God forbid you drop it, that's my only complaint. I dropped mines and it would not open, then it got a black line across the crease. Luckily I had, have insurance so it's covered but if you know you drop your phone often, either don't go with this one or get one with the ring/bracelet. My carrier is t-mobile and when I bought it in they were not shocked as the first thing she said when I told her what happened was "we got another one" the girl the checked me out coming over and saying "really that's the 3rd/4th one today." These phones are not ment to be dropped, even if you go the extra mile to get the hinge protection cases. Just putting this out there, over all I absolutely love this idea!
, , Yo, I dropped my flip three about eight times so far and nothing happened. I have a good case though. You absolutely have to have a case. You could open the phone so much easier. And doesn't feel like a bar or soap.
Love this thing! Been an iphone user since the 3g and this is only my second android phone (nexus one). Android has come a longgggg way and one ui is pretty good. But the flip 4 itself although not perfect seems sturdy (was my biggest worry) and the battery life gets me through the day no problem. Was tired of massive slab phone taking up almost my entire thigh. This thing is great and the camera through not as good as iPhone, is pretty good and the tripod filming this thing can do has given me some awesome family shots so far that I had trouble with in the past. Good phone!
I had a zflip 4 and it was going really good until I dropped it hit even high were talking below my waist and I'm not that tall but somehow landing on the side of the case killed my screen
i love this as well, i was worried because it reminded me of the weakness of the nintendo DS, the hindge. mine broke early on, but still worked. HOWEVER, it reminds me more of the Gameboy Advance SP, the small durable one, that was awesome. That's how i'd metaphorically review and feel about it. Also pleased with the performance, i was surprised. The camera don't bother me, i had an s10 before, and what i have now is just as good, if not a bit better. i'm not a pro instagrammer or anything idc. I am worried about dropping it in dirt. I already dropped it once, in the parking lot, when it was opened, glass side down. NOT A SINGLE MARK. this glass is good! I have small hands, so there are some issues with trying to operate it with one hand, but opening it one hand, is no problem. I think the ring i have hooked with the protector in the back helps with grip with one hand doing that. but i work in a barn area, with a lot of sand and dirt, etc. so i worry.
Hoping the next version will be even wider cause its just too slim for me. Also personnaly since Im a S22U user, I need at least one optical zoom lense.
I am now backtracking my phrase for this phone. It is cool when it works BUT after 4 months, I dropped it at a weird angle and now the screen is dead. I had a good case and it did NOT protect it from a 3 foot fall and slide. The screen flickered, then died and now I can't use the screen at all
Well. Its good, but bad. Let me explain. I got my flip 4 like 2 weeks ago. I play league almost every day in pc. I tried the wild rift for the firts time, it runs well on the phone, but the heat is still a problem. I almost played 2 hours straight, and didint got thermal throttle, but the phone it self was very hot. In other game, like genshin, well i got the throttle..
Have one , luv it. 30 days in the screen failed across the fold. Samsung Care center repaired while I waited. Hoping this was a rare failure. I put off buying a flagship phone fir a few years and opted for cheap Pixel. It got me by but this phone spoke to me and I splurged. We'll see how it goes.
For God's sake folks stop dropping your phones! Lmao 🤣 Anyways I'm going from Note 20 Ultra to this because I'm tired of carrying around a brick everywhere when I absolutely don't need it
Also, it has no DeX support and is only USB-C 2.0, so slow transfers. These are unlikely to be the main concerns for those buying the Flip4, so they are not deal-breakers. The price is the main issue. It should be no more than $650, and if you get it for that or a crazy $100 cost to upgrade from the Flip3, then if you are still a believer in flip phones, I have no issues. Do not buy for $1000, as that is a rip-off.
I agree. Although there was no reason for the phone to not have DeX support. And yes, these folding phones are WAY too expensive. For the price, a non folding phone will likely be better bang for the buck.
The price is not the main issue here as these devices sell like hotcakes far more than the fold. It actually even swayed many long-term iPhone users to switch sides. Lowering the price to create a FE/lite lineup should be done to lower the entry barrier for more consumers to increase their foldable market share not because the current sticker price doesn't sell and Samsung knows it. The main advantage of these devices is their compact form factor without sacrificing horsepower. To be fair, Samsung actually lowers the price tag since the flip3 so users who tend to prefer flagships can now have another alternative option. Maybe not as low as many expected due to the high production costs to manufacture these displays but it will drop once the tech matures. Not to mention Samsung devices tend to depreciate really fast months after launch so you can usually get a better deal if you're patient enough. Dex was not added due to thermal constraints in a small and compact device. But I do agree that USB 2.0 sucks though. Please don't assume that everything that is missing in the tried and true form factor should be a con for foldables. The main target audience is totally different and clearly, you're not one of them.
@@revolee993 They do not sell like hotcakes. The main reason they sell well is Samsung giving massive trade-ins to fake sales. Actually true about the Volume Rocker. Samsung should utilize the left Side of the Phone, and Put Volume Rocker under the sim tray instead

What were you playing @3:52? :D
Coming from S20 Exynos, couldn't be more happier on my Flip4. Not really a power user so no more battery anxiety. I agree the camera could be better.
I wonder how the Z flip 4 fares for gaming. My Z Flip 3 gets hot and seems to thermal throttle while playing Wild Rift.

my z flip3 went caput on the very first day of using the phone
so far my z flip4 is doing good. hope you will be able to get your phone fixed ASAP
Good Video 💯😎
What game is that at 3:44?
The hinge is weaker than the flip 3. Don't buy it. It won't survive a drop from 40 cm.
U can only like this if ur getting the flip 4 after the 5 came out
