I spent a lot learning and testing the radar on the F-4 in DCS. Gotta say it’s a completely different beast when you’re proficient with boresight, ACM and flood. Got several kills online and I wasn’t even carrying heatseekers.
I find so much about the F-4E to be intuitive and straight-forward... But then there's Sparrows... Lol. This is a really great guide though, and it's making much more sense as we all learn the nuances of the Phantom.
so i know one thing to mention overall guys. about track ir tracking, found out yesterday after years and will share you my experience. many of you guys use the f1 cockpit default view for the sim right? so i found out hit "ctrl f1" natural head movement as cam settings.its like the same as cockpit view , and you see not much differents at first. but trust me your head tracking will be so much more natural.try out for your self
One issue I’ve encountered is the aiming dot going all over the place, and not just from target maneuvering. The dot has a seizure that’s totally impossible to track.
You need to do another carrier vs carrier video for the US. But this time the US Will have the new AIM-174B instead of amraam and LRASM instead of MAKO.
Double press the jester context button returns the radar to normal scan, much quicker than rotating the weapons select dial.
thx
I never knew that. That’s an incredible piece of information to be honest. I wish someone told me that sooner.

Been looking forward to this
Thanks, that's the clearest video on the subject I've watched.
You can also return to Normal Pattern Scan by double tapping the Jester Context Action button.
thx
A functional tutorial for the Sparrow missile system on the valued and sexy F-4 Phantom.

Thank you Sir for your amazing video. F4 Phantom Mig Killer Sky King 🇺🇸🇬🇷
I thought firing a second sparrow trashes the guidance on the first one?
Nope. Works fine on the Phantom.
Best advice for the Sparrow. Don't arm it, better off loading Mk-82s and trying to drop those on your bandit.

When I encounter that I break lock and try to reacquire, I dont know why it does thst but I assume its a bad lock.

Wow the bots are going off
This is very sad 😢. He usually gets over 10000 views now he’s getting 372 views in 1 hour
The bots are pretty obvious. They mention professionalism. Clearly that’s not the case. 🤣
One more AI voiceover and im out
This isn’t an AI voiceover. Check out Cap’s announcement and you’ll know why others are helping out.
Lol. You can hear it's cannonball if you're a regular, valued viewer.
Yeah, well he’s a Brit soooooo….yeah
I'm giving the benefit of the doubt. Can't keep up with every single video you know?
