Hi again. Is there anyway to reset the transmission computer and to learn to adapt to my driving style? The previous owner of my ML 350 2015 was old couple..of course they drive more slow. My style it's more fast and aggressive so I need a quick response between changing the gears. I've noticed little bit af a lag when changing the speed gear

I LIVE IN VANCOUVER BC - I BOUGHT A ONE OWNER 2007 450 GL - first thing I did was change the oil and then under the Passenger Seat is the AGM battery and beside it a small auxiliary battery - the AGM is a Chemical Battery that will run you from $400 - $ 600 , I got the cheap one - heavy battery so you need 2 people to lift it out - ALL GOOD - BUT GUESS WHAT = Changing the battery erased the brains on the KEY FOB - going to cost $300 to program new Brains and I have no spare key - NEW KEY $ 900 = so I wait for the new QFS banking to come in and fix this problem = AND BE BACK ON THE ROAD AGAIN !

Watch my "C-Class tutorial Part 2". Most of the "how to use" features explained there are very similar to GLE and SLK, so you may as well watch the whole video. I shown how to use the memory positions around 7th minute of that video or so, and it's pretty much the same as in both of your cars. Your model can be updated via software update, but you have to bring your car to your local MB dealership. On the newest MB cars, it can be updated via over-the-air.
Very informative, Thank you. One question the easy/exit I have selected on but the seat does not retract nor does the steering wheel move up out of the way. What did I miss, ideas please!
If the seat is already moved almost all the way back, and steering moved almost all the way up - the system will not work. There should be enough space to function. Also make sure the feature is selected. On some models it's very misleading if it's on or off. Try to turn on and see if it works and also try to turn it off and see if it works.

Turn the sound all the way down or hit a mute button. Another way is to switch from Radio to another source, like Bluetooth audio, for example, and then don't stream anything.

The car is 2016 E220 estate. When put in the manual mode, it stays there for a time, then switches itself back into auto. If it is possible, I would like the option of staying in manual until I decide to switch back into auto. Many thanks for replying to me .
@@jodauth3319 The difference between the clutchless manual and normal manual stick-shift, is Automatic shifting BLOCKS higher gear, instead of ENGAGING the higher gear. So if you put in 3rd gear - it will block all other higher gears but will use all 3 gears below. So, once you engage the highest gear... it will automatically switch to Automatic... since there are no gears to block anymore. Except for some models, where you can switch the transmission into the dedicated "M" mode.

Door close or door lock? MB stopped automatic locking a long time ago, because many people locked their keys inside the car. But you can lock the doors from anywhere using MercedesME app on your cell phone.

Also, the manual states I should have an AMG menu in the instrument cluster, but I do not see it. Did my car not come with it?
No, you can't. If it was possible - MPG ratings of your car would be much different and not in line with EPA guidelines... forcing manufacture to make smaller and weaker (but less fuel thirsty) engines. Remember that Sport+ disengages the ECO stop and go. At first, I wanted also to disengage it permanently... but after using it for the last 3 years, I actually like it, because it saved me thousands of dollars! Plus, the more you use it - the smoother it becomes. Sport+ is not always suitable for every day driving and wastes a lot more gas. Also technically C450 was not an AMG car, until it was replaced with C43 AMG. Although both models are extremely close, C450 was not under AMG umbrella, and therefore didn't have AMG badge, neither AMG menu.
@Anabelle Mendez Depending on where you live, country, or State, the seat moving feature might be disabled due to some previous legal issues. I believe that some kid got injured playing in the rear seat, while the front seat was automatically moving. In some places, this feature is allowed again because of technological advancements. Also if your seat is already moved very far, not necessarily all the way, it's not going to work. There should be ample space behind. Also, make sure there are no obstacles or resistance from anything behind or under the seat.

In C-Class you change "Automatic mirror fold" in the multimedia central screen, instead of the instrument cluster. Watch how to do it at 12:48 time of the video.

My w203 use to with the remote key outside the car, but now it can not start, how do I set it back to keep starting with the remote key while am not in the car.
I understand that there is a place near the center console of a MBZ C300 (mine is a 2017) where one can place a Fob which has a dead battery and the car recognizes it and will start. Where is this place in my car? Can't find it anywhere. BTW _ THESE ARE THE BEST VIDEO on TH-cam. Thanks - AS

Your car probably doesn't have the Comand Navigation. However, you can add a Garmin Navi on SD Card, which you need to buy separately and insert it into SD Card slot.

Are you asking about the Active Braking Assist? Depending on the model you can adjust the sensitivity via the Instrument Cluster, in Driver Assist menu.
In the 2017 E class I have in the settings of sounds, sound focus It has 3 features to set the sounds one is all seats, the second is front only, the 3rd option is rear seat only which option is the best option for the sound focus should be set at To get the best quality sound
All seats is best for sound. You can also probably adjust the Fader between the front and back to fine-tune, to make sure you can hear the entire surround. Front only option is basically designed, if you have kids sitting in the rear seats listening to something else or maybe earphones, so you don't bother them as much..
@@kevinferguson5580 You can adjust volume to be more loud, but the surround separates voice into the central channel. There are other controls to fine tune the sound. I'm going to do the video about it in near future.

Are you sure your car is equipped with a rear view camera? Depending on the year and model, it used to be optional equipment.

Should be loud enough, unless there is a problem with that. Then you just need to visit your local MB Dealer and warranty should cover.

I believe that some kid got injured playing in the rear seat, while the front seat was automatically moving. In some places, this feature is allowed again because of technological advancements. Also if your seat is already moved very far, not necessarily all the way, it's not going to work. There should be ample space behind. Also, make sure there are no obstacles or resistance from anything behind or under the seat.
Awesome tutorial! Hoping you can help. I recently purchased a 2019 GLS550. I have the easy entry/exit set to on but it will not work. The wheel, seat and mirrors all work fine, but just not with easy exit. Can you help?
You have to turn it ON, as I showed in this video. It's easy to mistake ON/OFF. Try both.
So What I have learned is that it only moves the steering wheel up on exit, and it doesn't telescope it closer to the dash. @@MBZMaster

Somehow my side view mirrors stopped folding when I touch the handles to lock my car. Videos show going to settings and finding convenience to turn on the feature but I cannot find convenience on my 2018 c300. Please help.
In C-Class you change "Automatic mirror fold" in the multimedia central screen, instead of the instrument cluster. Watch how to do it at 12:48 time of the video.
There times in my 2024 GLC300 the the apple car play at the top left of the big screen disappears. How do I bring it back or go to car play?
Hit HOME button, and Carplay should be visible from there.

It works when you drive slow and show the turn signal at the direction of parking. I plan to make a video about the Park Assist, so stay tuned!

You have aftermarket system installed in your car. Not Mercedes original system. Check what kind of system and maybe it just needs a fuse replacement.

Your car probably doesn't have the Comand Navigation. However, you can add a Garmin Navi on SD Card, which you need to buy separately and insert it into SD Card slot.

can the right front distance sensor be adjusted to be less sensitive? Mine on C300A4 is going off very often, even when nothing is near.
Are you asking about the Active Braking Assist? Depending on the model you can adjust the sensitivity via the Instrument Cluster, in Driver Assist menu.
Early parking sensor sounds adjustment do you know how to do that on GLS 550 2019
I don't think you can, but it should have parking LED lights to warn you before any beeping sound.

In the 2017 E class I have in the settings of sounds, sound focus It has 3 features to set the sounds one is all seats, the second is front only, the 3rd option is rear seat only which option is the best option for the sound focus should be set at To get the best quality sound
All seats is best for sound. You can also probably adjust the Fader between the front and back to fine-tune, to make sure you can hear the entire surround. Front only option is basically designed, if you have kids sitting in the rear seats listening to something else or maybe earphones, so you don't bother them as much..

In the surround sound settings it seems to me that having it off is more louder then having the surround sound on to me is that true?
@@kevinferguson5580 You can adjust volume to be more loud, but the surround separates voice into the central channel. There are other controls to fine tune the sound. I'm going to do the video about it in near future.

What model do you have? Does it have MBUX? How many buttons on the remote control, does it have a separate trunk button? Where do you need to enter 4 digit code?
