seriously this was one of the worst directs in my opinion because it had the most BS like the disaster that was 3D All Stars and the strange period where they would shut down Mario 35 and stop stocking up 3D All Stars.. it's like they want us to emulate so badly because of their idiotic decesions

I loved it a lot when I was 10 years old in 2013 along with the Wii U. The good thing is that it came to Switch (although I'm already 17 years old haha, everything happens very quickly), and asks to enjoy this modern classic together with my brother. I say that Super Mario 3D World is enjoyed alone, but never as much as with friends and family!

Can we have a moment of appreciation for Mario’s voice actor though? Who also does the voices of Luigi, Wario, Waluigi and various other characters throughout the series. That man was the voice of our childhood, and the videos you see of him online you can always tell how much he loves his job and making his fan’s days. Thank you for the memories, Charles Martinet.

This is a great Direct to celebrate 35 years of the series, with a lot of surprises, and also the approach of many people to past and current Mario games.
I celebrated like never before by playing most of the major games like the ones available on the Switch, like those of Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario 3D World, as well as picking up games on Wii and Nintendo 3DS like NSMBW, SMG2, SM3DL and NSMB2.

Of course there are select cases where accidents happen; but, people need to realize the responsibility of raising kids before they decide to bring a life into this chaotic world. No they removed "So long gay Bowswer!" and replaced it with "Bye bye." At 13:48 they added slightly new voices that sound terrible, and "Bye bye" to backwords long jumps. A truly sad sight to see.

@@shinyseeker6442 Yeah its the Japanese only Shindou release. It adds rumble pack support, I believe it uses the red coin sound effect from the English version and it doesn't have Backward Long Jumps.
We'll have to wait and see for the game, because it might have been just a transition, but I could see it

Who here is watching in 2023 and is remembering going INSANE over everything announced.
As a big Mario fan, this was coolest Mario-Themed Direct ever for me! More recent Nintendo Directs have never gone through Mario's history on the same level as this one! With the Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch and Super Mario Bros 35, a game I still miss to this very day, Super Mario All-Stars on Nintendo Swich Online, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, and Mario Kart Live HomeCircuit this Direct truly went all across Mario History!
