The galaxy is 600+m long, 400+m wide and almost 300m tall, but it can maneuver like an X-wing and make it look easy.

Seven would be a good candidate and example for them that there is life after assimmilation.
Like that voyager episode that found the cube with only borg children aboard, there was that one kid being the boss who just wanted to return to the collective because he did'nt know anything else. Imagine that but on a larger scale.
I will been fine either way, Borg are a great villian, I do think the Queen is done though! Also im not 100% sure but was that the Queens original physical form in season 3 , or her last botched attempted at making a new body because of Janeways pathogen? Asses line up for the privilege of being kicked by the Big D 😂
But seriously, always thought the D was out of place in the Enterprise lineage. Very radical design departure from the A,B,C, the C being a forced intermediate design.
Given the layout, shape and organic design of the D, it looks like it should be somewhere between the G and J (potential future Enterprise shown to Archer)
To me, the Ent E appears a descendant of the A, the F an evolution, the G returning to a neck and secondary hull with curves, leading to the curvaceous D

I think the Battle Bridge fell into disuse as Starfleet learned that it's generally not a good tactic to leave the saucer defenseless. In The Best of Both Worlds, as early as TNG Season 3-4, we hear Riker shoot down Shelby's saucer-sep proposal because he wants to keep the ship together to be able to use the saucer's impulse engines for reserve power. It could be that inertial dampening and static warp bubble technology has improved to make the mass of the ship not matter (pun intended), therefore maximum power is preferable to minimum size.

[sigh] A Galaxy-class starship is not an X-wing. This just demonstrates that the animators had no idea how this massive hunk of metal can and cannot move. I mean, in _Star Trek Online_ alone, have you ever tried to stop or turn one? It takes awhile, even with the proper consoles boosting Turn Rate and Speed, none of which Geordi would have thought to install into a museum piece. But then choosing the _D_ was ridiculous in the first place, given they're fighting the Borg, and _Voyager_ and _Defiant_ were both available too. Yes, the episode looks amazing, and is the best of _STP_ . But the rest of _STP_ set such a low bar, when you step back from the nostalgia, at least in my experience, you realize just how poorly all this was written and executed.
As much as it felt good to see the _D_ that I grew up with again, the plot is incredibly stupid, and should have been prevented by regular maintenance checks, and also by detecting the changes in Picard's DNA when they first rescued him as Locutus. Beverley herself even mentioned the changes then.

The Defiant and Voyager wouldn't of worked, since they're museum pieces, they potentially have no defense or offensive systems in them.
And this can be forgiven, considering she was blown up by a 75 year old BoP, that should've gotten its ass handed to it with no real effort. If anything, this is making up for that absolute stupidity from Generations, just to make way for a ship they felt would look better on the big screen.

While I agree the animators had no idea how big the D is, this kind of maneuvering is possible for Trek ships.
With all their inertia dampening technologies and other treknobabble, it is possible to have Trek ships behave like star fighters and it's been done before.
Not to this extent, but Trek ships can run circles around SW ships any day of the week and leave them in the dust in real space.
Even SW fighters would have a hard time catching up to a Trek ship that doesn't want to be caught.

There are ways to get a Galaxy Class moving and fighting like this in STO. Trust me I know
