One of the most amazing places I’ve ever been. Yes it is worth a visit, and it is a MUST that you go to the night event where they do a depiction of each culture through a story.
I went to Hawaii twice last year. Once in February and once in September. Before the first trip, I asked a friend who had spent some time there for the most authentic Polynesian experience and she advised the PCC. She was 100% right! So much to see, learn and do. Very friendly people. I went back in September and will go every chance I get.

Yes! Get the guided tour! Go to the luau! See the show! If you spend all day wondering if you are getting your money’s worth, maybe you will be more critical? But our two teenagers are opposites of each other and they both loved it. The adults in our group loved it. It added a whole extra layer of appreciation to our Hawaii trip, learning something about Polynesian culture.
Yes there are food stands before you enter the islands and snack bars located throughout the island villages. You can also eat at their Hukilau Restaurant. For dinner you can choose from the Ali'i Luau or the Gateway Buffet - both require reservations and last about 2 hrs 🌺😊
We got there closer to when they open and felt like we could have used a little more time. I know some people spend two days here. But you would probably still be able to see a lot of the things if you didn't get there until 2. You might end up missing some of the villages or their events though.
I suggest planning on two days to visit the PCC to do it justice. Get a map and make a plan to best see and enjoy visiting this place. It's such an experience that it can be overwhelming.
Great suggestion! We only spent one day here and ended up missing some of the activities/shows in the villages due to a lack of time. A second day could have been really nice.
Nice doc about the Polynesia center; And about the evening dinner luau and breath of Life Show extensions...have you checked, worth the money or island was enough...What you think about?! congrats
I enjoyed learning about the Polynesian culture, however when we discovered that this whole center was funded and run by the mormons, we were immediately repulsed. Mormons had/have nothing to do with Polynesian history or culture. They did nothing more than pollute these amazing peoples with their asinine religious fanaticism. And the workers were required to promote Mormonism in their performances. We left before the luau.
I worked at the PCC and I say it's for sure worth a visit as well!! Definitely can spend an entire day there!

Yes, I would definitely agree.
It was definitely a highlight of my trip to Hawaii, I always recommend people to go there
Definitely plan to spend the whole day at PCC. So worth it!
Going to PCC today and this video made me so excited!
Awesome! Hope you have an amazing experience! 🙂

Thank you for this! Are there other food options if you don't do the Gateway Buffet?

How long is needed to stay here? If i come in at 2pm and then buffet and show, is it ok?

So if I get the alli luau package… is the buffet free for all 3 days? Or is that 3 day pass only to visit the island villages?
I believe you can go to the Buffet and Breath of Life show once (the first day) and then you have 3 days of access to the Island Villages. 🙂

Thanks! We did the evening dinner and the Breath of Life show and really enjoyed both. I'd say it's worth it. 🙂
