It’s weird, my marriage ended this year and I felt so lonely during our marriage. But now I’ve moved to the other side of the world and I’m all alone, yet I don’t feel lonely. In fact I feel happy. I think my loneliness came from craving that external love and attention whereas now I’m not relying on anyone and it’s just me. So I can focus on what I want and need and I don’t feel lonely anymore. I wish I could explain it more eloquently.

Absolutely, you can be alone physically but feel happy and fulfilled because you are at peace with yourself. There's nothing lonelier than being unhappy with someone, I think happy solitude is one of the most beautiful things 💖

Hi Jessica. I have a daily battle with self doubt! Probably because everything I've thrown my heart and soul into (a TH-cam channel; a handmade clothing business; being a writer...) has failed. So I'm never sure what I should be doing. Do I give up? Do I keep trying? How long for? I dunno!
Yes go for the bag! It looks beautiful and will go with everything. :)

I have been with my partner for 42 years he is a kind man who loves me and yet I feel lonely. This feeling of loneliness has been with since I was a little girl. I wonder is this feeling of loneliness a figment of my imagination on how my ideal perfect world should be in my mind. Kind of me being a casting agent looking for the perfect character and location in my world.

Thank you for sharing... I no longer have due to a hysterectomy when I was 35..but the menopause tarted early as I wasn't given any hormone replacement...till a few years later then they stopped due too the scares of effects....then they said probably not worth you going back on...due to age ...50. I am now 58. Andi have had the tropical flushes. For about 10 years..they are tiring... draining..just recently or since lockdown. I've been at home with my husband. I am his fulltime carer...his health he suffered ... bypass and two strokes...I have spoken to people I don't go anywhere much one a month I go spend a good few hours with my daughter and granddaughter...it's wonderful...x...I feel like I know many people.....but so lonely....one days I cry ...I scream....inside ..
I also lot my big sister in March...to cancer...only told just 35 days beforehand...💔.
I have comfort eating...and really unhappy with myself...but cannot seem to find the motivation to get back on track...
Sorry...this is probably not related to anyone of your question...😥😥😥..but many thanks for listening. X

I agree about loneliness and the pandemic. I’m in my early 30s and live alone. Even though I’m an introvert I’ve been feeling a bit lonely recently. Before the pandemic, I was dating but now have completely lost my enthusiasm for that for some reason.
I’m sad about the Queen’s passing too. She will be missed by so many
    Love your videos! 😊

Omg I have been feeling this way exactly. Not knowing what to do and feeling kind of lost. Loneliness for sure too. I’m not really sure why.
I live across the pond and I was very saddened by the news of HM’s passing as well. I viewed her as sort of the “World’s Grandmother” and I think it will take some time for it to sink in. My condolences to you as well.

Hi Jess, I so am into the September-autumn-feels here too. Somehow I've been feeling low, a bit melancholic even. It's new to me because I love LOVE fall, the smells, the colder temperatures, the beautiful colors etc. But I've just felt low, emotional, sad. I also relate to feeling lonely. I can't really bring into words why, but I relate. And that feels strange too, since I'm a family here with my boyfriend and our little son. But somehow I feel low hearted lately. Big hug for you and for us all feeling this way!

I have two dogs. One is a fluffy little cavachon. The other a Romanian rescue who has a number of issues so he’s not for the faint hearted. The lil cavachon Gizmo goes to my parents when we’re away but the Rommie Link has to go to the kennels as he’s way too much of a handful for most people. But I’m always worried about him when he’s there.

Hi Jess, You've probably already done a video on loneliness before but i find it really fascinating. I'v been thinking about this for quite a few months now so when you mentioned it i thought YES lets talk about this. Its kind of a weird one for me because i'm not lonely but feel ALONE. I live alone and have done for about 5 years. I see people every single day as i work 2 jobs and i see my family nearly every single day yet i still ALONE. I actually work with my niece everyday so its a weird one for me. I feel more alone around this time of year. I guess its because we're coming into the darker side of the year. I find myself travelling home on the bus in the evenings looking into people houses and seeing families all together looking cosy. Its like they have each other yet i have no one. When families have their lamps on and they are watching telly together i feel even more alone but not lonely. Its very strange. Please do a video on this Jess its so fascinating and can be most helpful for others. Have a great week. x

Remote working has been a big shift for many, so many great perks but I miss those easy chats with colleagues!

I’m always around 28-32 days but what’s weird for me this month is 10 days of menstruation… 😑 not impressed lol. In other news, there have been tears here for the passing of the Queen. It feels so surreal and in some ways like losing a Grandma. I’d have loved to have visited London to pay respects and it’s nice to see that you’ve been able to do that 🥰 Look forward to catching up with you for a proper natter soon, SO happy these cooler autumn days are here now! x

Hello Jessica. Your period has probably ended now, but the same thing happened to me this cycle. It has always been 28 days, but this month it started on day 23! And we're at the same age. Maybe it's about changing seasons. Maybe we're getting old 😊 But I think having strange periods occasionally is just a normal thing. We cannot know what our bodies are reacting to. I also struggle with loneliness and anxiety a lot. I'm sending you my best wishes!

However I have recently dropped a day and now do a 4 day week which is fantastic. My hours are sociable and I work with a nice team of people. I still feel a little stale and need the confidence to step out of my comfort zone.

Do you think maybe the feeling of loneliness, or even if not even specifically loneliness but maybe just separateness from other humans, could have come from all the division surrounding covid idea wise and judging each other wise, to the point that now you don't know who's going to suddenly start ghosting or gaslighting you if you happen to disagree? I feel like that has done a lot of psychological damage in our societies. Do you think maybe so? There is definitely a very real feeling of I don't know who really has my back in the world right now. Makes me sad.

I agree. It also comes in the midst of a lot of political debate. I've found myself going from one camp to the other in the past decade and it's left me not knowing who I agree with anymore. And that means basically everyone feels like I'm "from the other camp" because I try to nuance what they say and to show them arguments from the other side. It feels lonely...

I think it could be early menopause. Also many people have had problems after the vaccines. They have either lost their period, had it twice a month and i heard one person has had her period for a year...
I don`t know if you took the vaccines, but it could be that. I am soon 52 years so i am pre menopause, but on the pill and off i nearly always had my period on day 28 or 29. The times i went over i was stressed or it was sadness, emotional stuff that would make the period late. If it happens again, maybe make a doctors appointment and check if it is early menopause or something else.

Have you had your hormone levels checked? I know that you’ve been going through some weird medical stuff (at least I think I remember you saying something to that affect - you mentioned hair thinning). I started to have issues - hair thinning, periods were completely different than my usual and absolutely militant usual period etc. It turned out that I had PCOS, thyroid issues and was in peri menopause. I had to have a complete hysterectomy. I’m wondering if it has to do with your hormones? I hope that doesn’t scare you, I just hope that you get a chance to have it checked out. As far as feeling lonely, my husband was in the military for 20 years and I worked for many many years all while raising our kiddos (many times by myself for 7 months at a time). Two of my kids have grown and left the nest and I quit my job when I had my surgery. I appreciate not having to work but I miss the socialization of coworkers, so yes…I’m feeling a bit lonely myself. I hope that you have a great rest of your week.

I feel lonely as the person I see casually has children (mine is 22) and he still keeps a 'family' home with his estranged wife. But it is unbelievably hard to cope with. Also, loneliness is not apparent when you go out and about, people seem to hide it very well and always look happy and busy. You end up feeling on the outside. All three of my siblings are married. I have no doubt they have their ups and downs, but they seem to work as a team. No doubt they envy me in some ways too! PS I'm just wondering if the shock of the Queen's death upset you and knocked your cycle out of kilter. Could well be that.
