Hiking Storm Mountain via Ferguson Canyon | Wasatch Peak Bagging | Best Hikes in Utah
Storm Mountain is fun peak that can be reached via Ferguson Canyon. The lower section of trail passes by several small beautiful cascading waterfalls. I thought the middle section of the hike was just ok. The scramble to reach the summit, however, was a blast! I even got to see a mountain goat (it moved out of sight before I could get a picture)! ⛰🐐

Hiking Mount Olympus | Wasatch Peak Bagging | Best Hikes in Utah
มุมมอง 17828 วันที่ผ่านมา
Mount Olympus was an amazing hike! Most of the trail is between south to west facing so it gets a lot of sun which is nice for helping the snow melt during the spring. I hiked this in May and it still had a decent amount of snow at the top but the views were worth it. Hopefully this will be the first of many peaks this summer ⛰ Elevation Gain: 4,087 ft Round Trip Distance: 6.9 mi Support my cha...

This was my first winter in the Wasatch and it was amazing! Here are a few shots from my backcountry experiences. I had some awesome powder days and got to do a ton of exploring! Splitboarding The Skillet on Mount Moran | 50 Classic Ski Descents of North America
มุมมอง 58หลายเดือนก่อน
The skillet is a 6,000 foot ski run on Mount Moran in the Tetons, and is one of the 50 classic ski descents of North America. Snow conditions ended up being pretty bad this day and my group ended up not making it all the way to the summit. On the way up we passed a ton of avalanche debris from the previous day. We probably could have continued uphill for a little longer, but wouldn't have had t...
Splitboarding Terminal Cancer Couloir | 50 Classic Ski Descents of North America

Terminal Cancer is a steep couloir in Nevada, and is one of the 50 classic ski descents of North America. This was a last minute trip and I'm glad I did it. We had awesome conditions! Even though the snow at the very bottom and top was a little variable, most of the run had amazing snow. The natural rock hallway was full of powder and the views were very aesthetic. Splitboarding Heart of Darkness | Wasatch Backcountry Ski Mountaineering
มุมมอง 9442 หลายเดือนก่อน
Heart of Darkness is a steep narrow couloir off of Monte Cristo in the Wasatch Mountains. The ridge line up Mount Superior was steep and really fun. From Superior, we traversed over towards Monte Cristo, where we snowboarded down towards the couloir. The rappel down into the tall narrow couloir was really cool. The snow in the couloir wasn't the best, it was pretty icy and choppy, but it was st...

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. 🙂

I want to talk about developing your TH-cam channel videos
Check out the description for more info. Check out my hiking playlist for more videos like this.
Where's the location? I'm vacationing there in 2 weeks
It's called "Rio Choyin". It's by La Fortuna, near the Arenal Volcano. The entire river is warm.
Love it! I went here today and it was really fun.
Nice! Glad you had a good time! 😃
We just did this a few weeks ago on a REALLY rainy day. The falls were amazing! they were showing pretty strong that day (5/18). We got soaked but it was awesome.
That's awesome! These falls would be really cool to see when it's flowing strong.
Where is this?
Fall Creek Falls, Idaho. Near Swan Valley.
How long did the hike up take with a kid?
It's about 2 miles one way. It probably took us around 2 hours to get up.
I've been told the hike is actually pretty difficult?
It depends on how much you hike. It's just under 2 miles one way and about 900 feet of elevation gain. There's also not a ton of shade. So it really just depends on the persons fitness level.
Beautiful island just came back 😮from vacation from there lots to do on the island 🏝️ ❤
Yes, Cozumel's an amazing place! 😃
Nice vid. Were there webbing straps at the anchor stations?
Thanks! The anchors were all in good condition with new webbing when we went through, although that was last year. It's a very popular route, so chances are everything will probably be good to go, but I'd still bring some webbing and rapid links just in case you need to replace anything.
Nice
Thanks!
Beautiful!
Thanks!
Thanks!
I was there watching you! First time I've seen anyone on it. Amazing!
That's awesome! It was really fun, we had great conditions!😃
Nice video. Thanks for naming the fish.
Thanks! You're welcome 😀
how deep is the water?
It was probably around 8-9 feet deep at the jumping spot when we were there. The water levels change quite a bit at these falls, so it might be different depending on how much rain there has been recently.

Great video except my heart skipped a beat when I saw your beautiful daughter buried in the sand. Please Google Sloan Mattingly Fort Lauderdale to learn more.
Glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks for the info on potential dangers with sand holes at the beach.
I used to go to Waimea falls as a kid with my family long long ago when there was only a narrow dirt foot path with a lot of big rocks to the falls. Later on in my teens my friends and I used to hike the trail to Waimea falls to go swimming in the pools below the falls and jump off the rocks into the pool. Life was good in those days. Brings back a lot of good memories.
Sounds like some good memories 😀
@@murphytravelsofficial yeah, Hawaii wasn’t so overpopulated then.
Can i drive to this spring?
Excluding winter road closures, you can drive pretty close. It's a short walk (0.5 mile or less) from the parking area, but has a river crossing with no bridge. The water was knee high when I went, but I'd imagine it's deeper in the spring time.
Which spring is this?
It's called Chicken Soup in Lava Hot Springs, just on the side of the river.
@@murphytravelsofficial thanks, I'll have to check it out! I've been looking into some other springs, the only one I know how to get to from memory is Jerry Johnson.
Sick!! What mountain range are you at?
This was over in the Ruby Mountains. 😀
What's the name of the beach? Looking for a kid friendly place
Hi, it called Kalepolepo Beach Park.
Just got back from Sky Reef on our 1st cruise . I loved this place. 1st time in really clear water
Nice! I'm glad you had a good experience. 😀
Used to go here as a kid many times!
What time did you start the hike?
It's been long enough that I don't remember the exact time, but it was probably around 8-9am.
This looks absolutely incredible. Great footage. Happy with the Jones Solution?
Thanks! So I've got the Jones Frontier, which I believe is slightly more flexible than the Solution, but I've really enjoyed it. I've ridden it for a few seasons now, and it's definitely a great board.
@@murphytravelsofficial ah maybe I read too quickly. Could have sworn you put "Solution" In the description.
No worries. I've heard good things about the Solution. Maybe I'll have to try it out someday.
Thank you so much for this video :) I’m looking for a hike that me and my friends can do in the summer <3
You're welcome!

Unforgettable trip!!
It definitely was. Such a cool place! 😃
Thanks for sharing your successes and setbacks. Hopefully, you are successful the next time on such a beautiful objective.
Thank you! 😀
We planning to go to Cozumel this July. Is that the only Mayan ruins on the Island? We want to explore Mayan ruins..
It's not the only one, but it is the biggest one on the island. There are a few other small ruins. If you have time to take the ferry, there are also bigger ruins on the Mainland. 🙂
Great video. Looking at heading out there this weekend. When you did this, how far up the canyon were you able to drive?
We were able to drive almost right to the base of the ski line, where you cross the stream and start heading up. There was still snow on the road and we were in a mid-level clearance vehicle. It's been a few weeks, so I'd guess there's even less snow on the road now.
Great video. How much time did you spend there, in order to see and do all you that you did?
We stayed there the entire day (9am-4pm). That gave us time to see everything, eat, and spend a few hours on the beach.
That looks intense
Yeah, it was pretty difficult. I still had fun though 😃
That is so beautiful!!
Thanks! I love the Tetons, it's an awesome mountain range! 😀

😮😮😮😮😮 awesome!!

Very beautiful, thank you for sharing 😍
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. 😀
How long was this hike
It's about 7 miles round trip.
Extreme Ice Bath
Didn’t know Cozumel had ruins 👀🙏🏽 dope vid
Thanks!
Where is this?
It''s Diana's Throne in Southern Utah 🙂
Nice video! I'm born and raised here in Alaska. Thank you for doing an awesome experience video ❤
Thanks, and you're welcome! 🙂

Did you walk, drive?
We drove there. It's just off of the side of the road, so you don't really need to walk very much.
Where is this? Looks insanely cool.
It's the El Choyin river near La Fortuna. It's right next to Tabacon Hot Springs, just off the side of the road.
Where did you find the board to ride down the sand?
Hey! We bought that one at Costco. 😀
