Hi Steve, thanks for the new tip. Just a caution to people watching, even though the right wrist angles are intended at impact, they are not actually held past impact, as you can see on your swing if paused just after the ball is hit. I only mentioned this as I had a lot of issues trying to hold onto angles, rather than letting the clubhead release to a point where the butt of the club handle points back at your belt buckle about 3 feet after the ball, and all the angles are gone. You can easily end up dragging the handle otherwise and losing speed etc. Not sure if this needed mentioning too?

Can't produce speed out in front without releasing. Well spotted.

I dont think it is physically possible to hold onto those angles, i do just this, hold the angle hard, and the club releases perfectly. Now, i still struggle with distance with my long irons tho, but my pw goes 140-150m.. but so do my 9 8 and 7 iron😂 but yeah, i feel like my hands release through impact, but i am trying to still hold the angle. I yhink that is what creates lag, and not alowing the wrists to open too soon.

OMG. I've been working on this for 1.5 yrs. Today was the 1st time I saw this video. I generally only hit a handful of greens for 18 holes. Today I hit 9. But even the miss-hits were down the target line. I can work with that.

Thank you for this video. I've been using the Eureka swing off and on for a couple of years and have been fighting inconsistency for too long. I watched this video 4 times today (July 7/24) and went out to my practice mat and net and started to practice what you talked about in the video. I have a 10" circle paintred on my net (12' away) and I started hitting balls . I was stunned by the results. I hit the painted target 7 times in a row with my 8i and I had to stop and think about why this happened. I also grabbed a #5 hybrid and had similar results. The hits were all (for me) mostly clean and felt very powerful. I'm 83 y/o and will be playing in two days and I can't wait to try this on the course. Thank you, thank you.

Hi Steve, please do a follow-up video showing how the right arm shortens in the back swing and lengthens on the down swing to just after impact when both arms are straight and then in full swings swivels to the finish, you have a wonderful way of simplifying the golfing machine, thank you 👍🏼

THAT is the best setup and swing instruction I have seen anywhere. I am old now but still hit the ball ok. Distance is a problem nowadays . Straight not so much trouble. This though I can see a possible distance improver straight away. NOW can I do it.? of course I can. All I have to do is follow this instruction. thumbed up.

Took this to the course and was amazed at how well it worked (15+ handicap). I struggle with getting my right shoulder low during the downswing and this forces me to do it. Contact/compression was greatly improved. It definitely challenges your range of motion (64 years young), so I was thankful I did a lot of stretching before going out. I plan to keep doing it as long as my body will allow. Thanks.

Steve, after watching this, I tried holding this trail wrist angle for longer during an actual round yesterday. Yes I had a few bad results but the good ones were out of the sweet spot. For years I’ve missed the green left and I now think the reason has been flipping at impact.
Most amateurs, including me up to now, have (wrongly) tried to square the club face by wrist manipulation whereas the wrists have no need to move at all, it’s rotation that squares it.
So as you correctly say, getting your turn is essential - probably made easier with your Eureka setup. Excellent Vid !

Steve. Love the latest batch of swing ideas and your deep dive into the classic literature for inspiration from a teaching professional viewpoint. Lol, Homer Kelly's book is like the golf equivalent of Necronomicon Ex-Mortis from the Evil Dead movie, there is good info in there but you can definitely summons demons of you read too much and get careless. :)
Thanks Steve, your helping me with my transformation, i'm 50 now and i'm looking to remove as many moving parts and opportunities to insert errors as possible, so i'm trying to make my swing efficient and compact, I've read Five Lessons by Ben Hogan, but driver and fairway woods off a tee are still problematic, not fairway woods off the deck though so its not all bad.
I've not lost any distance on my stock shots, which is great, but adopting a Hogan-ish swing does mean that i can't go for that over-swing like i used to and reach for that extra 10 yards when i want it, half of the transformation is the discipline, and thats all between my ears.
