I used my fingers and pulled off the chrome ring easily. This gives slightly more access to use a thin electronics screwdriver and wedge/wiggle it out without the wire tool.
100% with everyone else that the tool breaks and this is a crazy pain in the ass to do. I'm not sure how the thing is even supposed to grab the button, anyway - it seems to follow the curve. Maybe the tools are bent wrong?
@@nobleperformance5880 if you can make a bezel that’s the same color as the metallic ring located at the top of the oem stick shift, I am a 100% buying.
Quick and easy my ass, my factory button will not come out and my wire tool snapped in half during the process still have the stock button and Noble sitting there
This shit don't work. Been trying for like 2 hours. You have break the tool and use it on two sides to wedge the button out. It did not come easy for me like in the video.

what does not having the status button light hole mean?
Some of the push buttons have a green status light that Turns on when you push the button.
2022 doesn’t have the light
The green light comes on when I press on the clutch before it’s turned on in my 2019 limited sti
This does not work with the GR86.
It does. Did it right now

The wire tool destroyed the chrome bezel on mine. I had to get an overlay to hide it.
i did mine and it was very easy, 2 minutes
Agreed. This was brutal and tool broke inside of the button. Now I got a broken tool piece inside the button and no success. I’m stumped.
