    I also found two of them last week! And they have survived, could you please give me some instructions on what to feed them? I have birds food mixed with water as a paste and I feed them 4 to 5 times a day with a syringe… still I’m worried about their weight it has been 20g for days now and it won’t become more :(

      Hi :) What kind of bird food? These are carnivorous birds, they eat insects. Your best bet is egg yolk and small bugs made into a paste. Please refer to video info and the comments here for more information on feeding and caring for them. Watch their excrement. If it's very bubbly, it's diarrhea.

      @@technoshamanarchist I don’t know what type, they are colorful grains and I make them into powder and then add water, today is day 8 and they are active!
      I tried feeding then worms but they don’t like it, do you think I can also feed them egg yolk now?
      Also I have no idea how much to feed them each day! I’m always afraid to overfeed them 😭

      @@janamedi3046 That sounds like budgie food, etc. Not for them! Are you sure they're swifts? How grown up are they? Get grasshoppers from a pet shop, chop them small and mi them with yolk for a paste. I don't know if you can overfeed them, they stop screaming when they're full.

    one of the best mosquito hunters in the world and they are few in numbers , have one in my house right now a young one that dont want to eat , must go to force feed if he dont pick up , made him drink water , and i gave him some water with a little sugar ,and insect mixture ...they need help if they are on the ground , they cant take of and the youngster that fall from the nest are on there own
    that is why i try to help him or her , it would be dead anyhow if its on the ground

      I had to force feed it for a while, then it started eating like crazy. Egg yolk is good for starters, and bugs.

      @@technoshamanarchist it is sure not easy , but i check on him all the time , not happy i got this task , wakes up in the morning about to sleep a little more and boom the bird , jumps out to check him ,and it is hard to know if he gets enough water i can se him swallows it , it feels so cruel to pester him all the time , but i guess it is the only ting i can do since in Norway the do not have any kind of bird care ,they had a line and they told me to put it back so the parrents could find them , but that was a huge lie

    Yesterday, I found a common swift but she is not eating or drinking anything. Is there anything else than worms or bugs that I can feed her?

    • @technoshamanarchist
      @technoshamanarchist  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your best option is live bugs (flies, crickets, grasshoppers, crushed and mixed with yolk if it's a baby), but until you get them egg yolk helps. You can drop water on the beak and it should lick it. Is it smaller than this one?

      @@vibha4058 Then it's a baby still. They like to hang on to things to sleep, if they have the strength. Mine slept holding on to the edge of a cardboard box. Egg yolk is still good for food for a bit, but do get real insects for growth soon.
