    One point of feedback, you made the point you went with an all new line up for the test. I think one product (logically the winner) from a prior group test would be good to include another time as a point of reference. Else we learn which scores best in the new line up, but do they better the older products.

    SiRamik is the new king for me. Managed to get hold of some from a detailing shop near Barnsley last weekend - and was amazed at how glossy it leaves the car (2022 RS4). It's rained a few times and the beading looks insane, but I've yet to wash the car since applying it, and only time will tell how durable it is. Let's see how it goes. I'm not too bothered about price - if it's in the 30-50 quid range, I'll pay it as long as it's a top product, and this seems to be. I've tried all kinds of stuff in the past - Auto Finesse, Auto Glanz, Inifinty, you name it (I like to experiment) - but this SiRamik spray sealant takes the biscuit so far.

      Could not agree more I have a white Porsche and nothing has made it shine like this, I truly amazed how glossy the car is far more shine than the new collinite which I have been using and still 90% left in the bottle, best product I have ever used and following John now for years and years and very little I haven't tried just so pleased other than a full ceramic nothing is beating it.

    John your Siramik trigger isn’t seized up. There’s a little black tab just below the trigger handle, it’s a trigger lock. You need to move that around to the side as far as possible. Pretty much 90° to where it’s currently sitting, from memory it’ll click into the unlock position.

    Hi M8 , the advice on applying Siramik Lustrous on In2detailing is to spray it directly onto the microfibre or applicator. This may be a better method than directly onto the panel. Seems to have applied easily for myself using the applicator method. 👍

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      maybe yer I find its forgiving with how much you use. so even if you overload the panel a bit it buffs out fine. but you could prime up a nice big fat microfiber applicator first and then just get a layer over the panel and buff.

      no probs mate. If you go down the cover route get a good quality cover mate with soft lining thats breathable. make sure you put it on a clean car only. And secure it so it does not pull in the wind that pull rubs on the car that can do the damage. Be carefull when the car cover gets wet and freezes as it can stick to the paint work. never pull it off frozen.

  • @2of2DCH

    It's a great chart. To me I look at it and decide what categories are my priority. Siramax would be out be because those sprayers annoy me, and I don't want to deal with finding replacements. My big concern is fair price(subjective based on income and personal opinions), ease of use, gloss and durability. Beadmaker really introduced us to this segment, yet it NEVER goes on nice for me. I am forever getting streaks. So I am trying other options. I'll probably order the Collinite next.

  • @79blustone
    @79blustone 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I'm using a few ceramic products that are very hydrophobic, I'm getting around the amazing110° angle 'BUT' those beads stick to the bonnet or panel, they don't run away despite the extreme bead angles. It's like you've got these very round water beads hanging on for dear life as I'm going around the corners on rails.
    I think it's not just about beadage, it's about how quickly the move water around or off a panel that's needed too. It's probably linked in with chemical slickness somehow or the amount of Fluropolymer use that allows fast ejection of water from a panel. It looks like the SI ramic, Collinite and Menzerna address these issues?

Then thoroughly recommend you get your hands on the Collinite 3in1 detailer spray which is all you need to apply after each maintenance wash for additional gloss and ceramic strengthening. It’ll easily give your beadcoat at least 6 months of life without need to apply it again. Enjoy 😊

Always outdoors, often with rubber gloves, but not always. What are the implications of breathing in the mists that come from spraying these things? Nobody would be foolish enough to breathe these in directly, but you can't help catch some of it, even when outdoors. What does everybody think? I looked at the siramik which looks super durable and I see they do 100ml bottles but with shipping and duty id be paying €60 for the 100ml which leads me onto,so do I go for a 1 year lite ceramic like the synergy lite V2 at €35 for 100ml or would you have any recommendations for a true 12 month protection that a novice can apply that's better than the synergy lite V2 that is not as expensive as siramik..

    8:00 seriously? you should be more careful what kind of info you are giving. People should understand that this is not a true "ceramic" sealant. The raw ingredient is PDMS which is odorless, what your are smelling is the scent they are using. Koch is one of the fewer brands that have full transparency when it comes to environmental compliances, VDA norms, just do a comparison between a Gyeon or whatever top tier brand and Koch SDS sheet. People think if a product is marketed as Sio2 based, ceramic based, sio2 content is bla bla , then it's durable, glossy and ticks all the boxes, or almost.. Well, in my real world testings it's not always the case. I've been using S0.02 for a few years now, namely because of it's ease of use, less is more!Gloss and shine for me is at least average especially on a black car (didn't understood why it came last in your ranking it's clearly one of the glossiest on the market), real world durability is something that always depends on a bunch of things , but for what i've experienced it's between 3-5 months. Like comparing it to a spray on rinse off sealant that is marketed as ceramic with sio2 content and slick and glossy and 6 months durability I can tell you it lasted max 2 month in real world.
