- Come join Sam and I as we show why Porcini is the top Italian restaurant in Louisville. Stick around for the exclusive interview with owned, Tim Coury. You don’t want to miss this one!
Hello Goodall! This is Kyle, the youngin that you mentioned in the last video. When my pops arrived home and said he had something to show me, the LAST thing I thought it'd be was him on your channel. I showed him your channel and the next day, he runs into you. God works in MYSTERIOUS ways. The mention and get well wishes brought a different type of smile to my face... that means a lot to me. I'm so grateful and appreciative of the invite to eat with you. I'm feeling a bit better so we'll have to plan something for the next week or two. I may not be able to keep up with you, but I'll do what I can haha. The comments mean the world! Please keep what you're doing, truly making a difference in the local community. You're the man!
Oh wow! I just commented that before watching and noticed the mention again. Thanks again for that Goodall! It is so awesome to know there are people like you in the nearby area. You deserve EVERY bit of success that has come and will come your way
Looking very forward to seeing you in an upcoming video Kyle. Hope you are feeling much better. 🙏❤️🩹🙏
@@capone9404 thank you so much for the kind words. I’m really glad you are doing better. I’ll message you dad next week and see how you’re doing and start thinking about the best day for you to join me on a review. You might end up with quite a few fans before it’s over. lol!!
Kyle, I am big Goodall fan and have been praying for you like all the others. So glad to see this post from you. God Bless and may he continue to heal you. We will see you soon on Mr. Goodlall's channel very soon I am sure.
The National Treasure cleans up awfully nice the Golden Girls are going to be coming out of the woodwork after this one 🙏
lol! He wouldn’t mind that one but.
Sam reminds me of Johnny Cash in his later days. I just wonder if he looked like JC in his younger days as well. Anyways another great review, keep it up Barry. P.S. All three of those dishes had me salivating, chicken marsala is one of my favorite dishes, and so is the clam linguine in wine sauce.
Yes, Clam Linguine. I live two blocks away from a really good Italian restaurant. Normally I like the Tortellini Alla Crema or Veal Francesca. But now I really have a taste for Clam Linguine and I know they have it. The problem is they are only open 3 days a week, they don't take reservations, people start lining up an hour before they open... It's Crazy....
Where is that!
Now that you said that, he did resemble JC when he was young.
Prayers for your dad and Kyle. Good to see Tim give back to the community and sorry for his loss. Everything looked good thanks for another great review!!!
Thank you. I thought it was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I ever had.
My dad calls you a professional eater. He is in his 80’s. Enjoy your channel and how you showcase local restaurants. I am a new subscriber. My son and his family live outside of Bardstown and I am looking forward to visiting some of the restaurants you went to. My mom passed away 2 years ago and something she would regularly say after eating is I am full as a tick. I’m sure it’s a common saying but it brought a smile to my face when I heard you say it at the end of one of your videos. She was the only person I had heard say it until you. God Bless you and your family.
Full as a tick is an old timers saying. My mom use to say it all the time. Let me know after your visit and let me know some of the places you visit. Thanks for joining my channel.
Back home buddy from Gratlibuurg watching you and the NT. You guys looked great in sport jackets and enjoying the wonderful food. Great interview with the owner. I love Italian buddy. Thank you so much much brother. I will be waiting for the next production buddy. Thanks again Barry!
Glad you enjoyed it. I have videos ready for tomorrow and Wednesday. Wednesday is a really good one.
Hope your Dad continues to improve. Great to see the National Treasure out with you. Great review. Thanks Barry!
Thanks 👍
Looked so delicious. One thing I miss is going out to eat in nice restaurants. I live vicariously through your shows. I can still cook though, so sometimes thr food inspires me too fix dishes. I see on here. God bless you and your family. Still praying for your dad.
Thank you so much.
Thank you for no Pitino jokes
I don’t do negative on my channel.

Thank you Bill. If I had a hundred like you I’d be unstoppable.
you and the national treasure lookin sharp with your blazers and hair all done up! the italian dishes looks great! awesome review
Thanks so much!! I have a funny story about that jacket I’m going to tell sometime.
I get excited for every new episode. Thanks for this timeless content. You and The National Treasure are the perfect duo. You two look sharp! Glad your father is getting better! I miss mine 🥲. Rest in peace to Mr. Adam N. "Ace" Coury... He looks like he was a good man.
Adam is a Louisville legend. Especially in our local Lebanese-American community.
Good to see The National Treasure ☺️...
Yes indeed!
Haters can hate all they want, but you have introduced our family to places we would’ve never known about, you hit a few we already knew were good, and so thankful you are bringing crowds into these places. The “Goodall Effect”. It’s really special to see your channel grow and folks from out of town can see these places and put them on their list, both in Louisville or within a short, usually beautiful drive. Maybe I missed it, but have you been to that German place up in Jasper, Indiana yet? If you have, please reply with the link. Thanks for what you do!
I have been to a German place in Jasper many years ago. It’s probably the same one you’re thinking of. I don’t remember the name. One of my closest friends lives in Jasper and we have discussed going there for a review. It’s going to happen probably in the summer.
The Power of Prayer is Amazing. Especially when it seems like everyone else is praying for your demise and trying to kick you when you're down. That's when you realize Who you're True friends are...
Amen to that!
That was definitely some top shelf food! I enjoyed the National Treasure's history lesson as always. Great review Gentlemen.
Glad you enjoyed it! I told Sam I thought that was our best work he and I have done together.
Another great video Barry! National Treasure was a pleasure to see again. Gonna have to drive up from Knoxville to check this place out. And of course many thoughts and prayers for Kyle's healing Amen!! See ya on the next one brother.
Thank you so much for the prayers.
Another great video Barry food looked delicious, love the natural treasure.
Glad you enjoyed it!! NT was great!
Gotta love Sam’s appearances and history lessons when he is able to join you Barry. 😀👍 His expressions and comments when you clean your plates are priceless. 😂 You both looked rather snazzy doing this fine dining video. 🕺 Keep up the great work!
Thank you. Sam is really a National Treasure isn’t he?
Porcini is the best👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 I'm so glad your father is so much better and Kyle can't wait to see you on the next vlog when get better.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thanks so much! I’m sure he will be a smash hit!
SAM LOOKS SO EXCITED 😆 JUST TO SEE YOU TAKE THAT FIRST BITE OUT OF THAT CHICKEN CARBONARA 😅
He always likes watching my reactions when he takes me places he likes.
Calamary lol everything looks amazing and I’ve only been a couple times many years ago and looking forward to going back. Was cool to hear the story about Bravo Pitinos and meeting the owner. Stay the way you are and you’ll go far!
Thank you. I thought that was one of my better reviews. Sam and the owner really added great content.
Great review, nice place! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
What a great installment. I try and only patronize small business and what that proprietor does with a portion of his profits commendable, hope others do as well. Great seeing National Treasure...Derby time, you need a shot with him in same dinner jacket and the handkerchief sipping a mint julip with pink raised like that....LMAO. Great stuff there...keep it up.
I’ll keep going as long as you keep watching. Pinkies up!
Everything after 25 minutes brought tears to my eyes 👀.
I’m glad you liked it. I thought it was a very great interview.
Prayers
Thank you!
I laughed so hard at you sneaking the bottle of hot sauce out 🤣🤣🤣
Gotta love that Grace!
@@goodallscountrykitchen go no place without the grace!
@@mikegeary7319 never!
@goodallscountrykitchen Im gonna have to try grace hot sauce out. Valentina hot sauce has always been my favorite but I'm always looking to try new ones
@@mikegeary7319 you’ll love Grace!
Wishing your dad a speedy recovery and sending you and your family all the best across the great pond - from two of your fans (my wife and I) in Gothenburg, Sweden. Tusen tack, Goodall's Country Kitchen!
Thank you so much! Did you watch the Sustromming Challenge video?
@@goodallscountrykitchen we did now, sir! (Just discovered your channel about a month ago, so still catching up with all your lovely vids). Fun to watch, I've moved to Sweden about 8 years ago and still haven't tried it - just cause none of my Swedish friends want to join me on that, for real! Kinda like Rocky Mountain Oysters that thing here, or tongue, or tripe - the young generation doesn't eat it (fools). In any case, just wanted to add how much my wife n I love your approach to supporting little businesses - whenever we're in the US we always look out for the mom n pop places or the little neighborhood gems, so bless you for resonating with those heart strings :)
@@DonMichailo I really appreciate your input. It’s nice to hear from folks that GET what I’m doing. If you ever swing through Louisville give me a holler.
Sam got one of my favs
Sorry I did not hear about your dad's stroke, prayers for him and prayeres for Kyle to be healed. Thank you Lord in advance
Thank you for prayers. Greatly appreciated!
Really appreciate review and history lesson.
Glad you enjoyed it!
God Bless The National Treasure... Barry your OK too ha ha

Thank you so much! God Bless you and your family.
Hey yo big barry, im hungry for Italian food. Glad dad is feeling better.
Thank you. He’s doing really good.
Another Louisville connection! I’ve known Libby since she was a little girl.
No kidding? She is best friends with an old high school sweet heart of mine.
Great restaurant owner giving back to the community children
Absolutely
Get it done my dude. Y'all don't know nothin about the delicious KY food! Keep it up Barry!
You already know!
Rad Sir!

Thank you so much!
Fort Worth, Tx in the house!
Thank you for joining us!
Enjoyed the review. Another place on the list for my next trip to The Ville.
Thats the place Rick Pitino made famous, lol
For Sure!!!
Slurp that delicious sauce on up and don't worry about the nay sayers lol. I always say, "well it it's going to go to "waist", it may as well go to mine!" :)
Love that!
Btw is that Goodall's gallery in the beast of this video your kin ?
She’s my aunt. My dad’s sister, Rhonda Goodall.
😮 u took me out when u put away the grace hotsauce never stop being u sir this why ❤ ur vibes and channel respect from 205 pisces black alpha male Birmingham Alabama home of the Civil rights moment

@@goodallscountrykitchen ✊️ just don't stop being u this we watch u keep it real and raw just like you ate the oyster off the bar off someone else plate your authentic I love that about you personally 🤣🫡🤔
@@joehasberryjr7398 thank you. As far as that oyster goes. I only did what every person wants to do but too embarrassed to do it. lol!!
@@goodallscountrykitchen amen sir
Yes calamari must be lightly breaded or just sauteed. Otherwise, send it back. Been down that road
Enjoy your videos 👍 P.S you cant hide money!
Thank you! I wish I had some to hide. lol!!
When I was in the Army we only put hot sauce on food that tasted bad 😂
Bad or good for me.
Sharp-dressed men and great looking food! 😍 Sopping sauce with bread is the correct way to do it. Clean plates! Sam's comments make me laugh, but he was incorrect in saying that you were eating garbage. Lol.
lol! I didn’t even think of that angle? You’re right. He is not correct on that one by a long shot!
By the way. I have a great story about that sport coat I’ve been wearing.
Not cal-a-mari, gal-a-mod. At least in New England
THANK YOU FOR: dressing up, taking the hats off, and reviewing a more upscale venue.
I love the down home, but this is a great thing to weave in, especially as the animal bites will be that much more hilarious. I mean, your performance at the Brown was inimitable! 😂
Thank you so much. We had a great time as I’m sure you could tell. I appreciate the input.
I tell you, the whole idea of going to a nice place and eating like you do at home, is taking your humor to a new level. I laughed my guts out watching you at Porcini's! 🤣 And BTW, I'm FBI - full blooded Italian - and we eat like that when no one's lookin'! 😆
always knew you were frontin about not being fancy 😳
lol!!!
I gotta a great story about that jacket I’ve been wearing at fancy joints. You’ll love it when I reveal that one. I gotta wait for my dad to join me for that though,
@@goodallscountrykitchenthanks Coach…have you seen JL Jupiter? He did a review of a gas station with chopped cheese and tacos two weeks ago…good example of him holding all his food close up to camera…think it’s effective…sorry to bother.
@@BreatherBoy not bothering at all. Thank you!
The "white flower" in the picture is actually oyster mushrooms, not porcini.
It is a porcini mushroom photographed by the late artist Julius Friedman.
@@goodallscountrykitchen No, the photo is called "Porcini." The mushroom in the photo however is mature oyster mushrooms( pleurotus ostreatus). Porcini mushrooms (Boletus edulis) have pores on the underside of the mushroom. The photo clearly shows gills.
These 2 mushrooms are about as distinctly different as any 2 mushrooms can be.
@@Russell_Sailor I’m not gonna argue with you. The owner don’t a fortune (several thousand dollars) on that Julius Friedman piece and says it’s a Porcini mushroom.
@@goodallscountrykitchen That's only because the picture is called porcini. We're talking a f-150 vs a honda civic. It's not even close. Since you wanted to educate us on the type of mushroom, I thought you should know.
Are jackets required?
Not at all, but brought one in case. Sam wore one so I threw mine on.
My Bolognese Sauce recipe is Not for Sale at Any Price...
Is the Cheese Parmigiano Reggiano?
And I am thinking that if the name of the place is named after One of my favorite Ingredients a Mushroom, they should have a Lasagna with 5 different Cheeses and 10 different kinds of Mushrooms , and Fresh Herbs. But hey 🤔, maybe that's just Me...
WOW the ending . Stick around to the end of this video it's worth It!!!
If I had known it was going to end up like that I would have said the same thing at the beginning of the video.
Clam linguine, Now your talking...
Eye-talian??? Is that from Eye-taly?? 😆
Yes!
Hot sauce on a salad? You have gone to far! The Calamari looked perfect as did the rest of food. Hard to believe you finished two pasta dishes!
I could have easily eaten a third entree it was so good and sopped up the gravy with a fifth basket of bread.
@@goodallscountrykitchen better man then me!
And if you name your restaurant after a Mushroom should you not have more Mushrooms in your recipes. Kind of Perplexing to me...
Though I kind of agree with one sentiment I don't consider this Italian food. I am a Chef and no, Just No...
Doesn't like Italian food, And what planet are they from other than earth?!
She doesn’t like spices.
