It's a scary thing when someone is obsessed with u. Especially if you are trying your best to let this person know gently that the relationship is over. So exactly what do you do to get rid of the person that is not taking no for an answer?

jdfodio although that is a wonderful and powerful thing to do, i do think that there should also be ways we can deal with them on a daily basis. When in the moment, we do have to actually deal with them face to face, we dont just sit there praying. So, my question is, what actions can we take to deal with these people? Other than praying. Thats already necessary. Sorry, i hope it doesnt seem like im undermining what u said. I totaly agree. I just think there should be other things too
Avoid when alone. Be casual and respectful in group settings.
So have the same problem, but I got the guy anger with me when I told him I didn't feel respected by the way he was treating me. I tried the nicest way i could but, he wasn't getting it till I became just blunt.

I used to have narc friends who would accuse me of copying them when they were copying me. It took me til last year at 47 yrs old to realize if someone is mean to me they arent my friend. These are great points, but they are not the only points. It would be impossible to name them all as every person is different. My obsession came from my depression. I am much better now, because of medicine and therapy. Great video as always, Mark!

Some people are willing to go to get thier wanted abnormal highs just to fulfill their distorted fantasies and unfortunately I run into them, some people just don't know how to stop their bad behavior and this is when it gets dangerous!!

WOW! This video is a God send for me. Four years ago, I finally ghosted on a friend who verbally abused me for years, and he's been quiet all this time, but for the past six months he's tried repeatedly to contact me through a social media platform. Like you said, he didn't understand the first time around that the relationship is over.

I just appreciate that you spoke with such compassion. This type of problem in a person is usually viewed with disdain by a person who speaks pridefully about not having the problem. Wisdom and love from God must be applied. A lot of folks may not have an unhealthy obsession with people, but they have a hidden obsession with image, career, success, money, etc. Thanks for talking about it.
A worship leader (female) at a church has done this to me and I left the church. SUPER CREEPY! I TOLD HER after being blocked. via phone and text to leave me alone. Then she EMAILED ME! I told her to LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!

I needed this. I think I told you that I wanted to break up with someone but he is not accepting it. When I text him that he is not respecting me he turns it around and says I am not respecting him. He might be a narcissist.

There is also that type of “toxic” obsessed friend that is always on your face no matter how many times you try to distance yourself from them. It’s been more than 5 months i have distanced myself from this lady when I found out the things she does and say behind ppl’s back (including myself). I was shocked and disappointed but one thing I knew is that I can’t mentally grow around this type of ppl and I can’t change their character neither so I decided to forgive her and distance myself from her. She’s always texting me asking what’s going on... telling me I am not as busy as she is that I can’t even pick up the phone to call her... she’s always inviting me to attend events together but I immediately refuse or at times ignore her. Yesterday she texted asking to come to her house hang out and that her daughters miss me a lot... (I love children but I just can’t be around her)... she just doesn’t stop... the worse part of this situation is that she is my next door neighbour and at times she goes knocks on my door just to talk to me. 🤦🏾♀️ she’s very annoying. My husband now locks the gates because of her. 🤦🏾♀️ If There is an emergency of course we will try to be there for her and her family (as good neighbours do) but part from that I want to love her from >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 👉over there!

I have a friend/roommate who is obsessed with me. I'm a loner, I need time to myself & I don't talk that much. This person that I live with right now does not want to leave me alone. Thank you for making this. I was obsessed with my school crush, I met up with him through Facebook 11 years after school had ended. He rejected me after our date, and I felt crushed. I later realized I went out with him because I felt defeated in every area of my life at that time, and not because I really liked him. I considered blowing up his phone with text messages but I didn't bother because my phone died. Shortly after that, I forgot about him.
Thinking back I realized how crazy I looked to people. I couldn't realize when it was over.
When I was 15 I started dating one of my best friends. We were together for about 3 weeks before he dumped me for someone else. This guy was preaching to everyone about how in love he was with me but then leaves not even a month later. I hadn't done anything crazy yet. So we tried to stay friends but it wasn't really working out
I legit STOLE his favorite hat out of his closet and told him he could have it back when I stop loving him. I recently found the hatt too, not sure what to do with it cuz I forgot all about it. I sent pictures of me selfharming, saying how I'm gonna kill myself. Not so much because of our breakup more cuz nothing in my life was that good

Thank you for this message. I'm doing all the things to show my respect for the person who isn't interested in having a relationship. I realize his way of just going no contact cold turkey to just have a clean cut created part of this mental war. It put him on a pedastal I didn't even see when we were together. The depression 8s difficult. Sometimes I'm working and no reason it takes over me. I can have a stoic stature but I can't hold back tears. No one has a clue. Not even the one who walked away. But when I'm alone I prayto God to change me as I pour my greif. The dumb thing is, he leaves me because he knows he puts me on a rollercoaster. He basically has to do opposite of the basic needs I ask and he makes that out as the reason we should end it. We've gone through this crazy dumb cycle more times than I can count and I'm left broken and he's off the hook. Now I realize it's just a drug addiction...

Idk if I'm the obsessed 1. Loosing a marriage is devastating. So he kept calling and texting even though I would say a 100times it's over. But on the process of divorce I found myself being on a depressed obsessed imagination of loving him and kept fantasizing about the day we reunite.
I just know it's a feeling of wanting and longing to be LOVED and fearing being single. Im praying for understanding and connecting to a love Greater than that of a man, a love of Jesus Christ.

My abusive father is very OBSESS WITH ME!!! The moment he laid his hands on me physically in a violent way, I LOST COMPLETEL RESPECT FOR HIM AND AS A HUMAN BEING!! I left once I turned 18 years old of being abused in every way. After he did that, he called me to come back home and stay there when I was beaten up badly when I was close of getting killed! Not only that, he kept calling and asking about me year after year and until last year he asked from my other family members behind my back for my phone number thinking I wasn’t going to know anything yet I did. Before 2019, I confronted him telling him that I wanted peace and for him to leave me alone for good!! I even told him he’s obsess with me and can’t let go of me at all also telling him how much damaged he’s done to me!! He thought I was crazy and he started gaslighting me when I told him that, making himself look all innocent. I just know that he’s NOT ever going to change and he thinks that the relationship between me and him will grow it grew out long time ago and I’m glad that I stood up for myself because he thinks he has power over someone that could be treated like a toy!!! I don’t think so!! Completely selfish and narcissistic! He shall reap what he sow or get karma. I do believe what goes around comes around. I’ve been trying to heal and improve my life ever since I was 18. I do want things to get better for myself and for anyone out there that’s been through any form of abuse whether it’s from a family member, ex boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife, fiancé, friend they know that what they did is wrong and won’t ever apologize yet will regret everything when their time of living is running out. Friend, I encourage you to also seek Godly, Christian counseling. You can even go to moody radio and call for Christian counseling. Pray for God’s healing. Please read the Bible, God’s lovely word, precious for His people, ask Him for wisdom, and cry out to Him. I’ll be praying for you, God bless you!

Sandrina Fralencio glad I’m not alone on this. It’s been very difficult to fight my inner darkness I’ve felt my father was the darkness and I’m the light. I do want to get a lot of help from guidance in every way and i do believe in angels, universe and god. There’s times i pray to stay protected from harm & evil; I’m always asking the angels and they do help me a lot. I’m sure Jesus will do everything in his power to heal me. He’s always been a good person. Thank you for understanding where I came from and the prayer. My ex was so mentally and financially abusive to me. I left him 4 years ago and he still tries to reach me to this day, it stresses me out and makes me sad. I constantly cleaned the house for him, cooked for him, washed ironed and folded clothes. He was so horrible in return. Yelling for not putting cooked food at the table with spoon and tortillas.yelling about money that I could give him. It is so stressful that he still seeks me out. I can't believe he is still affecting me years later. He has emailed me begging to talk to him, I can't explain the feeling.

I am very aware of the obsessive patterns but I do know in my heart that I need to find my purpose of life, God and spiritual purpose.... Obsessing over people just leaves a void in my heart and in that state I just experience stress and fear of abandonment.

When the relationship makes you sin, stumble, backslide and fall away from your narrow path with God.

It sounds like Jesus is not the center of your joy. Joy and completion is not found in a relationship. Also maybe God can’t bless your future because your still holding onto your past. Any and everyone can pray for you, but you need to have a sincere prayer with God for yourself. Who knows you could be hindering your own blessing. I am not God, but why would He bless someone with a new girlfriend if they are still holding onto an old one. That would not be fair to the new one.

I'm obsessed with my ex I literally have a routine around him checking all his family freinds and his girlfriend and him on Facebook I keep looking at old photos I started dating my new man to get over him nothing works . Its been 4 years I'm getting fed up I keep blocking them and unblocking them I was truly heartbroken it's becoming depressing and making me iscolate myself and question life . First time I've spoken about my level of obsession I'm always reading his Facebook to see when he breaks up I miss the old him that's the problem . The stress started making my hair fall out and I rarely take care of myself anymore and i do self destructive behaviour eating bad foods . You'll be surprised on who is really obsessed with me but also many people both genders. I have a very difficult time trying to focus. Also this women that I had a crush on years ago still surprisingly still following me. Me and her were friends back in the day and she admits that she now loves me but she is married and has kids I had to stop taking to her. She won't leave me alone . I moved on and it's hard for her to understand. Still she trys to contact me. Just tired of all this. Wish I can help but i dont have the tools for them to understand .

What about respecting the other persons needs as well? Why does it have to be an obsession in order to have your wants and needs at the end of a relationship be met to the same extent as the other person? It doesn’t have to be Obsession in order for you to receive closure or a conversation from a relationship… It’s just what you need in order to have closure… So if you have one person who wants to talk any other person who doesn’t at that point in time both people should just be adults and meet in the middle because both people exist within that situation and both people deserve respect…if it CONTINUES… like passed somebody ghosting you or whatever… Then yeah OK sure maybe… But trying to get a conversation from somebody who doesn’t want to have a conversation but you feel that you need one isn’t obsession it’s having a need and expecting to exist within the dynamic of that relationship, even at its ending… In the same essence as the other person And there’s nothing wrong with that
You don’t have the right to demand someone give you more info. You weren’t married. If they want to speak with you fine but it’s their choice to move on if they feel they have said enough. And obsessed person just can’t move on without getting all the closure they think they need
