Although I can start my swing with hands matching spine on takeaway, I never can achieve same position at P6 which I think is because of my strong left hand grip position. At P6, my toe is always up, just have to live with it, not willing to change my grip to more neutral though, thanks for video!
Yeah, it's not the end of the world getting to that position. It's far better than it being wide open. And also, yes, if you can avoid changing the grip, that's a bonus. Try and experiment a little bit with some bowing of the lead wrist in the downswing. That would close the face. I have a few videos on my channel, one called Shift, Drop, and Bow, and the bow element might really help you out get that club face. But again, don't panic too much. There's something to try.
Great information and sound fundamentals. What a difference in teaching locations. I uploaded a video I filmed this morning at 8:30 am. I was dripping in sweat and you are wearing a jacket, hahaha!
My concern/issues seem to be from when the club head passes the right foot ( r handed player) to when it passes the left foot. I could use some slow-mos of that area showing the the rotation and positions of the lead arm. I can't seem to hit my 7 iron more that 125 yards..telling me I am not doing something right :( I am a slicer of the driver as well so I think my rotation in that area of r-foot to l-foot is wrong.
Hey, thanks so much for the comment. Okay, it's kind of hard to know without seeing your golf swing, but I do see this quite a lot. So you're a slicer of the driver and the irons aren't going as far as you feel they should. This is a classic example of the club, as you said, moving from the right foot to the left foot. In that little window, the club will be traveling left of target with a face that is open. As you get a longer club like a driver with less loft, the slice will become more prominent and distance will suffer. Again, I'm just surmising a little because I haven't seen your golf swing. It's very likely that this is the case. It goes unnoticed a lot with more lofted clubs. You might even have a tendency to pull those to the left. But if you want to gain more distance, I'd definitely be working on swinging more from the inside with that club face much stronger and by that I mean much more closed. This drill in this video should help with the club face issue.
Great video as always, I also have to admit the GX Gloves are fantastic, great quaility and they are a great fit.
Thank you 🙏 yes no doubt the gloves are amazing. Mine seem to last for a long time also, which is great

Appreciate it Bris. lol I know we got a lovely warm couple of days and then today was quite cold. I need to move back to a better climate 😭
Thanks David. A very useful drill.
You’re welcome Graeme I hope you are well ⛳️
