Re your question about (mis)spelling off ASSYST, I am not 100% sure but here is what I think: Just like registering Patents and company Logos, some companies and other business entities would like to register widely used and/or popular words words to their own monopoly - for two reasons: 1) It feels good that you are the owner of a word and 2) In this day and age it's considered COOL! Needless to say, you can't monopolise the use of common, everyday used words such as smile, assist, quick, clean or Friday. But you can (probably) register a word which sounds like one of these and argue that it is your word and cannot be used outside of your business. This is how I think MBZ had created ASSYST. I have come across a few of these, some quite cleaver and meaningful. A garage called "Kweek Fix", A fish & chips shop called " The Fryday", very meaningful for the business too. And a dry cleaners outlet by the name of " Kleeners". Would be interesting to see what others think.

Digital Speedometer. Yes, it's very useful!!! The 160 MPH main speedometer is too hard to read when driving, because it includes hash marks for the 2.5 MPH, in-between the 5's. Too many hash marks. Example: hash marks for 30 MPH next 32.5 MPH next 35 MPH next 37.5 MPH next 40 MPH. If you want your speed to be exact keep the Digital Speedometer up all the time.

The Eco start/stop light comes on automatically but I get no Eco light in the instrument cluster and the car does not start/stop. How do I get it activated?
It should be active automatically. As a matter of fact, you cannot deactivate it. However, it has to have safe conditions to operate. For example, the battery has to be fully charged, the engine has to be warmed up etc... Maybe you should check your car with your local MB service department and let them run the diagnostics.
Nice video but there is a mistake by the eco display. acceleration is how economicly u accelerate. If u instand push the peddle to the metal the "acceleration" would be empty on the display
There is a dipstick under the hood on the right, close to a firewall. But there is no reason to check it, because the car will send you a message on the speedometer "Add 1 quart of oil," or something like that, if the oil level drops below the minimum.
My tire pressure monitor works in the sense that it will tell me I have a tire that is low on air pressure. However, it quit showing the individual tire pressures on the display. I have reset the monitor several times to the new values, and it always says "Okay". But it won't show the values. What needs to be corrected to get the values to show again?
For this you'd need to perform some diagnostics for the sensor's malfunction. But many times, if you update your vehicle software - it can just fix a lot of problems on it's on. Any MB dealership's service department can do the software update for you.
Your videos are awesome! Can you explain, why on 2016 E400 4Matic Coupe tire pressures shown in the owner's manual or on a tire placard on the side of the driver's door FRONT/REAR - 39/44 psi, normal(COLD)? Isn't it too much pressure? Tires are Michelin, Front - 235/40/R18 & Rear - 255/35/R18
Take a closer look at the sticker. Usually there is one on the gas flip cover. My guess is this is MAX rating for a FULL load - 5 people + full trunk. And also for MAX speed. Also for COLD you have to deduct. I would do at least 7 -10 psi less for the normal driving.
If your transmission doesn't shift, make sure to depress your brake pedal harder. Sometimes the problem is transmission doesn't see the brake pedal depressed.

I don't recommend to change values, unless you replace the tire or wheels completely. However if you changed those values by accident - they may be wrong. Then you need to correct it. Pump your tires to the correct pressure based on values you can find inside the gas fuel cap cover. Then go to Serv as I've shown in the video, and then Tire Pressure, then select "Use Current Pressures as New Reference Values."
@7m40s: "From Start. You cannot reset." On my car you can reset the 'From Start' page just the same way you can reset the 'From Reset' page. Just press OKAY etc. YMMV.
Yes, instead of "You cannot reset", I should've said "You should not reset", because the whole idea is that it resets by itself automatically after the new restart of your car. Good catch!
First, check fuses. Second check the wires, and confirm that the power is coming to a switch and to the seat. Third, check the switch. Replace if needed.
It doesn't work all the time, it performs the self-check first. For example, the battery needs to be fully charged and engine must be warm enough, Comfort mode is engaged etc...
On the bright side - you will never have a high mileage car :)) Your speedometer is probably got disconnected in the back, but may be another problem. Have any mechanic to take a look and do a diagnostics for you.

It was possible to change on older models. But as of late, you can't do it anymore. Based on your market where you bought your car - it will be automatically selected to F or C.
Hi, I do not know if anyone answered to your question on Assyst plus , but I’m not sure I think it is ASsistSYSTem Plus. Also I would like to make a question: on my Gle 2016 model i do not see my Volume level , any idea if it is possible?
U didn’t understood my question. I can adjust the volume but I do not see the level on screen , for example 60% or higher so I know how much volume more can I add.
@@ilkospapadopoulos1423 I don't remember if the volume percentage number was ever displayed, maybe because I've never paid attention to it. The loudness is something I trust my ears, not my eyes. If it's loud - turn it down, if it's quite - turn it up. What difference does the volume number make? Also, some GLE sound systems fluctuate the volume based on the outside noise. So it increases/decreases the volume automatically without the driver's input.
If you have a poorly recorded sound, or a radio with bad reception for example, it may have a lot of loud moments following with a lot of quiet ones. So you have to turn the volume up and down constantly to listen at the comfort level. Dynamic Range control compresses the loud and also quiet portions of audio and makes the them much softer, so the sound is bearable to listen without the need to adjust the volume knob all the time. I wouldn't use it on the good quality audio, because the compression affects a quality a little.
Depending on the model and equipment, it can show many different assists. One of the most used is Attention Assist. I have plans to make a video explaining the various Assist Systems, so stay tuned!
Isn't fairly self explanatory as you enter into each setting?? And if not you can always use the back button to get out without changing anything. I have no idea about this model but does it not have an onscreen manual, or at very least a help selection? Good luck.
I am now awaiting the video on the charge reading...as my stop/start doesn’t work and unless I put the battery on charge overnight it won’t.....allegedly. Very informative videos, although I get a little jealous that my early 2016 GLC doesn’t have ALL of the ‘bits’’
Sir can I ask you this about stopping in a high hill road how to do it? Is it step on pedal break and press P then to moving up again press P release the pedal break then the accelerator... is this correct?
There is no reason to use P position, unless you want to Park your car and leave. When I drive on the hills, I usually use both pedals with both feet. Hold with the left foot the brake pedal, so your car doesn't roll, and use right foot to press gas - while releasing the brakes. However if you have the latest 2014 and up Mercedes, your car is equipped with HOLD feature. I'm going to make a video on how to use it, so stay tuned!
MBZ Master sir in an automatic transmission correct me I am wrong. Going up hill the GEAR is in D but I have to stop because of traffic. What I must do is step the brake but the GEAR REMAIN IN D POSITION until it’s time to roll up then step on the gas accelerator. Do you think it won’t go back ward? & today I will do a driving test it’s Mercedes Benz first time to use the car... 😇 thanks for replying
@@MBZMaster To use the HOLD feature... When stopped, just press hard on the brake pedal. HOLD will light up on the instrument panel and hold position until you step on the accelerator or brake pedal... very smooth transitions. Nice feature on my 2014 E class.

@@MBZMaster In the GLC 300 model I have the the Backligh comes on when I switch on. It remains on day and night. Maybe nowadays it is very cloudy and gloomy weather. Sun is hardly seen. Maybe that is why the backlight is on. But sometimes, while on the move , the backlight goes off for a few minutes and comes again. Okay as you say, I shall see how it performs when the sun shines bright after this spell of gloomy weather. Thank you. Does this model purchased in October 2018 have the Park Assist and Driving Seat & Steering Wheel Movement for getting In & Out of the Car features as per your Video. How do I access these features. @@MBZMaster How do I check if available. Local vendors clueless. Also when I stop the car and switch off it goes automatically to P position. Sometimes it does not but remains at N. Vendors say that this model should not go to P. Quote an outdated manual.
Just look in your Settings, as I've shown in the 1st Part. If it's not there, it means your car doesn't have those options. I'm going to make a video about the Park Assist in near future, so stay tuned!
As it seems to be a simple idea, is very difficult in reality. Because in order to have an air compressor connected to tires, you should have an air cable with a bullet-proof valve to withstand the pressure differences while driving, which may cause problems over time.

All cars sold in the U.S have Psi, so I wouldn't know if it was possible to change. Try to ask your local MB dealer.

I don't think you can fix the display, only replace. Same like LCD TV, once pixels burn - it becomes unfixable.

I don't think it's currently possible. But some older models it used to be possible through the settings menu inside the instrument cluster.

I think there is no ok button. You just go up and down, and once you find the menu you need, you go to left or right.

If you have to charge your car battery every night... it means - it's time to replace your battery.

Correct, don't put your car in P, every time you stop your car. I'm going to show how to use the HOLD feature in one of my upcoming videos.

I've never seen any Benz without the outside temperature. Although the first A-Class ever sold in U.S was 2019 model, and it already had MBUX system.

Ambient lighting - only have option to adjust brightness!!
Ambient lighting should have a brightness adjustment. Multicolor is optional on most models.

In GLC300 MODEL why back light of Dashboard Instruments Panel goes off intermittently and comes on again for a short while. How to correct.
Backlight comes in whenever your headlights come on, and then turns off whenever headlights turn off.

Does this model purchased in October 2018 have the Park Assist and Driving Seat & Steering Wheel Movement for getting In & Out of the Car features as per your Video. How do I access these features.

All those features are optional, so you have to see if your car is equipped with them.

Also when I stop the car and switch off it goes automatically to P position. Sometimes it does not but remains at N. Vendors say that this model should not go to P. Quote an outdated manual.
Just look in your Settings, as I've shown in the 1st Part. If it's not there, it means your car doesn't have those options. I'm going to make a video about the Park Assist in near future, so stay tuned!
An on board air compressor
As it seems to be a simple idea, is very difficult in reality. Because in order to have an air compressor connected to tires, you should have an air cable with a bullet-proof valve to withstand the pressure differences while driving, which may cause problems over time.
How do you change kpa to psi?

Answer to your question : I’d invest cars with fire proof inflatable body kits . electric/solar engine that could be drive in Road, Water and Air.
Maybe it’s German for Assist.
The reason assist was misspelled asyst is probably of "diversity hiring" within Mercedes...JS
