Even if her village gets burnt to the ground, her husband died fighting and defending their village from foreign invaders. Even if her family and people gets eradicated, her culture and language erased along with her way of life. All that she knows, gone. Years ago I went to the bar with my girlfriend and we met this older white gay guy who was big in his church, he like did accounting for them and made a great living. He was drunk and explained to us how he hated flamboyant gay people because he wasn’t like that, he was quiet about it because it could cost him his job. And that he hated interracial dating yet told us he had an Asian boyfriend but he just hides the relationship from the world. Now that’s different because the people were talking about in this video don’t hide their relationship but it’s wild people can be so contradictory. My Asian American Studies professors were married to white women. Even if most of your colleagues are Asian and nonwhite, you assimilate to the norms of the majority, which means academia (which is white) and the society at large.

I think what it comes down to is that the activists who regularly chastise the position white people hold today in society; clearly yearn for whatever racial background they actually belong to, to be in the position of power white people are (as the activists see it) abusing. They’ll never be white themselves & get to experience society through the dominant white lens, so this is like the next best thing to them. They’ll probably NEVER admit it tho. I’m sure there’s a bunch of other reasons but yeah this one sticks out to me. It’s kind of like status/caste system if you think about it; the activists want to move up in the social caste system (& would love to bring their ethnic group along with them but can’t) & marrying a white person allows that, even if they disapprove of the oppressive tactics from the past/present used against their own ethnic group, by their white spouses/partners ethnic group. To sum it up, they could be hypocrites. Or perhaps as you stated in the video they just simply view their partner as one of the good ones. I come from a pretty diverse area on the East Coast, am I minority, & noticed this phenomenon as well for years now. At the end of the day, power and privilege are desirable and attraction is not colour blind. finally, media and politics are very white dominated so non white people in those spaces might just be operating in majority white dating pools.

Willingness to join new groups probably enhanced individual survival odds. Being attracted to someone with a different genetic profile (right down to subconsciously perceived smells) probably enhanced immune systems, etc. Hatred for other societies and tribes (collectively) probably improved tribal survival. We often probably don’t consciously realize what our underlying motivations are. So they can be logically inconsistent but situationally useful. People are ‘opportunistic’ because our hominid ancestors were, even before language.

We are in a majority white country. If you go to Japan, there are Japanese structures in place. We are literally called minorities because we are in the minority. It’s not good or bad, it just is. It will likely change over time.

I dont think its about hating white people, I think theyre speaking more about the power structure and backwards thinking bigoted people which leans a specific way. I know everyone is just trying to get a piece of the pie (a fair share). Its mostly class warfare (the haves vs the have nots). I have close friends that are black, white, latino, asian, middle eastern, indian.... pretty much all races. Im South African black and half white and my best friend is white from Sweden. Im from a black African family and never knew my white side... I lean more black than white. All my friends talk mad shit about the power structure holding back all people from advancing equally. All my white friends think similarly to me and they have just as much and in most cases major gripes with their own race because of backwards thinking and the power structure that tends to makes them look bad... even when they are against it. Its about aligning with people that see the world for what it is and building a community of all races that are in it for each other. Im pretty positive most people mentioned in this video dating outside of their race are involved with people that see the world in the same way they do.

I once read a blog post titled, "On overlapping bell curves and the irony of being an outsider," which commented on this at the very end. According to it, "outliers" of a group get along with other groups better than the "normies" of that group. (Read the post for definition.) It's an interesting take from a statistical-social point of view.
one take that i don't promote but to bring another angle is to imagine if you were the partner that got chosen based on activism, not attraction. Some sort of dating within your race out of race guilt, the partner being chosen out of race guilt might resent their partner, not appreciate their sacrifice. For example, if an asian women chose to marry me out of race guilt instead of her genuine attraction to white men, if that be the case, i would personally resent her. Imagine if kobe married a black woman out of his parents principles instead of vanessa, i think the black wife would've had a mix of thankfulness, resentment, and self loathing that may be unhealthy for both of them

To me, #6 makes sense.
I think this is based on a false premise from the very beginning. None of these people/activists/politicians are "anti-white." The initial premise that they are all "Critical Race Theory" supporters and anti-white in agenda is just a basic falsehood from the get go. Acknowledging minority disadvantages or supporting minority causes doesn't make you anti-white. So from the very beginning, this whole argument basically falls apart.
I’ve followed AOC since before she was in Congress. She is not anti-white. Her hero was a white male.. Bernie Sanders. Because she is critical of racist white guys she deals with daily doesn’t mean she hates all white men.
Lastly her husband is her long time partner she met in college.. a college that is mostly white.
