Most excellent instructional and informative video Matthias! I am very happy that you did a "before & after" comparison so guys can actually see just how much they may benefit from adding one of these new FX Power Block Kits - about 20 ft/s. And then by adding a longer 800mm barrel they can gain an additional 10 ft/s. For a grand total increase in velocity of approximately 30 ft/s with the new kit and longer barrel. Now guys can honestly decide if $320.00 for a longer barrel and $117.00 for one of the new FX Power Block's is worth 30 ft/s more velocity.... All the best, Chuck
Hi chuck , thx for the support 👍 I wanted to add the before and after in the video to show the benefit of it . But my current tune in 22 cal is pretty modest with a regulator pressure of only 138bar and I don’t know if that is a true representation of the added benefit ( at least the minimum 😉) I suspect with a more higher regulator pressure you can gain more with the 800mm , as the added length in the 800mm barrel could benefit from more air behind the pellet/slug My gun was tuned not to waist air in the 700mm and the extra 100mm doesn’t have enough air behind the pellet/slug to propel it more then what you sa in the video . If I would start with a 700 tune that would spill air when the projectile left the barrel the jump with the 800 would be more significant. Hope my explanation makes some sense 😉
Yes you will have a lot of fun experimenting with your new FX Power Block Kit... I currently have Elsa my old .357 Impact MKII tuned to shoot the new Hades 77gr pellets at 1005 ft/s with my Huma Regulator set at just 133 Bar...that amounts to just over 172 ft. lbs. of energy. So I personally don't need one of these new FX Power Block Kits but I am glad to see that FX did come up with a way to correct their mistake of increasing the size of the M3 plenum to 720cc, which actually gave the M3 rifles a lot less power instead of more power and made them almost impossible to tune for more power. You can see Elsa on TH-cam at chuckster636 - th-cam.com/video/zMHRctLGHTU/w-d-xo.html
Perfect timing for me. I was considering getting a power block installed on my gun while it's in the shop. (Had to replace the safety screw). Was considering it but now, I'll keep my 25 cal the way it is. Shooting 30 grain slugs @1040 fps with a 600mm barrel with room to tune it for more power. Havent added any slug kit or barrel sleeve. For 20 fps more, I'm good. I was thinking the block would boost it up by 100fps or more. Glad I didnt give them go ahead. Besides I normally shoot my gun @ 925-975 fps. Just figured it would be good to have the extra power, but 20-25 fps more, its not worth it.
@@anthonygillespie7233 just know that the numbers in my video might not be a good representation of what the power block and 800mm can do . I had a pretty modest tune on my 22 700 setup not waisting air when the projectile leaves the barrel , so I don’t push enough air to get the benefit of the 800mm . By returning the gun I expect to get at least 100fps extra . Offcours on different calibers you can get different numbers with the same regulator pressures and same weights due to the aperture in transferport size across the different calibers

In the beginning I was afraid of the length aswel but even with a 580cc bottle it still looks nice in my opinion. The reason why I do this is that you put pressure on the valve and properly close/seat it in the valve seat so no air cal leak out as the plenum is empty and doesn’t have air enough to close it if by itself . Once the plenum is filled the pressure holds the valve closed

In my current tune yes but that is very modest and not optimized for the 800mm barrel . The power blocks full potential is at higher regulator pressure 160+ My current tune is optimized to use just enough air for the 700mm barrel so when the projectile leaves the barrel the push off air stops and has no spills. So after the holidays I will return the gun to optimize for the 800mm . I suspect to get a gain of 100fps
Might be worth explaining to people that it’s bad for the gun and front Reg to remove the bottle with over 100 bar in it. It can put pressure on threads and they will eventually strip, sending your bottle flying.
I have been doing it for over 5years without any problems. The amount of times I took off the bottles to rebuild the guns is a lot. The key is to have enough lube/grease on the threads and not to cross thread them
In my current tune yes indeed but I was only using a modest tune ( 138bar )not waisting air , the real benefit is with higher regulator pressures. I think I will get a 100fps more if I push the reg to 150

Any problems install power block to mkii
No not at all , just know that if your MKII doesn’t have the power plenum 720 yet you will need a different kit with some extra parts like a diff valve rode etc
Pra nois aqui no Brasil, essa arma é sonho impossível, chega custar 30 mil reais
What length does c1 need to be
I still use the 6mm to 6.5mm rule
Can u please so how to do the fx4.
Anybody know if someone is making that 3D printed part for the shroud.
Cool
Thx
The power block needs a new valve poppet - a bigger one. You did not change it in the movie.
It depends from which model your upgrading from , there are a few different kits .
This kit Add 30 feet only
In my current tune yes but that is very modest and not optimized for the 800mm barrel .
The power blocks full potential is at higher regulator pressure 160+
My current tune is optimized to use just enough air for the 700mm barrel so when the projectile leaves the barrel the push off air stops and has no spills.
So after the holidays I will return the gun to optimize for the 800mm . I suspect to get a gain of 100fps
Saya pengen punya ini shot gun tapi gak punya uang😭😭
Might be worth explaining to people that it’s bad for the gun and front Reg to remove the bottle with over 100 bar in it. It can put pressure on threads and they will eventually strip, sending your bottle flying.
I have been doing it for over 5years without any problems. The amount of times I took off the bottles to rebuild the guns is a lot. The key is to have enough lube/grease on the threads and not to cross thread them
Yes , had it happen and warranty covered it .
Hardly worth it for 20fps.
In my current tune yes indeed but I was only using a modest tune ( 138bar )not waisting air , the real benefit is with higher regulator pressures. I think I will get a 100fps more if I push the reg to 150
Your math really sucks
