It's an emotional song for me, too. I couldn't listen to this song for over a year after my wife died. She passed away from a sudden stroke two years ago in June. We were married for almost 23 years, and I'll never get over her, and she can never be replaced.

Gen X here. All I can say is that not caring so much what peers think is as important as ever. It's not easy but gets easier with age. Value yourself enough to have a relationship that will treat your value with respect and dignity. And showing emotions isn't weak it's human and real.

As a happily Married Man of 23 years, I can say : Don't drop your guard or standards. Don't give it away, and be straight about what you want. Only with standards will you get a good one. Quality takes a good minute. You deserve to be loved in the way this song expresses love, when you love back the same way.
You will get more emotional if you listen to "How Deep is your Love", one of the most beautiful songs by the Bee Gees, and an all time favorite for me.

Girl, do not even TRY to hold it in! I have for OVER 50 years CRIED at this song EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! THE LORD gave me my heart and tear ducts and I am going to use them! I have heard ALL of the music from the 40's to the year 2000! I have heard and lived the BEST music ever created in America during MY ERA!!! SORRY, but GEN Z will NEVER cut it, they are lost in their own closed up world!

The real music of the 60s, 70s, 80s needs to be played all the time, along with other harmonius songs you can sing to, good church music too, throw out the trash called "music" since!!!!

Your face when they started singing was just brilliant. You were really shocked and rightly so. The Bee Gees are primarily songwriters with over 1000 credits for 100's of top artists. They don't get the recognition in the USA that they deserve and you need to check out their back catalogue.
please do more from the Bee Gees. at one point in 1978 5 of the 6 biggest songs in the US were written or sung by Barry Gibb!! But life issues would hurt this fabulous family.

This band the Bee Gees, was a huge influence on my and my husband and I have been married for 46 years, and as we were falling in love, this music just cemented what we believed in. I was 18 my husband was 21, and we are even more in love now. We have raised our children, who are really good guys, the both have long lasting marriages, and 6 grandchildren. We have been very blessed by God and Jesus, they are first in our lives, our foundation. and we have stood on this foundation our entire adult lives. You too will find that perfect someone for your life, start praying him in, you will be amazed who he has for you! Good luck sweetheart, stay faithful to Jesus, He will be faithful to you!

Not trying to be nitpicky, but for the sake of clarity, this is a lip sync. However, you are right in that this is an example of their raw voices, it's just from the original studio recording. They really are this good all on their own! Antares didn't release AutoTune until the 90's!

I'm 73 and I grew up on the BeeGee. They were the absolute best. You don't find music like them these days. I wish I had a chance to see them in concert. But that won't happen now because Barry is the only brother alive. But you won't find better band. Try listening to more songs of them you will love them.

I think this is the most perfect love song ever written. I also like to think that Barry (middle singer and oldest brother) is singing this to his wife, Linda. They have now been married for 54 years and have 5 children and multiple grandchildren. If you see pictures of them now, they look as much in love as they did when they got married. Sometimes I cry when I listen to this song because it brings up memories of lost love. Also, the Bee Gees donated all of the royalties to this song, written in 1977, to UNICEF to help children of the world. The write all of their own music from melody, lyrics, orchestration to recording and performing it. They have also written songs for Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Dionne Warwick, Celine Dione, Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers, etc, A truly talented group of brothers who have been singing and performing together since they were kids. That is why they harmonize so amazingly.

I travel to be with my beautiful partner I travel 20 mins to be with her, now she move to Windsor 45 mins and now by 31/2 hrs drive or by train 4 to 5 hrs I am happy in love so to be with her you have to follow yr heart ❤ no guy will do this always truefull to her, there are words which I touched her heart and cry with happiness a great feeling inside ❤❤.
