Feeling upset is a normal emotion. The problem is expressing it in certain ways. Though I can totally agree that higher tier character mains have less reason to rage , not really being upset
Dude you know it's gonna be the exact same thing when Smash 5 comes out. What makes you guys think it would change just because a new game is coming out? People are gonna stay the same and so is the scene. That's why I don't go to tournaments. Too many toxic people, much like many of these commentors. I prefer playing with friends or family because we always stay that way after games. (Even if me and my brother get mad at each other sometimes and falsely say the other was cheating lol) and of course For glory. Cuz I mean people can get mad at you but you don't have to deal with them losing control and causing a ruckus, breaking controllers/systems, screaming right by your ear, and overall just not handling themselves very well. Gamers that are like that won't simply change with a new game coming out. Bet on it. I'm sorry, but it's the truth. And it will only get worse since more people have Switches than Wii U's now. And I'm sure more copies of Smash for the Switch will sell within a few months than Smash 4 did in its entire lifespan. I'm not saying people/gamers can't change. They can. But for the competitive scene as a whole? No. The weather forecast is still salt, salt and more salt, plus broken forehead-veins popping. With the occasional broken joycon and pro-controller. You'd think with most of these people being adults, this wouldn't even be a problem. It really shouldn't. Especially when a lot of the guys ragequitting and screaming at the top of their lungs are like 20-30. It's absolutely sickening. They need to grow up, but there is little hope I'd say. Maybe people that hold tournaments will change things to prevent this from happening and just ban people that cause a scene. But that I doubt too. Who knows...

Many of the guys who showboated by stunning their opponent and then ended up losing as a result of being cocky at least were respectful after the match. They realized their own folly of letting down their guard to such a degree and eating humble pie. Props to them for taking it like champs though.
