ASSETTO CORSA EVO JUST DROPPED ON STEAM

- Assetto Corsa EVO has just been launched on steam, with new teaser images, and even a confirmed car list - there’s a lot to dive into.
The first thing you’ll see is some very nice looking pictures of an alfa Romeo. I mean just look at those reflections! There’s also highly modelled interiors, and even engine bays. If the actual game looks anything like the screenshots, it may be the best looking racing game ever.
Also included is some screenshots of tracks, featuring night time and wet weather, neaither of which was possible in assetto corsa 1 without mods. The tracks shown include Brands Hatch, Imola and of course the nordschleife. And the fidelity of them look insane. Just look at that tarmac detail.
The complete car list is also looking promising, featuring the likes of Hyundai with the i20N and NVision which will be a blast to drive. Also confirmed are the usual suspects, such as Mercedes Benz with the 190E, Porsche with a couple 911s, Lamborghini with the Huracan and even Alpine with the A110 and awesome looking A290. And that’s all you need to know about
I can't wait, I hope the modding community will be as massive as on the first one.

if kunos doesn't allow mods in it I'll be extremely sad

It's their own engine and they know the implications of what they need to do. One of the directors has had interviews about it before they're interesting.
Ofcourse they will, their whole game is built on that
if they dont they will lose out on alot of players who dont even touch any of the track stuff, unless they add nice drift, touge and rally maps in the vanilla version along with the cars. Its a no brainer imo.

I'm personally scared I won't be able to run it on my PC.
Minimum requirements are pretty tough, my PC only just clears it. Will need an upgrade for sure 💀

impossible to say how demanding the game will REALLY be at this stage of developtment. it could go both ways, either even worse or a bit better. this target of specs does tell us tho that evo will be a next gen only game and for that its fair to say youll need a pc on par with current consoles.
Then wait until you can and get even more content? Fomo is dumb 😄 for example I'm waiting for PS6 to play Gran Turismo 7 because PS5 is just not worth it. By that time I will get the complete game with all content + PSVR2 for less than half the price. And by the time I build a PC assetto corsa evo will be huge hopefully 😊 it also makes the game more future proof if it is really demanding in the beginning. Happy racing 🏁

With the integration of the new FMOD possibly from ACC im excited to see how they would tackle the limits that was not possible in AC

While Forza on Xbox and Gran Turismo on Playstation had their own ups and downs, I hope Assetto Corsa as the equivalent of those two could racked up significantly

We already had GT graphically wise, but this looks excellent compared to their last game. Super excited to see how it works out in the future.
I really hope this means the 1:1 Singapore Project for that Horizon Life is working on for AC, can get ported to this ACE.
It would be great if this Corsa Evo asset had crossplay with consoles since in my opinion there is no reason not to have it.

That’s what’s modding is for this was never available with the base game loads of people are confused about that and have bought the game just because of no hesi even on console

They don't have a full car list. The clip at the beginning is not real footage. It has not been launched on steam, its store page live and it will come out sometime this year. You claimed theres a list, then go on to mention only the cars they have teaser photos for.
It’s going to be many years before hardcore sim racers run AC Evo. They’re showing off all the visuals, all the incredible detail, all the stuff a 4090 can’t handle on triple screens or VR. It hints they may be focusing on the wrong things.

ACC is on unreal engine which is terrible for racing games, AC Evo will run on kunos own engine
