    Missing audiojack is a big NO..NO... for me...hate to bring dongle or whatever...also dont like wireless earphone.....yet the rest is beautiful for me.....why removing audio jack become a trend now...🤦‍♂️ i had an eye on this one from long time....but the more dongle...i am not sure anylonger 😅

    • @NasiLemakTech
      @NasiLemakTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea that audio jack is really polarizing. Some users are okay with not having it, whereas some users really need it.
      Still, there's no reason for ASUS to remove it.

    • @rezajd6646

      NasiLemakTech yes there is. This is called competition. The other company pays you the money to remove the jack so they can sell their product otherwise all ppl would have bought this model.

      Actually i was hype thw first time i saw this..then i knew this audiojack thing..and dongle...then my interest dropped really hard....😁.....well ok...back to original plan...spectre x360 15"....at least i have complete IO plus numpad

    I got a windows machine within this week and my only gripe is the display panel considering its AMD and most AMD machines with an ultra book config do not have good panel for reasons that are unbeknownst to me. But with that said, and having used Windows after 3 years of departing from all the bugs, i am pleasantly surprised and Bluetooth is not an issue and i am talking cross platform because i am using Airpods.

    • @NasiLemakTech
      @NasiLemakTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have to agree with you. Despite AMD hardware for laptops improved so much, it's still being treated as second-class and rarely gets packaged in a nice, premium laptop.

    hi, i'm having trouble deciding between the asus zenbook 14 UX433 and UX425....which of the two would you recommend? is there any big difference between the two?

    • @NasiLemakTech
      @NasiLemakTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The UX433 is really old at this point in time though. About 2-3 years old. Getting the UX425... the biggest differences is - of course - performance and also battery life, and also its thinnest. However, the UX433 does have an audio jack whereby you'll need a separate dongle for the UX425.

    Graphics card any good if I use it to store and view photos? Also, I took a look at the i5 and Ryzen 5 version (UM), seems to have a slightly different chassis between the two, the UM was slightly thicker and the screen didn't fold back as much as the UX. The UM's the price tag was about RM500 cheaper, but it doesn't come with Thunderbolt 3 ports, but I wonder what else differs? Now that the 11th gen has launched, that adds another variant to the equation.

    • @NasiLemakTech
      @NasiLemakTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah, you have excellent observation and is aware of what's happening. So here's the shortest summary for you - buy the UM version. Don't bother about the hinge or thickness.
      As for 11th Gen, I think there's a price premium to pay for it. Also, Intel didn't make it mandatory to disclose the maximum operating wattage, which creates performance discrepancy between laptops even though they're using the same chipset.
      We did another video diving deeper into the differences between the two chipsets here:
      th-cam.com/video/f6seOD3QgOQ/w-d-xo.html
      Very nerdy video, lots of numbers and lots of proof. From what I know, the 11th Gen version of this exact same ZenBook 14 is also running at 15W max only.

      Yeah... Intel isn't making it easier to us to understand and remember too 😂
      This laptop uses the 10th Gen Intel chip which is based on Ice Lake, which uses the new Intel Iris Plus Graphics.
      But the performance... is still not as good as AMD's Ryzen 5 4500U for example.

    So, why is the port selection "controversial", but Macbooks have been doing this for years (2 usb-c ports). A USB-C hub is easy to toss in a bag. Problem solved.

    • @NasiLemakTech
      @NasiLemakTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Audio jack my man. Not about the USB-C ports.
      MacBooks still have audio jacks and don't require you to sacrifice a Thunderbolt 3 port for audio.

    Hi really liked your video. Would you recommend this one over the Acer swift 5. Both are light weight and portable and good for office work. Which one you would recommend? Thanks a lot. Lovely channel.

    • @NasiLemakTech
      @NasiLemakTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks!
      I reviewed the Acer Swift 5 before too - and I have to say, the Swift 5 sacrifices in build quality for the sake of less weight. The trackpad on the Acer Swift 5 sucks, though.
      However, the Acer Swift 5 comes with an NVIDIA MX250 - which is not entirely useful for office work.
      Battery life is... pretty average.
      In comparison, the ZenBook 14 UX425 is laser focused on being a laptop for office work. Long battery life, great keyboard, great trackpad, and aluminium body. But, the lack of an audio jack is an issue if you want to use meetings and whatnot.
