Honestly, over the past 5 years it's felt like Riot has been trying to find new playerbases with these new projects, but at the same time they're axing their existing playerbase. They should have just sent it on the project despite seeing failures from other studios. The issue with Multiversus and Nick All stars was the physics imo. I think if any studio were to get the move/frame cancelling shtick down it would have been Rito.
I disagree (at least for multiversus) The game was live service and no couch play. making it compete with all other online multiplayer games. ive never played nicm all stars brawl so i cant comment on that
