she commented that the fabric and construction are excellent. I love the way the Summer Weight fits and feels during these dog days in North Carolina.

I've tried target's chinos and they were tight on my thighs. I have big thighs so I had to return them. I'm also looking at bonobos' chinos but they cost a lot for one pair. I'm not sure if they will fit me as well as the ones I get from Amazon. I'm a muscular big man in his 20s in college from NJ btw.

Appreciate the fact that you mentioned relaxed fit chinos. I have a thick lower body from years of lifting. This new "athletic fit" term seems to be thrown around too loosely. When I hear the term athletic fit, I envision room in the seat and thighs not a fit that hugs your thighs and calves as if you have on running tights. So, I definitely prefer a relaxed fit that is not over relaxed if that makes any sense.
You don't know how many Gino that I had to return to get the proper fit, I found the slim fit, fits me the best and they look elegant,wish I had a video like this months ago, it would have saved me a lot of time and money, 👍

This was a great video. As a pretty thin guy its hard to find a good fitting pair. I broke down and got a sewing machine so now I get the closest fit and tailor the legs a bit.

If youre on the shorter side like me. You cant beat Uniqlo Chinos. They are high quality, low priced, great fit and the best part: FREE hem alteration! Peter Manning Chinos are also good, but are twice the price as Uniqlo and imo are about the same quality.

I feel like I’m in between sizes. I’m 45 5 11 and 208lbs 36w 30l. I’m alittle rounder in my belly then an average dude. But I’m definitely smaller than the dude in the “big guy” category pic in this video. I thought relaxed fit is what I wanted, but now I’m starting to question if the athletic fit would be best.

Hey Style OG....great video...I just left Target w/5 pair of chinos. Came out to $106. Slim fit works the best for me. But the Straight looks good as well. So from what they had left. 4 slim & 1 straight. Thanks again for the solid advice.

Just bought my first pairs of Chinos from Bonobos! Taking them to the tailor for a better fit around the ankle.
I’m 6’6” 365lbs with a 46 waist.
I do not own any chinos. I am not even sure wear to look for them. Thanks for the pointers even if I don't wear these. Keep the tips and advise coming good Sir!

I'm a big guy, I would have to go with a relaxed fit for chinos. As a suggestion, put pictures of big guys in the video so we can get an idea of how they would look on us. Even in big & tall clothing catalogues they still have small average size guys modelling the clothing.
As a big guy I can relate. It aint easy. Every time I search big and tall they show the tall guy. Never a big guy. One of the many reasons I return a lot of clothes.
The Amazon Essentials Skinny Fit are good, it’s more of a slim fit!

Great info O.G. After this vid; I purchased like 5 pair. Daniel Cremieux the Madison’s which are the relaxed version of their brand. I’m like 5’ 10 195lbs and always in the gym. The Slim and Tailored fits were too tight in the rear. The relaxed fit worked much better for me. Great vid and knowledge. Saaaaalute!!!

What’s the best way to prevent shrinkage ?
Even cold water wash and air dry causes shrinkage in $$$ chinos.
-Any suggestions on a better way to clean these?
-Any particular chino brands that are preshrunk?
I'm probably the skinniest guy you'll ever meet, but I still would always choose slim/tapered fit over skinny fit. All look okay on skinny guys, but skinny fit is always at least somewhat uncomfortable. Especially at the top of the leg/lower thigh, it's hard to find a skinny cut that doesn't make you feel like there's at least a little bit of circulation being cut off, at least if you are choosing the small waist size you should be getting as a very skinny guy. I've only recently found about tapered-fit jeans, and it has to be my favorite style of pants so far. No need to sacrifice comfort with how many options there are out there nowadays.

I'm a big guy and I find that slim straight chinos are a better for my body type, even better than athletic because I have smaller thighs. Excellent video💪
You didn’t mention classic fit for big guys
For me its got to be double pleated chinos. In fact double pleated for all my trousers, and a wide hem is preferred.
Straight fit works super well for me, only with pleats. Flatters my legs, and with a narrow waist makes me look thicc.
Something got a little free in those olive chinos... 😊
Bonobos is my favorite brand. My whole closet is Bonobos minus a couple of J Crew shirts

When you realazed that your body type is for slim body with a few from an athletic one, but you are a short man living in another country and the chinos that you found are not siezzed for you and take you to the tailor fit. Greets OG.

It’s actually be good to do an online shopping guide considering most shops are closed. Had issues getting wrong sizing, etc etc in the last few months lockdown. I’ll stay anonymous 😊

Since watching this channel for over a year all want to wear is chinos all flavors. I typically go to Old Navy however they don’t offer a lot of flavors I will try Target and Bonobos as well . What up OG!! Great vid as usual bro. I get my chinos from Old Navy. In my opinion they have one of the best selections. I go for the slim fit taper chinos with the flex so I can have a little extra room in the waist because my weight fluctuates. I have my standard colors, black, khaki, olive green, gray and navy blue then I have my bold statement color chinos which is like a light red. Every guy should have 1 bold statement color chino in his wardrobe. Keep the style vids coming bro.

Definitely slept on chinos until I started watching this channel. Before I started losing weight, they really didn't fit as well as they do now. I have thick thighs and always felt chinos were too tight in that area but now they fit perfect. I've rocked them to work with a dope button up and a pair of Steve Maddens & I've flipped them with a casual look with a solid tee and some Air max 1s.
