We can cut this video down to about 10 seconds. “BILT HAMBER” job done!
Too bad they aren’t available In the US
Jon has introduced me to Bilt-Hamber and my life is better for it, everything has exceeded my expectations👍👍
Spoiler alert 😂
@@GrandHuevotes Matt Moreman confirmed in a video Obsessed Garage will have some Bilt Hamber products available in 6-8wks
@keithcullen4703 it's a clean sweep but then again the products are "built" to "hammer" out your detailing tasks 😋
LOVE that you broke wind, acknowledged that you did and kept going!! TOO FUNNY!! Informative too!!
Bilt hamber touchless and auto wash are two of the best products I have ever used.
Thanks for another year of great content Jon, Happy Christmas to you and the family 🎄🥂
Another good video Jon, There are lots of good car cleaning products on the market but I find Bilt Hamber and Koch Chemie products are the best out there.
Because of you Jon I bought 4 of those Lucullan brushes from Ali Baba when you were cleaning your first Porsche 👍. They are durable fantastic brushes 👌
Thanks for your videos! recently did a small Lexus in similar condition by myself and it took about 5 hours. I think having 2 people helps the efficiency tremendously. I’ve been using p&s absolute in the steamer but I guess I need some bio bombs too!
Thank you for taking the time to make another cracking video Jon. This video has made my day after this morning when I got upset after seeing a Rosso Red Alfa Romeo 156 Veloce Sportwagon being carted off to the local breakers (honestly, who are these people, grrrrrrrr!!!!) Anyway, all the best to you and your family, and your fleet, for a lovely Christmas. And all the best to Imran, who's always doing his best to send all our orders out on time.
love a 156 :)
Hello John, greetings from Costa Rica. Honestly, I love the way you make your videos-simple, pleasant, and relaxing. It's truly a pleasure to watch them. Also, your personality is top notch. Keep them coming! Cheer's mate.
Thank you very much
Great video mate, man you’ve got some gear !!! Keep up the great work 👏👏
Love these videos. It’s interesting how we all have our garages set up differently but essentially the same. That dry and shine is one of the best I’ve used. Can’t find it anywhere now though 😐.
The Ultra Glaco does the same as Gyeons Quick View. It leaves lines behind, so I'm glad you said it too!
Bilthamber neves goes wrong, have been using their pre-wash for like 5 years, and tried a couple of different ones, but always fall back on Bilthamber, maybe not the thickest foam, but the cleaning properties are amazing
My prewash is always Autofoam, but it is a bit thin. May i recommend Halfords Advanced Snowfoam at 2% in the same bottle as your prewash (AF or Surfex). Works an absolute treat. Even 1% helps. So in an IK Foamer I have 950ml DI water, 40ml AF and 20ml Halfords foam.
I love Carpro Perl for tyres -
Very easy to apply and lasts
Good review of products. I have the atlasta soft tip version of partsbrush brush that can be used to get dirt out of the seams in seats and all kinds of things. I also like Jescar power lock, I often put it over the top of my ceramic just to make it feel better. The Rupes you like has an action very much like the Bosch 6 inch dual action sander that I use. Have you tried Webril wipes with metal polish or when you want to do a small piece of paint?
Great Video! I must admit I just go to either Amazon UK or Halfords for my cleaning products - esp when they are doing Black Friday deals or discounts. I’m happy with the end result! In fact, less than 30 mins ago I spent 2-1/4 hours doing my Truck. Looks showroom finish now! ( until it rains lol).
8:50 Love this Guy...HA! Great video Jon. Thanks
Fantastic video Jon, as usual, informative and truthful. Just a heads up, I use Carpro Darkside on the tire. It is so easy to apply, has no buffing, and lasts for months. Cheers again for the brilliant channel.
This is the way, I used it recently, never going back
Great show as usual Jon!
Gave you tried Meguiars Hybrid Paint Coating?
It lasts well over here in Australia
Great video, thank you for taking time to go through your stock, really useful to find out about the uses for each one. Could I ask, what would you recommend for the black plastic trim manufacturers are putting on there exterior of cars? (around wheel arches, bottom of doors etc. I find it hard to understand why they can’t find a plastic to stay black but that’s another story)I have tried an APC but whilst it somewhat cleans it isn’t ideal, probably the down to the manufacturers mixture. Would Surfex HD be suitable? Thanks
303 for interior finishing has to be a go to product. Also recommend Dr Leather wipes to get leather back to factory finish.
Just a heads up. Detail Factory released an XL version of their Tire Brush👍
Also, I noticed the Speedmaster version of "EZ Brush". The tip at the end is much more resiliant to breaking off than theirs. Thats.one of the issues I, as well as many others, have noticed with the EZ Brush. Otherwise they both do a great job!
Fyi, how's the Porsche? Hope you are enjoying that fine ride!😀
Good video, do a video on what you would get from Halfords for the common man and us common folk who like to clean the car’s on the weekends etc thank you
they have some good stuff but to really unlock all the benefits of the detailing scene you are better ordering online and getting the stuff in this video I think.
Great ideas of products to look out for. You said you haven't compared citrus but you have.
Bilt Hamber anything is the best quality product for the price, in every sector.
Yes you can get a slightly better product if you wish to pay a lot more.
The only things I use which isn't Bilt Hamber brand, is wax, Soft99 fusso as a base, with Soft99 mirror shine on top. But, that said, the BH double speed wax is great value for £15, just a bit sticky to remove, but lasts for months. And shampoo, I actually really like Autoglym pure shampoo it's only 8 quid and does the job.
I use meguairs tyre gel too.
Another great video John, where do you get your stand up bottles with the taps on the bottom from please mate? I need some of those for the garage
Great video as usual. Very informative and selection of products. Not sure if I missed where did you get those S/S storage shelves from ?? And Wishing you and all a very merry Christmas & New Year 🎅🍾
display pro mate
Rinseless washing is good enough for 90% of the time. ONR with opti seal or Carpro Merlin Elixir as a drying aid is all you really need.
I have a new way of doing my tyres now and it keeps tyres black for weeks on end. I do them with the Turtle wax graphene trim restorer first and then apply a gel like Meguires over this.
It seems like the very basic cleaning products (car shampoos, APCs, snow foams) have been dragged up to a generally good standard. Lots of good products out there at similar prices and its hard to go wrong.
Detailing is addictive. I need to start reigning in some of my detailing spending. I got way too much. Although some stuff has multiple uses- I need to start to tap more into uses and have a smaller amount of product
QD as a drying aid. Is it ok to use tap water?
John could you do a review on duel range I'm currently using duel flex polymer and I find it really good
Just bought some white lake country microfibre pads for my Golf R. Should I have gone with wool instead (DA)? Do they not cut even more?
A video on DIY detail products such as their rinseless wash & legacy sponge would be great - I am nearly sure In2Detailing sell their products. I enjoyed your video of the Incredible Suds.
Their Rinseless wash is amazing.
It's the best, beats mckeys and onr by a long shot, I love it
Hi Jon, another great video. Missed it when first posted. Concerning the the pump sprayer; have you tried the Marolex? I can highly recommend. I’ve also got an IK but as you said it takes a lot of pumpin ! The Marolex can cover the whole car (in one go.
I wanted to ask you about a product by Autoglym called Autogloss Rinse. I haven’t seen this product before but you spray it on the car after it’s main wash at 100:1 ratio and then rinse off and let it dry for a shine.
Sounds great if it works. I wonder if you’ve used this product?
Cheers
Is rinse the trade version of polar seal?
Hi john dont sleep on the turtle wax cermic inside job I really like the way it looks after I know there are alot but looks nice smells nice
8:50 LOL. I Laugh so hard when you say that. So many pumpage for so little action. Man, I feel you Man. Couldn't be more true. Lol
I love your videos John. I just wish you’d use a clip mic 😂
How about recommended leather cleaners, and tire dressing?
These vids are great.
Full of info
Very clear & helpful to me.
My car cleaning history began with Fairy liquid & a bath sponge in 1970 something.
I have the polar trio by Auto glym.
I have Surfex HD because I saw your tests & thanks ...
Its spot on.
Now dont hate me.
But I have a bottle of "Show Room Shine".
It says it has canuba wax?
Is it going to be something I can use in between proper cleans?
Or am I going to be banned from viewing you channel for asking.
Cheers
&
Have a great 2024.
yes mate so you can wax the car whenever you feel like it. just make sure to deconaminate it and polish it first as required. see detailing fundamentals playlist for some great pointers.
That older MTM foam cannon could do with them making a AVA style base attachment and it would improve its stability massively
This is the best vid I have ever seen...
Hi John
What I’d be interested in is how many of these products transcend into your house?
I suspect we’ve all taken glass cleaners inside, but have you:
* Tried taking water spots off tiles and shower screens?
* Ceramic coated the shower?
* Stopped windows and glass from steaming up?
* Put anti-static coatings on TVs?
* Machine polished plastics or metals (remote controls, door handles etc.)?
Maybe it’s just me, but it’s difficult to leave my OCD car cleaning obsession outside, but is it just me?
I’ve not seen any other retailers on TH-cam doing this, but I don’t know if there’s a reason for that?
Don't feel bad, I have similar extended racks and I don't even have time to wash more than once a month!
Big Jon I NEED YOUR HELP mate! Think a cat has tried to climb up the rear window on my 22 plate golf R 😫. Scratches aren’t to deep but can get nail in. What’s the best way to get them out mate? 🙏
This video has been brilliant 👏 very down to earth content and very honest Thanks John
John I wanted to ask you have you tried Koch chemie vb it's a stronger version than greenstar I have been told
i dont think I have mate one to try
@@ForensicDetailing I've just ordered one for the winter weather been informed it has alot better cleanjng power than greenstar, still need to purchase mystic bubbles as its been recommended by yourself on the other hand brilliant content on here lately keep up the great work 👍
Bilt Hamber and gear..whoooop
Good tip for you John take a look at the fallen angel microfiber towels, Dave sells the 500 gsm towels for £25 for 25 :D
I'm back to using BSD as my winter plan since turtle wax stopped doing the blue wash and dry...and the base line seal and shine took a big backwards step when they brought out the "new" formula. Still use the hybrid and pro for the summer, but for winter back the BSD for durability and touch on or polar seal for the last topper
i got 2 bottles of the USA seal and shine and I think its great. does seem to have a edge over the UK stuff.
Nice job sir
Nice walkthrough ! I've went for a EGO power lawn mower and strimmer. Really solid tools, and can really complete with a petrol, anyway I'm probably going to go for the blower. I have a big boy, but don't use it a lot, the cord can be a pain, so hoping that the ego blower will see a bit more use, since I bought into the battery platform. the Flex drill and brush set is amazing, i got mine with the PXE80, and i wouldn't go back to a corded 3"
Merry chrimbo Jon, look forward to what content you bring us in the new year 🧽💪
What is a chrimbo?
Anyone know of a decent product for cleaning black rubberised side steps on my Campervan. Found some stuff laying around in my old man’s garage called Decosol Black Bright that was fantastic but sadly not available anymore ?
Where can I get the stainless shelves from? That all the sprayers are on, I think the shelves look great and I’m looking to buy some
Display pro m8
Hi !
I have been using soft99 products to care my car but now I have beenthinking about changing to koch chemie products . Do you think it would worth the change or both are almost the same ? I dont have experience with Koch Chemie.
Cheers !
Use both I do
Very good coverage, but what about the pressure washer?.
so I use a cheap p55 go now. if you want big punch then its karcher K7 or ava P80 evo
Can you make a video explaining cutting and polishing brands please
Already done m8 see best cutting compound
MEG'S M40 IS GREAT AT REMOVING COMpound or wax stains on any kind of vinyl or rubber (for your polisher). Sorry about the caps, didn't want to re-type it.
I wonder what’s the recipe of a dirt simulator))) if that’s not a commercial secret, can you share one?)))) Thanks, John!
trade secret mate.
It might be worth doing a video on Di water, you say you use it. But do you make your own or buy it or order it in bottles.
DI water in Tesco is 2.5 litres for £1.50 i think. Thats what i use
Hello, may I ask where to get the stainless shelfs... I've been looking for that for a while, but usually those are for catering and 300mm wide... I would be very grateful
display pro mate
Thank you verry much...have a nice Christmas and enjoy the new year... 🎄🍀
Anyone know what model the mini Flex vacuum is that he says he uses more than the big one?
Is it lc6 ? Just Google flex cordless vacuum m8
So, you prefer the Flex XCE over the XFE?
I have the PXE and plan to buy a bigger 18V machine this year. I cannot decide between one of the DA's or maybe a Rotary.
If cordless go xce m8
@@ForensicDetailing Thank you.
Greetings from Germany
Why would Can Coat be as far as you would go with ceramic coatings? Is it as good as the glass bottle ones, just a shorter period of durability?
personal preference. its not as durable as a full blooded ceramic
Do you use the Fusso F7 stuff much or would you pick the turtle wax liquid wax (or spray) instead of it? 😎
I don't f7 m8 I prefer the tin version
@@ForensicDetailing okay thank you mate, the liquid waxes are appealing to me
I have 2 of the mjjc Pro 2 cannons and both are almost unusable unless you hold the bottle to stop the threads slipping, almost dropped the bottle on the bonnet twice now from it going unexpectedly. Just bought a v3 which has a lockable bottle
not sure what you mean there. or not encountered that problem. the thread in the bottle seems solid as hell.
@dannywinfield324 same thing happened to mine it’s now an expensive paper weight 🙄
@ForensicDetailing it's almost like the bottle top or the black threaded lid has warped somehow so it's no longer perfectly circular, if you overtighten to try and make it secure it comes off, it's like a balancing act trying to get tight enough but not too tight. Regardless they have fixed it in the v3 by the look, shame though as I've spent nearly 100 quid on the first 2 which won't get used again now
thats not good mate.
@@ForensicDetailingmine went too, the thread on the bottle is very short and too easy to overtighten and thread, then it’s useless. I bought a second bottle on Ali which I’m being very careful with but I’m sure it won’t last.
The only reason i don’t exclusively wash my car using rinseless is because it just doesn’t work as well for wheels in my opinion. It’d be much cheaper lol.
UNO advanced I haven’t had much look with it. Excellent to apply and buff but Within a month it’s showing zero protection on there. Prepped well, applied well, left to cure, bad batch I dunno but heard others say the same. 🤷♂️
I doubt its bad batch mate. who knows it may be gone but the problem is we tend to judge by water repellency which can get masked a bit. But from testing it lasts longer than any AIO Ive seen so far.
What do you think of Collinite 476?
Good wax
What’s the difference between a ‘citrus’ prewash and something like touchless. I thought they would be one of the same?
citus contains limonene a natural solvent derived from orange skin.
@@ForensicDetailing okay thanks. Is one better than the other for the job then? Or do they have specific uses?
What is that Turtle Wax that you like in the blue bottle called?
dry and shine mate
I don't recall seeing the Turtle Wax Hybrid Dry and Shine Rinse Wax Sealant and Protection on the shelves in the USA, i will go out today and take a closer look, otherwise I will see if there is an identitical product.
@paulamegadya1451 I know over here in the UK, turtle wax stopped the dry and shine in the blue bottle. Shame as it was perfect for winter as it was cheap but effective. The seal and shine here in the uk also took a backwards step at the same time. 2 products that both meant turtle wax gained a new following in the UK.
a 5-gallon of any Rinseless wash that can be diluted 256:1 is order of magnitudes the most cost effective product in detailing.
not when 5 litres of car shampoo diluted at 1:2000 costs 12 quid.
@@ForensicDetailing which car shampoo recommends 2000:1 dilution? I'm definitely getting that. EDIT: nvm, it just realized it's B-H, my bad.
BH does yes. But the Car Chem 1900:1 is the one I was thinking off although it not quiet 1:2000 lol :)
The purple flex pads remind me of buff and shine's maroon pads in texture/courseness.
Where are you saying you can get an MJJC for £40?
try in2detailing with discount code forensic. its gone up since the video but I think its close
Just look at the state of that wallet! Is that from overspending or stuffing it with cash? Maybe it's one you got from your parents for your 18th birthday? Just jesting with you John. If you are thinking of updating you could consider one of these minimalist ones. I changed to one of these several months ago (I don't want to advertise but it begins with "Ek..."). A forensic review may even be appropriate :)
:) :) :) im really fussy with wallets I found a replacement eventually. I only want 2 piece centre fold. In brown smooth leather and it cannot have any logo on it. i did video on it on the unplugged channel i think
I agree. Ridge wallets changed my life
They must of heard about your review, CarChem 1900:1 shampoo is now £33 for 5 litres 😮
wait for black friday sale mate. it will drop again hopefully/
@@ForensicDetailing and buy just enough to last until the next sale 😂👍
Mitchell and King Kensington microfibres, 20 quid for 12 makes them a general work towel but they are much better than that, one of the softest towels I’ve ever bought including ones that cost 5 times as much. Bargain of the century
its 24 quid for 12 thats 2 quid a towel. Thats like standard detailing retail price (which is a good price) but if you buy from say paragone or ali express you pay wholesale price of about 50p.
@@ForensicDetailingprice checked today £2.49 each, 12 pack is £20 or a box of 120 £179. In packs of 12 that’s cheaper than Imrans yellow, and they are much softer. There is a place for general mf like interiors etc, point is these are the quality of towel you would use for final buffing that you normally pay a lot more for.
imrans yellows are korean split pile microfiber. These are chinese coral fleece towels that you can buy on alibaba m8.
Don’t know why you constantly leave out Autosmart, I thought you were impartial.
Tardis was in there mate. The rest of its not that cheap and most of the cleaning chems have some NAOH in them.
@@ForensicDetailingPlease forgive me for asking, but what does NAOH stand for?
sodium hydroxide
@@ForensicDetailingSounds corrosive to me. I'll look it up. Thanks for the quick reply Jon.

You have too much product. I thought the topic was ‘best, and high quality’.
Not ‘high quantity’
You should move on 80% of what you have.
having loads of product is just the nature of doing detailing channel on you tube. your right though if I didnt have the channel a lot of this would go. perhaps keeping just my container chems
Wow😍Thank you
I always enjoy your singing and your sense of humor Jon🫡. Hoping Lola is doing great 👍👍
