A tonne is incredible. I was wondering why you don’t see the e46 m3s anywhere near this weight, with the lightest around 1200kg. I done some digging, I understand there is a 67kg weight saving with the m54 engine over the s54… how you managed to find the rest of the weight saving is very impressive, especially when running the heavier m3 diff and drive components. 👏👏
Dont know how to write this comment without sounding like a little angry hating kid but i would consider myself an absolute E46 and weight saving enthusiast, i think Ed has also seen my 330 build.😅 I also own a set of Proform Scales, and i wondered why the rear left scale shows weird negative Values 2 times in the video Before you put the car on it? Also looking at the weights when the car is lowered, the rear left corner seems to show around 100kg less than the other 3. Some differences due to missing corner weight adjustment are obviously normal, but not that much. Also from personal experience, just lowering a car on these scales without rolling the car foreward and back multiple times a few centimeters always results in false values, the tyres will grip into the surface of the scale when the suspension compresses. There will be a side load on the scales which can not be measured by the weighing cells in the Scales(They only measure vertical load). This can also be seen by the Total weight jumping up and down more than 0.5kg continuously. Dont get me wrong, this is a seriously light E46, way more consequently built than most of the other very heavy track cars out there, but with the given modifications, the 1008kg wet weight must be a measurement error. But you are welcome to prove me wrong, I am open to any explanation or discussion😁✌
Man 1000 kg is crazy, im building my second M3 for track and i am aiming for 1300 kg, and it will have more power than my current one which has 303whp, also S54 in that car would have been way crazier but congrats to ratdog team you guys are amazing and became my favoritr youtubers
1000kg? For real? How.. i have 3 e46m3 gutted everythinv with carbon dash, doors, trunk, hood, carbon roof, cut holes on places i can, all plexiglass, s54 was built with all forged internals too to save 10lbs, most i have gone is 2480lbs or 1125kg dry .. pla share . My cage is just a 4 pt half cage and u guys have a welded one. How did it get to just 1000kg.
Nice! It’s strange TH-cam is not giving you views, should you consider a new entry video more aligned with the video/sound quality/level you are doing now? You deserve more views and followers for the videos but also for the content and work you are putting into to it. Keep them coming! Cheers and congratulations 🍾🎈
To be honest, I didn't believe it would reach 1000kg, I would bet my chips on 1200kg, the weight it reached is unbelievable. Did you use 330i drivetrain or 325i drivetrain with getrag gearbox? Good Job Guys 🏁🏁
@@ratdognuno So the gearbox that is in the car is the ZF, it is heavier, if you use the Getrag 5-speed gearbox for the 318/320/323/325 you can save about 15kg more, but it is more fragile. 1hp for 4kg is already incredible, the car will be very fast.
@@RatDog Okay nice, so a 5% increase with the S54 ITB’s. I’m really intrested because I have a 330Ci of my own and curently rebuilding the whole car. For the engine I have Wiseco 11.0:1 pistons, schrick 272/256 cams and lifter, double valvesprings, M50 schmiedman exhaust manifold and a S54 ITB setup. Still working on making a adapterplate for the ITB’s because I want to head to be M50 intake portmatched. I will follow your videos for inspiration!

225 and a ton weight, unreal fella's this will be so much fun on the track. Would love to do this to my clubsport.
1000kg is insane. What a neat build. Thanks for the content, keep it up!
Best thing TH-cam has seen in years. Can’t wait for what’s coming 🙏🏼

I've been obsessed with buying a 330ci for the past week, all because of how amazing this car looks in your videos 🔥
To put it into perspective Edd’s 330 ClubSport weighs less than a 2015 Toyota Yaris. 🗿
Unreal! congratz to all of you and especialy to Ed!
A ton … that’s mad 🙄😱
Xmas is going to be mint. Thank you for all the videos guys
Wicked mate seriously cool. How come only 225 though? Usually I see m54 go to 250-260 unless those are false claims. Awesome build again 🔥
Man im here for it!

Now an infinitas supercharger for that extra power👌

Gorgeous build
That's crazy, my e46 track car is around 1155 kg with a 210k diff and a B30 with no cage. I've got work to do!

Hats off for the effort on getting it down to that weight that’s crazy!
What’s happening with the evo?
@@lukekindred1999 I’m pretty sure Jake wants to sell it

Great work keep it up 👌💯🤙
Very nice, but to be honest I was expecting more power from a whole exhaust system and ITB's
@@SERP92_ Sorry we’ll have a word with the 196,000 mile engine
such a beautiful car
Hey! Cool car man
Should’ve bought the ultimate track car, the Lamborghini Performante
Wow! Even the 4C euro barely makes it to 2000 lbs!!! It must have tons of CF parts on it as well.
Cool music 😎
Impressive
With only 1000kg I bet that car feels like a missile
What are the weight savings you did ? The weight is impressive but it doesnt make a lot of sense. Can you list the details
There will be a build breakdown video 😊
@RatDog ok this is cool thank you

Good Job Guys 🏁🏁
He used the factory 5 speed, with a single mass flywheel, and a full e46 m3 rear end, so has a custom propshaft.

What a missle. Is there a plan for some video with "specs"? 1000kg E46 is a mental achievement.
Hopefully this Sunday will be a full breakdown
At 1000 kg, this car became a road predator🤔🤔
220hp? a stock M54b30 makes 231hp right? How can that be?
Powertrain loss on stock it's way less that's actually 220 to the wheel
My stock 330 made 215 on Peter’s dyno
That's flywheel horsepower, most cars are flywheel because it's more accurate.
