As someone who is a tech enthusiast and buys the top of the line phones from Apple, Samsung, Google and whoever else, I can honestly say this is my FAVORITE phone. I've had it since launch and honestly, there's no comparison to any other phone I own! I like that it is small and adorably customized, easy to use and carry, and most importantly, IT WORKS! I never have issues with connectivity, battery life or anything else. Every time they update and upgrade the Flip, I will be there! 😃
Hello, how are the results of the ZFlip 4, for example, in photos of the moon? since it has been seen that samsung smartphones are known for their ability to photograph the moon and all its details...does this happen with the ZFlip 4?
@@andreiamontijo6148 This phone does not have the best camera on the market. It takes a decent picture but it's nothing like the S 22 Ultra, Google Pixel or an iPhone. It's a very modest camera that will get the shot. However, I don't think the zoom for moon shots is what this phone is for.

2 months in with mine and I still love it. Such a nice fresh take on a smartphone. I'm old enough to say I owned a Motorola startac so I'm all in with a foldable after all these yrs. Can't keep track of how many people have wowed at it either! It's a head turner.
I pre ordered mine because I wanted it, it just looked right. And in my hands it just feels right. And using it for the past few months, I've had 0 regrets ever at all. This phone is a joy to use.
I was surprised that I found myself using it fold more than fully straightening it. Like when I use my iPad to draw, already open another tab, and then I open Pinterest with my fold. It’s easier to see in the fold, so I have two screens to look at. Eating while reading webtoon is much easier folded, take a picture on the surface. Etc. I still use fold 3 btw for 10 months now and used to fold phone, can’t imagine switching back to non fold.
@@plastic_cleopatra It's fun to scroll webtoons with flip when I use my iPad for work. I read the top of the screen and it won't split into two screens/ if you prefer to have a split screen the phone can too. You can change which app will split/ not in the setting.
I appreciate you mentioning how space efficient OneUI5 is. I was in the beta test and there were a lot of people who wanted that awful pixel redesign but thankfully cooler heads prevailed. I really like how well thought out Samsung's use of space is and the consistent appearance of OneUI5 has become an increasingly clear benefit as I've been playing tech support for my family more and more over the years and it is so nice to be able to upgrade a phone and not have to explain a new UI to them.
The Samsung Z Flip 4 is the company's most advanced phone to date. Every company, in my opinion, will produce a phone with a back cover panel display by 2030. It promises to be both beautiful and satisfying. I prefer the Z Flip 4 to the Fold phones. 🔥🔥🔥♥️
I had intended to buy the Fold 4 when it was rumored to have internal storage of the S Pen. When that turned out to be false, I decided to buy the Flip 4. While I wish the coverscreen was as large as the Razor, I am happy with it. There is something satisfying about carrying something so small in my pocket that opens to a reasonably large phone.

I agree with your long term review. I came from iPhone 12 pro max and have been switching phones for my entire life and I don't mind trying things out. It's fun. I changed to flip 4 becoz I grew tired of iPhone design. It's been pretty much the same for the last... I dunno how many years! I gave this a shot in late August and I'm still loving it. ❤️ the crease is visible if I pay attention to it, but it's fine. The camer, OK, I know it's a lot of people's concern, but it really does it job. Overall my experience with this phone is awesome and I look forward to next year's foldable. 😀
I absolutely love this form factor. But I'm holding off getting one for a few years, when my S22 Plus starts reaching the end of its useful life. By that time, I hope the camera is on par, and the front screen is more useful. And of course, that it's still in existence, some people think it's just a gimmick.
I'm still using the Flip 3 as my daily and between the fast updates and the durability, I can say its been just like a regular slab phone except the benefits of being able to fold it and all its advantages with software!
My favorite things about phones was when they first started getting creative with sidekicks and and the LG’s with the QWERTY keyboards , then I remember when the droid came out it kinda started my fascination with the slab shaped phone , and it was exciting to me at the time , I’m sure the iPhones were already started but the droid line up of phones were what started my love for the standard kinda phone now , creativity went out of the window with these phones though . These new flip and folds are giving me the same excitement I got when I was younger. People should expect more from phones at this point tbh the money circle jerk apple does every year is unacceptable lol

I wanna a get a Flip. But I feel like I should wait another year or two while they get better. Like dust resistance, better camera, bigger outer screen with more functionalilty.
The dust resistance is indeed something im constantly aware of and trying to keep it clean as I'm paranoid. I also use a phone until the battery goes, usually 3-4 years so i gotta make it last lol

This phone is a novelty and best at that. This phone gets returned the most at the mobile store I work at. Had bad issues with over heating and screen’s already peeling and after the return windows. Tech is not there yet and for $200 less you can get an S22 that has a better camera, small and compact, and battery life is way better.
Two months in and I absolutely love this phone! I'm still learning all of the many things that can be customised, and I'm slowly getting there. The fact that it folds securely to fit in my pocket is for me wonderful, I'm one of the very few women who never use a handbag. The camera I've found to be very good, ok it's not going to compete with my large high range Sony camera, but then I don't often now carry that about with me, my phone is always with me so I never miss those great shots. So on all levels I'm delighted with my Z Flip 4 and I will never go back to the outdated idea of conventional phones.
Been an iphone user all my smartphone life and i switched to this flip and aside from some annoyances with the android software, this phone has been a dream to use and i havent regretted it once
I've had mine for about a month and it's by far my favorite phone I've ever owned. As a woman, our pockets are small, but my phone fits perfectly. I also appreciate that if I'm wearing leggings that don't have pockets, I can fold the phone over the top of my pants to still have some place to put it. I also love leaving my phone folded and watching videos on it, or creating them while out in public. I don't have to worry about somewhere to set it up because it stands up on its own fine. Also, the fold prevents me from opening it too many times in a day, so overall I'm picking it up a lot less. I switched over from iphone, and I was reluctant, but I've been so happy with this phone.

I had the fold 3 and missed my traditional slab the entire time. Played with the flip 4 for a little while as well and I still can't get over the weird aspect ratio. Using my S22 ultra and I've never been happier. 😎 Def see how some would like something like this. Just not for me though.
@M W Kinda felt the same way with my fold. I've always taken really good care of my devices but I felt like I had to handle it with kid gloves. Especially when hiking and whatnot.
Absolutely no complains with my flip 4 except samsung not allowing flashlight to be turned on below 5 % battery but thats more of a one UI issue than the phones limitation. The battery is surprisingly good too!
The battery is surprisingly sub par. It's only surprisingly good if you put it into power saver mode and don't flip the phone open and just use the external screen. LOL!!!

Watch 4 always connected with 4g, bt, location always on. 2 hrs of bg video playback and 4 hrs plus of screen on time and still ending the day with some battery life left. Camera usage as well. All of this with protective battery on (charging only till 85 percent)
Had mine since launch and it has exceeded expectations. I find the cover screen quite useful, and also using the phone in flex mode. Very innovative phone. I just wish it had a telephoto lens but the normal and ultra wide photos are good.
Samsung almost got me with this one. Was going to use it has a 2nd phone with my 22 Ultra. Then I played with a Fold 3 for the first time and fell in love so I traded the 22 for a Fold 4. I could not be happier with my decision.
If they put in flagship cameras, better battery technology, and bigger outer display, I would get one for sure. But if I had to choose, flagship camera is necessary.
I'm a proud and happy owner of the Flip4 (my first Flip) and I actually DO use the "camcorder" hold method of recording video as I find it a much easier way to grip & hold the device, especially for more than a minute (like at a concert). I also feel you're not doing much justice to the outer screen. While you are correct, it seems the potential has not been fully developed (I even bought a 3rd party app which enabled ALL apps to work on that screen - only to find the space is too small for most apps) I use that screen all of the time to check weather, my daily alarm and of course a major benefit of deciding whether or not to engage via the notifications that appear. Finally, I've found other uses of the folding so reliable and important (like an instant tripod for self-timer shots, or even just having the folded phone sit upright on a desk displaying both the time & notification alters). I haven't been this excited about a phone in so long - and I appreciate your praise of it.
My wife doesn't like big phones. I think it has something to do with lady pockets. Anyway, this year I traded in her S21 for the Flip 4, and she loves it!
I want Google Pixel to make a Google Pixel Flip. The quality of the photos on my Pixel 6 Pro is the only reason I'm sticking with the Pixel. If Google made a Pixel Flip I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I got an insane $510 trade in for old A50 at Spectrum so I got it. Hadn't even thought about flip phone but with everything getting larger, less one hand use friendly I think this is going to work out just right for my need. I had upgraded from Pixel 5 to 7 but will be giving that away to family.
I'm definitely sold, it's just not a good time to upgrade for me, I just upgraded and I'm not super interested in always having the newest things so I'll be getting the flip 5
When I got the Fold 2 and it lasted for a year, my sister took the plunge as well and picked up the Flip 3. A year later, she had already switched to the Fold. I'm currently on the Fold 4 and she's on the Fold 3. She'll probably upgrade on the 5 and I'll probably upgrade on the 6. We're the only Android enthusiasts in the family, though. Even when we were in high school, we both traded off on Note upgrades and the earlier S models.
I really want to switch over but i am an apple consumer, so all my computers and watch are apple products. Mi biggest thing is when I switch over I can’t use my watch. I just want to know someone’s experience switching over when u have as many products as I do from the opposite side.

I was considering this because I carry my Galaxy S21 in my pocket but my job requires alot of heavy lifting and greater possibilities of something cracking it while in my pocket. This video had solidified my decision to go with the Flip 4
My next phone would definitely be a foldable..I was waiting for a foldable phones since Samsung showcased their YOUM display back in 2014. But, it's still not robust enough for my choice. Got a pixel 6 just this year, have plan to use it for at least 4 years, hoping that foldable would become mainstream by then and will be made by many companies.
I love my Z flip 4 because I like to have stuff that is 'different' and the Bora Purple color made me want it even more. Sadly after 1 not so hard fall on the hinge, the hinge already broke and made my screen come loose as well. Luckily I have a phone insurance, but still, apparently it's a fragile phone especially when it falls on the hinge (which is also the heaviest part of the phone and makes it fall with the hinge downwards). ;-; Still no regrets getting the Z flip 4 though!
I have dropped my flip 4 already a few times and it's perfectly intact. I was surprised at the durability of the phone. I guess the hinge is the fragile bit and it would suffer damage once it falls on the hinge. Sorry about your phone. :(

I was gonna trade-in my S10+ to the Zlip4 but after some experiences with the Flip, i felt it not the phone for me because of my clumsiness. Instead i chose the S20FE, cheaper and felt enought for me. Not regret about the S20Fe

YES ! Started using pixel phones few years ago and never want to switch back to other brands, however i am obsessed with the look of this flip phone so i am desperate for google to introduce one 🥲
7:28 Even if the camera isn't as good as other phones these pictures still look better than my ageing Galaxy S8+ which still takes decent photos but there are areas where it fails and this looks way better, plus it seems like a great upgrade as I'm not looking for the super high-end flagships anymore as i now have a mirrorless camera. It's been a hot minute since I've watched your videos and like always they are always fresh and quick.
Honestly this would be the only foldable I would buy at the moment. I traded in my Fold 3 for an S22+; the current Hot Dog style foldables are just too heavy and clunky in my opinion. This would do the trick but I think the camera and battery still need some work. Hard to go from iPhone battery life to anything else at this point.

Bought a flip 4 once it was released, love the phone but the battery made me quickly go back to my iPhone. Im charging my iphone once every 2-3 days, meanwhile having to charge the z Flip 4 TWICE A DAY. If the battery was better, I would fully stick with the device.
It's weird lol. I got a flip 4 and I like it but I find myself using my old phone more. I use my flip 4 as a call phone and I use my second phone for everything else. Which is weird but understandable because my old s21+ has much more battery so it last all day when I use it. The flip 4 dies within half a day and then I gotta charge.
Had the flip for about 2.5 months and loved it except for the cameras… Pictures of people never looked natural, always very artifacty like water colour type… That made it seem like a mid range phone camera when that phone costs 1000$… At least the cameras should’ve been at par with s22… When I buy a phone my priority with that camera is capturing those precious moments, the festivals and family get togethers and most of those pictures I took were either over sharpened or blurred!!! I had to sell it and get back to a more reliable phone, the iPhone 14, the standard one.. Coz I just don’t like heavy bulky phones… Flip was perfect for me had they taken it more seriously and given it the cameras it deserved at 1000$..!! If they give it the ultras camera next yr, I’ll buy it again… And mark my words it’ll be one of the best selling phones Samsung has ever made, just those cameras coz today phones sell just on how good the cameras are, everything else is secondary…
I can't see how they'd fit the Ultra's cameras with their large sensors and periscope lenses into the limited amount of space available inside the Flip

Give a larger camera bump… Create a bigger cover screen so you get more space for all the cameras.. Make it a hair thicker, it doesn’t matter but make it flagship level not just for the novelty and folding factor.. Novelty wears off in a couple of months, you need practicality after that and when I pay that much I want a flagship phone not just ‘it’s almost flagship level but not as good’…!
Love the flip….but after having flip 2 and 3,a couple of things need to change….a more useful bigger outer screen, less crease, better cameras.faster charging. Then I’m back in sammy.
I had a terrible experience with the flip 3. 10 months in i had battery decay issues and had to go through a hassle to replace the battery free of charge. The honeymoon period was over, i was still getting head turns with the phone but that doesn't matter if the phone itself doesn't do the job. The battery was still never good, the display was getting blotches, i was gonna get the flip 4 but the trade in price in my country was so bad, i got completely turned off from being a Samsung loyalist. I went for a vivo flagship and i feel i paid the proper price cos i got a fast charger, headphones, case in the box. I feel like me paying a flagship price was valued more than just being flashy

Been an iphone user all my smartphone life and i switched to this flip and aside from some annoyances with the android software, this phone has been a dream to use and i havent regretted it once

I just got mine and I absolutely love it I thought the more narrow screen would be a problem but it feels better then normal
I've had mine for about a month and it's by far my favorite phone I've ever owned. As a woman, our pockets are small, but my phone fits perfectly. I also appreciate that if I'm wearing leggings that don't have pockets, I can fold the phone over the top of my pants to still have some place to put it. I also love leaving my phone folded and watching videos on it, or creating them while out in public. I don't have to worry about somewhere to set it up because it stands up on its own fine. Also, the fold prevents me from opening it too many times in a day, so overall I'm picking it up a lot less. I switched over from iphone, and I was reluctant, but I've been so happy with this phone.

The Samsung Z Flip 4 is the company's most advanced phone to date. Every company, in my opinion, will produce a phone with a back cover panel display by 2030. It promises to be both beautiful and satisfying. I prefer the Z Flip 4 to the Fold phones. 🔥🔥🔥♥️

I had the fold 3 and missed my traditional slab the entire time. Played with the flip 4 for a little while as well and I still can't get over the weird aspect ratio. Using my S22 ultra and I've never been happier. 😎 Def see how some would like something like this. Just not for me though.
I switched from a 21 ultra to the flip 4. I still want to keep my ultra. I just don't know if this phone is built to last.
@M W Kinda felt the same way with my fold. I've always taken really good care of my devices but I felt like I had to handle it with kid gloves. Especially when hiking and whatnot.

The flip and the fold 4 are toys and when the honeymoon is over aka "wow" factor, Any owner will be filling for divorce.
@@ytr3488 Kinda BS. Used the Z Fold 3 for over a year. And I've never met any issues. Not going back to a slab.
Absolutely no complains with my flip 4 except samsung not allowing flashlight to be turned on below 5 % battery but thats more of a one UI issue than the phones limitation. The battery is surprisingly good too!
The battery is surprisingly sub par. It's only surprisingly good if you put it into power saver mode and don't flip the phone open and just use the external screen. LOL!!!
@@ytr3488 I'm using it everyday on light profile mode. NOT power saving. Watch 4 always connected with 4g, bt, location always on. 2 hrs of bg video playback and 4 hrs plus of screen on time and still ending the day with some battery life left. Camera usage as well. All of this with protective battery on (charging only till 85 percent)
Totally agree what you said why foldable phone… it should be compact when needed and expand & be big when needed. Flexibility is the key….
Had mine since launch and it has exceeded expectations. I find the cover screen quite useful, and also using the phone in flex mode. Very innovative phone. I just wish it had a telephoto lens but the normal and ultra wide photos are good.
Samsung almost got me with this one. Was going to use it has a 2nd phone with my 22 Ultra. Then I played with a Fold 3 for the first time and fell in love so I traded the 22 for a Fold 4.
I could not be happier with my decision.
If they put in flagship cameras, better battery technology, and bigger outer display, I would get one for sure. But if I had to choose, flagship camera is necessary.

I'm a proud and happy owner of the Flip4 (my first Flip) and I actually DO use the "camcorder" hold method of recording video as I find it a much easier way to grip & hold the device, especially for more than a minute (like at a concert). I also feel you're not doing much justice to the outer screen. While you are correct, it seems the potential has not been fully developed (I even bought a 3rd party app which enabled ALL apps to work on that screen - only to find the space is too small for most apps) I use that screen all of the time to check weather, my daily alarm and of course a major benefit of deciding whether or not to engage via the notifications that appear. Finally, I've found other uses of the folding so reliable and important (like an instant tripod for self-timer shots, or even just having the folded phone sit upright on a desk displaying both the time & notification alters). I haven't been this excited about a phone in so long - and I appreciate your praise of it.

I want Google Pixel to make a Google Pixel Flip. The quality of the photos on my Pixel 6 Pro is the only reason I'm sticking with the Pixel. If Google made a Pixel Flip I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I got an insane $510 trade in for old A50 at Spectrum so I got it. Hadn't even thought about flip phone but with everything getting larger, less one hand use friendly I think this is going to work out just right for my need. I had upgraded from Pixel 5 to 7 but will be giving that away to family.
Just got my flip 4 and I have to say it is awesome. Makes my iPhone 12 pro feel so obsolete and dated.
Just wait till your crease starts cracking it will even add to the more awesomeness. Then you'll really be flipping. 🤣

When I got the Fold 2 and it lasted for a year, my sister took the plunge as well and picked up the Flip 3. A year later, she had already switched to the Fold.
I'm currently on the Fold 4 and she's on the Fold 3. She'll probably upgrade on the 5 and I'll probably upgrade on the 6.
We're the only Android enthusiasts in the family, though. Even when we were in high school, we both traded off on Note upgrades and the earlier S models.
I really want to switch over but i am an apple consumer, so all my computers and watch are apple products. Mi biggest thing is when I switch over I can’t use my watch. I just want to know someone’s experience switching over when u have as many products as I do from the opposite side.
I LOVE this phone! I hope Apple is taking notes. I’ve been team iPhone since 3G but if something different doesn’t happen soon with the iPhone, I’m jumping ship. I’m tired of paying more money for the SAME phone.
I was considering this because I carry my Galaxy S21 in my pocket but my job requires alot of heavy lifting and greater possibilities of something cracking it while in my pocket. This video had solidified my decision to go with the Flip 4

My next phone would definitely be a foldable..I was waiting for a foldable phones since Samsung showcased their YOUM display back in 2014. But, it's still not robust enough for my choice. Got a pixel 6 just this year, have plan to use it for at least 4 years, hoping that foldable would become mainstream by then and will be made by many companies.

I have been using Flip4 for 3 months now. I love the phone and work flawlessly. But I miss the Spen and the spacezoom.
my only problem with this phone is how the screen have that stretch look at the middle
I love mine, but I have one tiny issue, and that being the phone is a dust collector, because of the gap between the 2 halves when the phone is closed
I love my Z flip 4 because I like to have stuff that is 'different' and the Bora Purple color made me want it even more. Sadly after 1 not so hard fall on the hinge, the hinge already broke and made my screen come loose as well. Luckily I have a phone insurance, but still, apparently it's a fragile phone especially when it falls on the hinge (which is also the heaviest part of the phone and makes it fall with the hinge downwards). ;-;
Still no regrets getting the Z flip 4 though!
I have dropped my flip 4 already a few times and it's perfectly intact. I was surprised at the durability of the phone. I guess the hinge is the fragile bit and it would suffer damage once it falls on the hinge. Sorry about your phone. :(
@monachowdhury6810 the new design hinge on the Fold / Flip 4 doesn't handle drops as well as the previous generations though it is lighter and slimmer

I love this phone like no other but the quality of pictures taken from far away is uh... something I'll need to get used to.
I was gonna trade-in my S10+ to the Zlip4 but after some experiences with the Flip, i felt it not the phone for me because of my clumsiness. Instead i chose the S20FE, cheaper and felt enought for me. Not regret about the S20Fe

7:28 Even if the camera isn't as good as other phones these pictures still look better than my ageing Galaxy S8+ which still takes decent photos but there are areas where it fails and this looks way better, plus it seems like a great upgrade as I'm not looking for the super high-end flagships anymore as i now have a mirrorless camera. It's been a hot minute since I've watched your videos and like always they are always fresh and quick.

Honestly this would be the only foldable I would buy at the moment. I traded in my Fold 3 for an S22+; the current Hot Dog style foldables are just too heavy and clunky in my opinion. This would do the trick but I think the camera and battery still need some work. Hard to go from iPhone battery life to anything else at this point.
I know that the flip looks nice and such but i dunno i don’t feel so hyped or excited for it but on the other hand that fold4 🥵

I just bought it and the camera is actually really great! I upgraded from an iPhone 12 and the camera was actually much better than the 12.
I changed to a flip4 from Ip13pro and the camera quality is somewhat the same - and this is also when an iPhone user views my photos on Instagram.
@@preeti.r the thing is when it comes to social media it's not actually the quality of the photos but how artistic you can get.
Bought a flip 4 once it was released, love the phone but the battery made me quickly go back to my iPhone. Im charging my iphone once every 2-3 days, meanwhile having to charge the z Flip 4 TWICE A DAY. If the battery was better, I would fully stick with the device.
It's weird lol. I got a flip 4 and I like it but I find myself using my old phone more. I use my flip 4 as a call phone and I use my second phone for everything else. Which is weird but understandable because my old s21+ has much more battery so it last all day when I use it. The flip 4 dies within half a day and then I gotta charge.

Had the flip for about 2.5 months and loved it except for the cameras… Pictures of people never looked natural, always very artifacty like water colour type… That made it seem like a mid range phone camera when that phone costs 1000$… At least the cameras should’ve been at par with s22…
When I buy a phone my priority with that camera is capturing those precious moments, the festivals and family get togethers and most of those pictures I took were either over sharpened or blurred!!!
I had to sell it and get back to a more reliable phone, the iPhone 14, the standard one.. Coz I just don’t like heavy bulky phones…
Flip was perfect for me had they taken it more seriously and given it the cameras it deserved at 1000$..!! If they give it the ultras camera next yr, I’ll buy it again… And mark my words it’ll be one of the best selling phones Samsung has ever made, just those cameras coz today phones sell just on how good the cameras are, everything else is secondary…
I can't see how they'd fit the Ultra's cameras with their large sensors and periscope lenses into the limited amount of space available inside the Flip
@@parshakamarsh I don’t know… Samsung just has to do something.. Maybe not 3 but at least 2 good cameras.. Give a larger camera bump… Create a bigger cover screen so you get more space for all the cameras.. Make it a hair thicker, it doesn’t matter but make it flagship level not just for the novelty and folding factor.. Novelty wears off in a couple of months, you need practicality after that and when I pay that much I want a flagship phone not just ‘it’s almost flagship level but not as good’…!
Love the flip….but after having flip 2 and 3,a couple of things need to change….a more useful bigger outer screen, less crease, better cameras.faster charging. Then I’m back in sammy.

I had a terrible experience with the flip 3. 10 months in i had battery decay issues and had to go through a hassle to replace the battery free of charge. The honeymoon period was over, i was still getting head turns with the phone but that doesn't matter if the phone itself doesn't do the job. The battery was still never good, the display was getting blotches, i was gonna get the flip 4 but the trade in price in my country was so bad, i got completely turned off from being a Samsung loyalist. I went for a vivo flagship and i feel i paid the proper price cos i got a fast charger, headphones, case in the box. I feel like me paying a flagship price was valued more than just being flashy
i don't know about these new phones today. they're becoming less exciting. still rocking my OnePlus 7t up to this day. such a great phone.

As a Flip 4 owner I'd like the next one to have a shorter display, the phone is too tall when open.
I have the same colour as the one in the video and I must say, apart from the battery ( switched from iphone), this phone is awesome!
One thing that bothers me is that I cannot set an alarm from the cover screen... I don't get it. Despite that, this phone is amazing.
