You two are my favorite couple and favorite TH-camrs. Just a bundle of energy, enthusiasm, and positivity. I'm sure it's not as easy as you make it look, but you're excelling at life!
Thank you so much, Brandon! That's so nice of you to say. We really try to look at the positive side of everything. Sometimes it's hard (like in the North Shore video we'll post soon), but this comment really made our day. Thanks again! -Brian and Isa
Brings back so many wonderful memories for me! I cannot wait to go back & let more of my family experience this too. Hawaii has & always will have a place in my heart. Such a wonderful culture, and the people are amazing. My little piece of heaven for sure.
Yes! We totally agree. This was a baby-moon trip for us, and we actually named our son Kai after the Hawaiian word for ocean. We can't wait to bring him there so he can experience it for himself.
My mother and I got to Oahu Dec 2018 to visit with my sister who just happened to live nearby and right across from the Temple. We spent an entire day at the PCC and it was the most fantastic thing we have ever seen. I honestly believe if anywhere in the world I would encourage anyone to visit, this would be the top of the list.
Absolutely agree. We can't wait to go back and experience more of the island. Does your sister still live there? What a great excuse for you to keep going back to visit more. :) -Brian
Great job on the video, thank you! Was there about 16 years ago when we pulled into Pearl Harbor and went to the dinner show. I didn't realize there was so much there to do. Will plan on spending a whole day there soon.
Thanks so much. Have fun at PCC - it's such an amazing place. We actually didn't get to Pearl Harbor when we were on the island. Next time, that'll be our top priority. -Brian

I have many fond childhood memories from here and you helped bring them back! I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing all your other videos! Arigato gozaimasu for sharing! 😊
Hi Yuki! Thank you so much for your kind words and your support! We really appreciate it. Glad you were able to visit as a child and that we could bring back some fun memories. Hopefully we can go back soon and bring our young son so he can make some memories there, too. Hope you're doing well. Take care! -Brian
We are going to here in about an hour, my wife booked it and I honestly had no idea what to expect. After watching your video I am so excited - Mahalo!
I really really appreciated this video! I feel like I didn’t really understand the PCC until I watched this video, and now I understand the pricing of the different packages too. It looks so amazing, and definitely something that should be done for at least a day, if not more, which I didn’t understand either. This is going to be so helpful for my trip in July! Thank you so much :)
Glad we could help you plan your trip. We felt the same way as you before we went - we weren't sure how long to spend or if it would be worth the price. We hope you have a great experience there! -Brian
We visited the PCC in Aug '22. There was so much to experience. Unfortunately, we only had a half a day scheduled. Definitely not enough. We hope to return in '23. This one is on our list.
Yeah, that's the one downside of PCC - you need a lot of time to fully appreciate and enjoy it all. And that's not a luxury most people have when visiting Oahu. Hopefully you can get back again this year!
I always loved taking visitors to this beautiful place when living in Hawaii. The evening show is the best on the island IMHO, the Mormons sure know how to put on a terrific show.
We didn't have anything to compare it to, since it was the only show we saw, but I'm glad we seem to have picked a good one. How long did you live in Hawaii?
It's interesting to see that each Hawaiian Island has a Micro-culture. I looking forward to visit Polynesian Cultural Center and Pearl Harbor in Honolulu.
Very true - we've visited Kawaii and Oahu and they both have a very different feel. Hoping to visit Maui soon and we have friends on the big island. We hope you enjoy your visit to Oahu!
I went there twice for a field trip in elementary. In 4th grade my bus broke down so I wasn't able to get home till 2am since it was an hour drive. No joke I fell asleep while the bus was being repaired, but they had to being another one(took about 2 hours) when I got home I threw up due to food poisoning. Went there during 6th grade and it was way more fun than my last field trip
From your notes in the description, I am assuming you got the Ali'i Luau package. Which says the dining is @ 4pm with seating at 3:30. How does that work? Do they do the luau show for each seating or do the earlier seatings have to sit around & wait for the show that happens after the later times are seated? Or do you eat & then come back later for the show?
Yes, we bought the Ali'i luau package. Seating starts at 3:30 (which is when we got there so we could secure the best seats - they're first come, first served). The show starts at 4pm and goes for about an hour. Then they clear everyone out and they do a second luau and show at 6pm for the people who paid slightly more (the Ambassador packages). The night show, Ha, starts at at 7:30. Since the villages close at 6pm, this means you'll have to kill an hour and a half if you go to the earlier luau. That's why the later luau is a little more convenient - you can spend the whole day in the villages, then do the luau and eat after the villages close, then go straight to the Ha show. But that wasn't worth the extra $25 for us. -Brian
There are a few things to do during that time. The marketplace is still open, so you can shop and listen to the live music. You can take the tram over to the Mormon Temple and BYU Hawaii - the landscaping is beautiful and the visitor center is interesting. You can also leave, grab a bite to eat and watch sunset on the beach, and then come back for the show. -Brian
Thank you for a wonderful video. You two are just so cute together. I wanted to just fly there tomorrow, you are very good at showing everything. Great job!! Definitely thumbs up!! 👍
Was there in 1972, wonderful experience. They still had the old stone outdoor theater where Elvis performed. Do they still have the Polynesian delights? A scooped out pineapple with ice cream and bananas and tropical fruits. Did you try the poi?
We didn't see the Polynesian delights, but that sounds delicious!! We'll have to look for it next time. We did eat the poi at the buffet. We're not big poi fans, so I couldn't tell you if it was good or not (we didn't care for it, but that wasn't a surprise). :) -Brian
I totally looked this up for a friend who’s going there in a few weeks I told her about the pcc since my dad and grandparents use to work there. And surprise I see my first cousin working the New Zealand village woohoo.
Very nice Brian, looks like you both had a great time. Little surprised you didn't burst into song though lol... Wishing you Isa and Kai a happy new year.....
The marketplace is called the Hukilau Marketplace, it's right when you walk into the PCC and it's open to the public (you don't have to have a ticket to go to the Marketplace). We haven't been to the big island yet, but I went to Kauai for a quick work trip once. I made a couple videos there if you want to check them out: th-cam.com/video/e2O2KjZ3E04/w-d-xo.html
Very nice doc about the Polynesia center; And about the evening dinner luau and breath of Life Show ? you check-out? worths the money .. you the evening visit to the nations island was enough. What you think about?! congrats
Yeah, it's worth it. We did a lot of things in Hawaii for the 4 or 5 days we were there on this trip, but to be honest, many of our fondest memories came from the experiences we had at the Polynesian Cultural Center. It's just so immersive and engaging you can't help but have fun.
I get it - it's so hard to justify the price without experiencing it - it's a big unknown for people. That's why we made this video - we really wanted to help show people how valuable and amazing the experience is, so hopefully they'll be more ok spending that much money.
My two younger sisters and my cousins used to perform there. I really miss home. Now that I moved here in the mainland, I realized how I miss it so bad and always take advantage of it. I didn’t really wanna go to the center since I always go there when we friends from here visiting. Now, I really miss it sooooo bad.
I totally get you! I grew up in Alaska and there's a long volcano hike thats on a nearby island. I never went and didn't have a desire, but now that I live outside AK, I want to do it so bad! V cool that you had family there as performers. Very talented people! I hope you get to go back every now and again :) -Isa
Yay! So glad we could help you plan your trip. When are you going? Feel free to ask us any questions that might come up as you continue planning. -Brian
I really loved the PCC when I was in Hawaii, in fact I happened to run into an old friend, from my hometown, who was working at the PCC in the Hawaii section. What can I say, it's a small world.
We recommend the Alii Luau package. I know it's a lot of money, but this gives you access to the luau which is (from what we've read) one of the best luaus in all of Hawaii. We really loved it - the food, the show, the ambiance, everything. The package has also changed a bit since we went. Now it includes 3 days access instead of 2, and you also get a canoe ride included, so that's cool.
As a kid my brother had poi balls, sort of. Except they were large marble balls attached to a string that could knock you out. They along with lawn darts how did we survive?
Thanks so much, Jason. No, we didn't use the Go Oahu card. I don't think we even looked into it on this trip. Have you used it before? Is it a good deal? -Brian
Hey how are you doing guys. Quick question what package did you guys get? I just looked for tickets and a lot of the selections are sold out until September! I was wondering if its worth buying the other type of packages that are left over.
We did the "Exclusive Ali'i Luau Package." Honestly, I'd say whatever package you end up with is worth the cost. The islands are so interactive and fun, so that's worth $70 to play in all of those for a couple days (tickets are good for two days). Or if you're going in August, you can still get the Gateway Buffet package, which includes the buffet and entry to Ha: Breath of Life, and the two of those combined are worth the extra $70 you'd pay on top of the Islands package.
Loved you video. Very informative. What Airbnb did you use? Was it in Waikiki? Was pick up available from your Airbnb? How did you get around on the island? Thanks for responding to my questions
We stayed on the North Shore for three days and then down in Honolulu for three days, both in Airbnb's. On the North Shore, we stayed in a condo on Turtle Bay Resort's property (www.airbnb.com/rooms/13751844). We rented a car for the 3 days we were on the North Shore since public transportation is pretty sparse up there, so we didn't need to be picked up. Down in Honolulu, we used buses and that worked pretty well for us. -Brian
Wow what an amazing place that's so cool that it features New Zealand which is where I'm from. You guys need to visit New Zealand you would absolutely love it
We actually have been to New Zealand, but just for a 24-hour layover on our way to Australia. We explored Auckland and had a blast. We definitely want to go back and see more of the country though. And especially Milford Sound. What part do you live in?
@@PerfectLittlePlanet I live in Hamilton which is about an hours drive from Auckland. I haven't had the chance to go to the south island but it's on my bucket list we have some beautiful places down there.
We are so excited to go there, love your video! My only question is.. which package did you purchase for this tour? I was a little confused in reading the options.. we want to get the tour of each island as well as the buffet at the end.
We did the "Exclusive Ali'i Luau Package." The luau/buffet is actually lunch. You've got two choices for lunch - "Gateway Buffet" is just the food and music, or the Ali'i Luau is the show we went to in the video. The HA: Breath of Life show is in the evening. And there's not an actual tour of the islands - you wander around wherever you'd like. They give you a schedule of the various shows and you make your own plan. -Brian
How long did you guys stay there each day? What time is the Ha show? We are planning to go but we are traveling with a 1year old baby and I'm trying to plan how long we need to be there and what time the main shows are.. Hopefully we can do as much as we can while we're there. :)
The villages are open from noon to 5:30, the Luau is at 4 or 6 (depending on your tickets - the 6pm is more expensive so we did the 4pm show), Ha starts at 7:30 and goes for 90 minutes. We were there from noon to 9pm the first day, then from 1:30 to 4:30pm the next day. So all in all, we spent 12 hours there. We have a 1-yr old now and I doubt we could do that with him, since he'd need naps. Good luck! You can check here for more info: www.polynesia.com/faq/hours-of-operation/#day-experience
Are you talking about the Go Oahu pass? If so, yes, the entrance is covered, but only to the villages and activities. The luau and Ha nightshow are included with the 3-7 day passes, though. See more here: www.polynesia.com/2472-2
Hi! Can I use this awesome footage for a school project I am doing , just a few clips? Preserving Pokynesian culture ? Also showing people enjoying sincerely of the PCC? Please let me know! Love the footage !! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lydia, go to my TH-cam channel's about page and find my email address there and send me some more details. I'm sure we can figure something out. -Brian
If you could only go one day, you can still visit all the islands. You just won't have time to do all the activities. Get a schedule and make a plan for the top things on your list, since shows happen at different times throughout the day. The three shows I'd recommend are Tonga (so funny), Aotearoa (New Zealand - the Haka), and Fiji. For activities, we really liked the fire knife twirling in Samoa and honestly everything in Aotearoa. Be sure to watch the Canoe Pageant, since that gives you the opportunity to see all the dances from all the islands. Have fun!!
Who else here is also an anthropologist and had to read about this cultural center in countless papers during grad school? My sister is in Hawaii and I am telling she must go there... for my sake hahaha
They have Hulihuli Chicken and Teriyaki Beef available. You can check the entire luau menu here: www.polynesia.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Alii-Luau-Menu-2018.pdf
We bought the Ali'i luau package, which we recommend. Seating for the luau starts at 3:30 (which is when we got there so we could secure the best seats - they're first come, first served). We were there last summer, but I'm just getting around to editing the videos. We were in Alaska for Christmas and Seattle for New Years, so we could definitely use some of this warmth right now. :) -Brian
When I went there last year we got multi day return tickets and we went back to watch some of the shows again and they are exactly the same basically off script really ruined it but the first time around was amazing
Yeah, we actually watched a few videos from back in the early 2000's and they were telling some of the same jokes. I guess if it's not broken, don't fix it, right? Still, good advice to do new things the second day. Not worth it to go back to the same shows. -Brian

We can't wait to upload them! We loved Hawaii. Do you know which island(s) you're planning on going to yet? -Isa
Definitely Oahu because my cousin just got stationed there at the naval base. I would also like to go to the Big Island and Kauai.
We haven't been to the big island yet, but I went to Kauai for a quick work trip once. I made a couple videos there if you want to check them out: th-cam.com/video/e2O2KjZ3E04/w-d-xo.html
Good job Filming the site....
Thank you!
Well done! I live here and cannot understand why some visitors dont visit the PCC!
Yes! I visited the Polynesian Cultural Center back in 2013 when I did my first trip to Hawaii. loved every moment of it!
I get it - it's so hard to justify the price without experiencing it - it's a big unknown for people. That's why we made this video - we really wanted to help show people how valuable and amazing the experience is, so hopefully they'll be more ok spending that much money.
Same, Duncan. We can't wait to go back again!
Thank you for such an informative entertaining video!
Thanks for watching!! - Isa
Hello can I ask you which package did you purchase for the PC. In Hawaii?
We did the Ali'i luau package and felt it was the best package for us.
I went here 1 week ago I loved it so I wanted to see it again. We bought the prime rib buffet not the luau
How was the prime rib? Did they do any show during your dinner or is it just like eating at a restaurant? -Brian
How much is the luau?
Good times! Definitely confirmed when “camera shy” Brian revealed that all the smiling and laughter made your cheeks hurt.
Oh my gosh that Tongan drumming show was hysterical! We were still smiling long after that show was over. Thanks for watching! -Brian
This video is so useful for planning my trip!
Yay! So glad we could help you plan your trip. When are you going? Feel free to ask us any questions that might come up as you continue planning. -Brian
Oh, that’s a great offer! Thank you so much!
Very cool! Has this been your favorite thing to see and experience on O'ahu? I'm planning a trip next month and I'm looking to complete our itinerary.
Yes, this was definitely top of the list for us. Hope you have a great time next month!
This is another place that is to bolbly go where no man or no one has ever gone before . That place would be my dream job
Oh my goodness it'd be so fun to work here!!
@@PerfectLittlePlanet yes it would I want to go home there
@PerfectLittlePlanet The Polynesian Cultural Center will always Be MY Home
I really loved the PCC when I was in Hawaii, in fact I happened to run into an old friend, from my hometown, who was working at the PCC in the Hawaii section. What can I say, it's a small world.
Small world indeed, especially in Hawaii.
I love you guys for these videos for the HOWLIE in me🤗😉
Thank you so much! We feel the same. :)
its my dram to visit Hawaii ... i love theri culture. maybe one day ... maybe one day,...
Hopefully you can go sometime. It's a little crazy right now, but hopefully soon it'll be safe and we'll be welcome back.
There are several packages, which one do you recommend?
We recommend the Alii Luau package. I know it's a lot of money, but this gives you access to the luau which is (from what we've read) one of the best luaus in all of Hawaii. We really loved it - the food, the show, the ambiance, everything. The package has also changed a bit since we went. Now it includes 3 days access instead of 2, and you also get a canoe ride included, so that's cool.
As a kid my brother had poi balls, sort of. Except they were large marble balls attached to a string that could knock you out. They along with lawn darts how did we survive?
Hahaha, I would have totally knocked myself out!
Not sure if you mentioned. But we’re the tattoos and the imax show free? Heading with the kids in a month!
Yes! Both were included and are part of the different island experiences. Have a wonderful time!
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Absolutely. Thanks for watching!
We really enjoyed your Oahu trip, you two are fantastic. Did you use a “Go Oahu card” "?
The video is so helpful, and for 3 days admission, do they allowed we do everything again from tour guide to buffet dinner?
No, the three day pass is only to the island villages. You have to do all the special things (tour, buffet, Ha, etc.) on the first day.
Thanks this really helps. Me and my family are going to Hawaii in 2 weeks so we r looking for places to go
Have fun! We loved Hawaii so much. Which islands are you going to?
I've been here. So cool! I miss hawaii 😀
Such an awesome place, right?!
YES!!
-Brian
@@PerfectLittlePlanet That’s the package we’re purchasing too, thank you so much. This is so helpful!
My pop was actually one of the people who built the Aotearoa village.
That must have been so cool to be part of the creation of this place. I wonder how much has changed since then.
so amazing!!! really you met paradise
Totally agree. Hawaii is just magical. -Brian
My family lives there, hopefully we’re going to move there soon💖💖💖
Expensive, but otherwise a wonderful place to live! We hope you can move soon too!
Don't Forget Yo Visit Polynesian Cultural Center. For A Taste Of Fun Food & Fun.
Enjoy
It's the best!
Thank u for sharing , can we use our Oahu pass to go there ???, in several times , we have 4 days pass, thank u
-Brian
Thank you I will do that!!!
if you could only go one day-- which islands should you go to first? great video btw!
Have fun!!
The polynesian cultural center is to come and learn my hawaiian ancient heritage . Its full of adventure , wonder ,Amazement , And intrigue
Yes! This place is such a great place to learn. It's so immersive!
@@PerfectLittlePlanet I so much agree
@@PerfectLittlePlanet the people of the Polynesian Cultural Center are my OHANA
is there scanners walking in the entrance ?
I don't remember any scanners.
Who else here is also an anthropologist and had to read about this cultural center in countless papers during grad school? My sister is in Hawaii and I am telling she must go there... for my sake hahaha
Yeah, from what I've heard, they try to create a pretty genuine experience for each of the island cultures.
Did they have chicken or steak cuz I wanna go but I don't eat seafood or pork so the prices are kinda scary if I can't eat meat there
They have Hulihuli Chicken and Teriyaki Beef available. You can check the entire luau menu here: www.polynesia.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Alii-Luau-Menu-2018.pdf
Love your vlogs and this is my favorite because I dance Tahitian lol
That's so cool of you! We tried to shake our hips like that but we were terrible at it! -Brian
Awesome!!!!
So great, right?!
random question, is it rude if i bring and wear my own lei when i go here? i plan on purchasing the package without lei greeting to save $
Not rude at all. Go for it!
Which admission package did you guys choose? Is it worth upgrading?
We bought the Ali'i luau package, which we recommend. Seating for the luau starts at 3:30 (which is when we got there so we could secure the best seats - they're first come, first served). -Brian
You’re in Hawaii now? !! Yeee 🤙
We were there last summer, but I'm just getting around to editing the videos. We were in Alaska for Christmas and Seattle for New Years, so we could definitely use some of this warmth right now. :) -Brian
Wonderful and I just wonder how the African waist wiggling went all the to Polynesia!
Above all, thanks for the video and love.
Oh, I didn't realize that originated in Africa. Interesting.
@@PerfectLittlePlanet It originated from Africa,Breastfed in India,Grew up in Polynesia and Got old in Europe.
Thank you so much for this I am definitely going in June when I'm in hawaii 😍😍
Awesome! Have so much fun. We can't wait to go back. Are you visiting just Oahu or will you see some of the other islands as well? -Brian
@@PerfectLittlePlanet thank you 😊 we will just be staying in Oahu this time around but hopefully will get to go to the other islands in the future.

很高兴您亲自访问了夏威夷。 多么神奇的地方!
-Brian
I been there and I love it
So good, right?!
The climbing man:*dabs* mwah I'm a pro!
Right?! 50 feet in the air, barefoot, no big deal. Don't even need to hold on. Whatevs.
Will be visiting
