When my daughter was 8 years old, we were listening to the BeeGee’s ‘Too Much Heaven’ in the car & she said: “Dad, when I get married would you dance this song with me?” I told her that I would. “You promise? Yes, I promise you.” Dad kept his promise to his beautiful daughter almost 20 years later. On New Years Eve 2019, I danced the Father of the Bride & Bride’s dance with my daughter to ‘Too Much Heaven’. Promise kept.
Everyone raves on Barry but Maurice and Robin provide the substance that allows him to shine. Great singers, writers and performers over almost 40yrs. RIP those that have past. Now you have reached heaven and climbed the mountain.
The Bee Gees were the Best. Their voices were absolutely beautiful, especially Barry and his falsetto. You don't hear voices like this today. So gifted, so talented and pure raw talent. No auto tune, no yelling and screaming, they Just could sing and the Harmony was ridiculous! Amazing, amazing voices from God!❤❤😊😊❤❤😊😊
I love to see all these reaction videos to the Bee Gees by folks that have not heard them before ....... most of you are almost if not brought to tears and always shocked . They were one in a billion .
The 70’s was the greatest decade of music. It had it all and just about everything on the radio was awesome. R&B, rock, hard rock, disco, it was all there.
These guys donated all the royalties of this song to the children of the world through UNICEF and it was a num er o e. Gave millions to them Beautiful family inside and out. Also Barry Gibb and his wife will be married 50years on Sept 1st. Also his birthday so no excuses to forget. LOL
Hreat reaction! Yes indeed, effortless!! When you can just stand there with your hands on your hips....that's effortless!! 3 voices that sound as one; one microphone and a full orchestra.......phenomenal!!
The general public didn't realize how incredibly talented the Bee Gee's were because much of the industry downplayed disco music for many decades. Now, what do you think about them? I grew up in 70's loving the Bee Gee's because I grew up in a family of musicians and singers knowing just how difficult it is to sing at this level. Their harmonies are incredible, and I have yet, to hear anyone or group with their level of ability. Sadly, Barry is the only Bee Gee to still be alive. I play their music almost daily. They are incredible.
The BeeGee's weren't downplayed until the late 70's and early 80's during the 'disco sucks' movement. After that, they wrote for other performers like Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Parton. They had an album called 'Living Eyes' in 1981 the met with mixed reviews, but came back with an album in 1987 called 'ESP' which was pretty good. Barry Gibb was performing with his brothers before they died and strained his back so bad singing falsetto that he no longer is capable of singing in the higher registers. He sill performs though. Personally, I like the songs they did in the '60's. 'I started a joke' and 'Massachusetts' are my favorites.
I love how emotional this young Lady becomes during the Harmonies The sign of a good heart Beautiful outside Beautiful inside It Makes me feel Good inside to see her react that way
I hope Barry is on you tube seeing these reactions from young people and see how much he and his brothers can STILL move people with their talent. The BeeGees were a gift to us and will continue to be, always. Robyn and maurice, the twin brothers on either side are no longer living and they lost their younger brother, Andy Gibb, tragically very young, 26 I think. He was a solo singer.
That was the late 70s and the Disco Era. I was 18 years old when that song came out. The Bee Gees were featured on the movies Soundtrack of Saturday Night Fever. WE EXPERIENCED REAL LOVE IN THOSE DAYS.
Barry, the one in the middle who's the oldest, is singing falsetto. He is known to be one of the best falsettos. But his natural voice is wonderful as well. Women swooned when he sang.
Oh yeah his looks definitely had "us" swooning. The man is gorgeous and you put him in all white or all black or a pair of great fitting jeans and you will have swooning women. He always was easy on the eyes. His Voice vote talking or singing Just heightened excitement. Dang they were a great group all three of them we're incredibly sexy stimulating men.
yeah he kind of reminded me of tom jones in the way that all of the women fell at his feet. hey i certainly can't blame them. man he is one handsome devil with a killer voice. there probably were a few guys that felt the same way lol!

I was blessed to grow up in this generation. I saw them in 78 at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. They kicked off disco summer nights. It was the most amazing concert of my life to this day. At the end Robin, Maurice and Barry did 3 solo’s and signed autographs. It was low key as there was only 1200 people in attendance. I believe it was a last minute thing on the part of Busch Gardens so there’re wasn’t any advertising. Those of us that happened to be there were treated to a life moment. Quite simply, magical. In the United States, the song was the first single out of three from the album to interrupt a song's stay at #1. "Too Much Heaven" knocked "Le Freak" off the top spot for two weeks before "Le Freak" returned to #1 again.[1] "Too Much Heaven" also rose to the top three in the United Kingdom. In the US, it would become the fourth of six consecutive No. 1s, equalling the record set by Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, and the Beatles for the most consecutive No. 1 songs. The 6 Bee Gee songs are "How Deep Is Your Love", "Stayin' Alive", "Night Fever", "Too Much Heaven", "Tragedy" and "Love You Inside Out". The songs spanned the years of 1977, 1978 and 1979. Robin Gibb looks so cool in this video. He has his hands on his hips like saying "Oh well another day at the studio''

Progressive Rock Bands like Yes and Supertramp, as well. :)
