      Hey Bryson,
Can you do a full video on how to hit the ball and then the turf after, I know a lot of that video consisted of that whilst chipping, but it would be good to see some more drills and tips on how to do this when doing a full swing.
      Thanks, love the videos!

      1. More details please, on release, on wrist movements, the feels/checkpoints of a good setup including the rest of the body, and no need to rush it.
      2. Take a page from Rick Shiels book and just keep churning out swing tips with a hook we can all relate to "how to stop slicing", "course management" etc. And just do them again a year later with a better mic and post-production. It works and I'd watch it.

This is literally the most helpful video I've watched. I've tried explaining to an instructor for years how uncomfortable I always feel holding a club. I've never seen someone say rotate upper left arm all the way. As soon as I did it, I felt completely comfortable holding the club and swinging. Thanks for your dedication to fans.

Bryson, from a guy who has been taking his golf swing seriously since 1975 I want to thank you for all the videos you have been posting. Not only have you been giving great information to all the golfers in the world who want to improve their swings (and yes, that includes me.), you have also been giving an outlet for the stress of worrying about our world where Covid has been harming so many people. Your videos are a tremendous help to people in many ways. Not only are they giving help to golfers to improve their swing, but also in way too keep people sane in a time of great crisis by just being able to view them in a safe environment, like their homes. It is beyond cathartic voyeurism, It actually brings hope for a day when we can use your teaching to improve our game when it if fully safe to do so. Thank you for your generosity with your videos and on a personal note, this old duffer is now a big fan of you.

    • @chipandputt
      @chipandputt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +19

@@nicholastheos3022 it didn't ... although at first I was trying to go to the limits of the range of motion, which was super awkward. I dialed it back a bit, treated it more like a bit of error mitigation rather than a full end-stop limit like he described. Oddly enough, what the minor adjustment did was get my upper arms to get a bit more "connected" to my torso, which has cut my dispersion down significantly, especially with wedges .. down to a 5.8 index.

To take a divot in front of the ball it is all in the hips.
Get that right hip backaway from the ball.
Then keep it there and start the down swing and clear that left hip back keeping the right hip back.
This will move your lower body toward the target 3-4 inches.
I did this last week after hitting it fat for a decade.

Within a year, i am playing CONSISTENT scratch golf and love playing golf more than ever. One thing I noticed today is for my driver (and pretty much all the clubs) the faster you pull back your backswing, the better and stronger your downswing and contact with the ball is. That's what I noticed anyway. Thanks for making me love playing golf again, you're the man!

Felt really weird holding a club and thinking about internal and external rotation of shoulders and hands but once I got comfortable with the setup it started working. Biggest swing thought for me on the downswing that worked is pushing my right palm forward and in front down the line it’s really helped me rotate my hips and chest correctly! Thanks so much for the swing insights brother!

The best tips I've gotten in any youtube video! Also the fully rotate your arm inward then your wrist out on your straight arm is a game changer for keeping the arm straighter the while time.

What an amazing golf channel! Thank you, Bryson, your lesson has given me tips that actually work. I saw results immediately. The drill at the bunker is a game changer for me. Try it lads, its pretty amazing.

No other elite pros are putting out this sort of content off their own backs. I love this Bryson, the way you say what feels comfortable and repeatable to you is refreshing, for so long people having been touting the perfect golf swing, but we’re not all perfect or as athletic as professionals! Great work 👍🏻

The point about when to straighten the arm was my epiphany!! I have never seen this tip given in any of instructional videos I’ve watched. Excellent straightforward advice for the average golfer like me. Can’t wait to try it!! Thank you Sir!

I’ve been practicing this method for the last couple of weeks and took it to the course today. I was shooting my best golf ever. The only fairways I missed were just barely off the fairway. I hit most of the greens or was very close if I missed it. I still need to work to make it feel more comfortable but when I trust it even when it isn’t comfortable it yields amazing results. I’m a Bryson fan and sold on this method.

This is great video and super easy to follow and implement. Too many TH-cam golfers say "do this little thing and it will fix your swing before absolutely launching a ball that is no help to amateurs". Love your work.

Watching these video's over in the Netherlands and loving them. Really love these insights from a guy who REALLY knows what he's talking about because a lot of how he swings he figured out by himself! As an engineer i can very much relate to how you approach the technical side of the golf swing!

Watching you in the US Open right now 🔥🫡 I started shanking and thinning my irons hard today out of nowhere. Couldn’t get anything over 80 yards. Watched this video and my first 7 iron shot was 180 yards. It was the shoulders and arms in/out setup that fixed everything for me. Both my shoulders started randomly turned in recently, not sure why… but that quick tidbit got me striking clean again

I liked that he kept things simple and focused on the dynamic aspects of the swing rather than getting hung up on positions. I would have liked to hear why he picked the Moe Norman style setup, which is what I’ve been using. It’s the impact setup that Kirk Junge teaches. Bryson has done lots for golf.

I have been your fan for many years and was very happy that you pulled off your 2nd US Open last week! You deserved it because you bring so much to the game (golf science and engineering) and you inspire so many people to be interested in the game. Thanks, Bryson!

Great explanation on the relative arm positions. I always thought I had a good grip, but now I know that it is no good if it is not locking in the right arms positions. After I watched your video I realised my left was neutral-internal and my right was internal-neutral. No matter what grip change I tried I could not eliminate my push fade. So, thanks very much for sharing this aspect of your golfing knowledge. Definitely interesting and far from boring. More pros should share things that they are working on. Not just in golf but in all sports. To my mind the modern media is too focussed on the theatre aspect of sports. You tube is great way to sidestep this dumbed down outlook. So thanks again for your generosity in using it to share these helpful technical details.

    Hey Bryson,
I first watched this video a couple months back and it's the first time I've heard a golf lesson mention that internal bicep/external forearm setup... For me that one tip has totally revolutionised my swing!
Previously my driving distance was circa 230 yards, but since I've been using your setup I average 270 and even hit a 290 yesterday on the course... that's further than I even imagined was possible for me!
    Thank you so much!

I only wish I had found this video years ago. The man is a genius. I had never even thought of rotating my left shoulder inwards and wrist out. The difference just this one subtle difference makes in terms of ball contact and distance is incredible. Now hitting my irons 30 yards further and with a sweet contact most of the time. Thankyou so much Bryson 👌

I love that there's a part 2 coming, but also that there part 1 keeps it clean and simple. There are still some details (do's and dont's) I'd like to hear about for the trail arm (Single Plane, supposedly), the feels and timing around release ("straightening"), how to get a feel for consistent spine angle and other range of motion "controllers", stuff like that. Oh yeah, and I'll be looking forward to that new mic! If you did like swing tip of the month, I'd be watching all of them.
