@ I followed what gchild said, I didn’t bother checking it out. He’s probably technically correct though. 1997 CZJ in term of filming for a 1998 release.
Damn straight. Maybe even better than Gal Gadot. Don't get me wrong though , I love that Gal :) ...but CZJ? I sacrificed Millions in her Name. Hallowed be the Goddess.
2:50 that moment when she says "We fought and then he left. He LEFT!!!" The subtext of her being so mad at him for leaving is just great writing and great acting from her. The movie is so damn good and wouldn't work half as well without her.
In the UK she was a babe long before Zorro, there was a reason so many teenagers and young men watched the Darling Buds of May every week and it wasn't for a love of farming. For me though, Entrapment and the scenes where she has to avoid the lasers, is peak Zeta Jones - that scene has been done so many times and no woman has done it better before or since.
That laser scene was good lol. The moment when Connery sees her doing those contortions and does a sort of "hmmm" noise, like he's blown away by what he's seeing made it erotic and hilarious at the same time.
Mannnn! I remember buying a dvd disc of (mask of Zorro) i instantly fell in love with Catherine, mind you, i still got bunch of posters of her and also of shannyn ❤, memories 😉 i wish i can relive those again from start.
Shes a princess didn't expect women would this be beautiful. Word cant express how devine looking she is in each camera angle.. As an asian kid she buffles me really.
GOD it's so refreshing to be able to complement a woman freely! I can't do it because I look like shit, but it feels liberating to hear someone else do it.
Just say “she looks beautiful” and build it up from there. Don’t let online trolls sway you by calling you “simp” and….don’t actually be a simp by crossing lines and boundaries. Just keep it grounded, real and simple.
Just ignore those w ok e people who hate men who loves beautiful women. If women are allowed to appreciate handsome men, why not men appreciating gorgeous women?
I love the tribute to Zeta. in her prime she was widely accepted as one of the all time beauties who ever lived, yet i say she was still underrated. like you implied, the more you look into her eyes, the more you find disbelief at how gorgeous she actually is. at the right time, it could melt your brain.
I was glad to see a Welsh person become so famous. My dad is from Wales, and some people don't even know Wales is a country. Christian Bale was born in Wales, but his parents are English.
I remember seeing this when it came out and thinking "This is the most beautiful woman who has ever lived." Evidently Michael Douglas thought the same as after seeing it, he pursued her with a passion. Lucky guy...
As someone who grew up in the 90s, this is what I love so much about that era. There was just something special about movies at that time - the technology was advanced enough that special effects generally looked good, but they didn't neglect the good old-fashioned art of filmmaking, with a focus on the story and the stars. Also, the women looked so much more beautiful back then. If this movie got made today, they'd cast some smug, insufferable Disney chick to play the role of Elena.
Catherine Zeta-Jones is one of the most beautiful women to ever exist in my oh so VERY humble opinion. The Darling Buds of May was something I paid VERY close attention to as a boy, genuinely a sight to behold ❤ I can barely think right now.. (disclaimer: this is not objectification, it`s admiration, they`re different ;))
From 3:01 onto the next scene we can see the power of makeup and lighting as well as jewellery, fake lashes etc, and it's importance in beauty. She transitions from a mortal woman into a divine being of beauty and all she has to do is smile to devastate you
Bro wrote an ode to Catherine Zeta Jones and masked it as a video essay.
Lmao 🤣
Thumbs up tho, is not easy writing video essay with one hand 😁👍
As he should

I was staring at 1997 Catherine Zeta Jones. I didn’t hear a word you said.
While I have to admit she is stunning in this... in '97 my brain was bouncing between Jet from Gladiators and Gillian Anderson
This was 1998 not 1997
@@jamesabernethy7896 This was 1998 not 1997
1998 you mean.
@ I followed what gchild said, I didn’t bother checking it out. He’s probably technically correct though. 1997 CZJ in term of filming for a 1998 release.
Always thought Prime Catherine would have been a physically perfect wonder woman.
Shes tied with Prime Salma Hayek for me.
@@sparda9060 Salma Hayek is too short to be a wonder woman. She is barely 150 cm on figure skates with a hood.

@@sparda9060bro prime salma as ww would have been god like
Thanks, now I cannot unsee that. ;)
Bro wrote the greatest poetry known to humankind in praise of Katherine Zeta Jones. Loved it bro. ❤
In her prime, she had royal type of beauty and grace. She would be the epitome of how princess should look like.
Imagine her as Princess Jasmine.
@@pandaman1331 Bingo. She would be ideal Jasmine.
@@maxwellanderson007but jasmine is indian tho
@@ThePaulodashSo? Catherine isn't Spanish or Californian either
Zeta is much better as Snow White than Rachael 😂
I love this hyper-specific love letter to a movie’s heroine i’ve yet to watch
As movies go, it is exceptional in pretty much every aspect.
Cathrine Zeta-Jones and Jennifer Connelly are both captivating.
Jennifer in Dark City. Gorgeous. 🥰
Don't forget prime Marisa Tomei and Phoebe Cates... throw in prime Jennifer Love Hewitt for good measure.
Look! She can do expressions too!
I'm watching this without audio and I concur with every word this man is saying. I fell for Catherine's perfection in this movie as well.
"I'm watching this without audio..." 😂😂😂😂
2:50 that moment when she says "We fought and then he left. He LEFT!!!" The subtext of her being so mad at him for leaving is just great writing and great acting from her. The movie is so damn good and wouldn't work half as well without her.
ngl, from 1:50 onwards I wasn't paying attention to your words anymore and was just watching Catherine
The Mask of Zorro is a masterpiece of a film. We dont get films like this anymore and its a shame...
That scene when she dances with Banderas with that cleaveage and that red dress its SOOO HOOOT
When I was a kid I was completely mesmerized
She's gorgeous.

I'm straight up simping with this dude, nice script.
Prime catherine zeta jones, and jennifer connelly is next level beauty.. Cameron Diaz on the Mask is honorable mention as well
JC was my real Saviour. Cameron Diaz is well worthy of the Pantheon of Goddesses. Loved Lucy Liu & Drew Barrymore too.
All three are good picks.
She did look fantastic in that movie.
Michael Douglas, you lucky lucky man.
And to be able to do a certain activity with Catherine so often it gives you throat cancer, that old dog!
Yes and no. She is extremely beautiful, but her bipolar condition would make it totally not worth it for me. They are crazy enough even without that!
Very very lucky man indeed!
I was 7 or 8 when I saw this movie, I came to the conclusion she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.
I feel you, though for me it was Monica Bellucci :)
That archetypal beauty stays for life.. Mine was Kate Bush at the same age.
I had a crush on Catherine Zeta-Jones after this movie. She was absolutely gorgeous.

TH-cam as a whole is improved by content like this. Well done. And well done Catherine Zeta Jones for being almost supernaturally perfect.
GOD it's so refreshing to be able to complement a woman freely! I can't do it because I look like shit, but it feels liberating to hear someone else do it.

You do realise the video's ironic
The Mask of Zorro is a great Batman film about Batman training his successor.
She dips beneath lasers, whoa oh oh
Imagine her playing Yennefer in a Witcher movie.
She was and is a very attractive woman. I think she's an okay actress too, depends on the film
She was truly stunning in this film.❤

Its really been some time since I have last seen a naturally gorgeous woman on the big screen.
“Naturally gorgeous” here would mean?…
Yea Woman normally shave their hair to look like a guy like Bre Larson
@@gabrieleporru4443 what are you asking? I am saying she was beautiful without any enhancements, plastic surgery etc.
Her beauty was angelic in this movie.
This was a lovely show. The connection with Bandaras was steamy, but the scenes with Anthony Hopkins were very touching too.
Catherine Zeta-Jones her beauty is otherworldly
I was glad to see a Welsh person become so famous. My dad is from Wales, and some people don't even know Wales is a country.

One of many favorite KZJ performances. It was because of her i watched Entrapment.
Cathrine Zeta-Jones, Selma Hayek, and Jennifer Connelly, female perfection.
All 3 Very gorgeous and amazing actresses.

She is stunning
A heroine eye candy survived a youtube analysis unbesmirched, truly an icon. Praise be to poise personified, Elena Montero.
I first saw her in the UK series The Darling Buds of May. (First version.) She made quite an impression on my younger self. 😊
100% agree with everything
Even outside of movies, she gives off this air of class. A deadly combo with beauty. No wonder she's been married since forever.
As someone who grew up in the 90s, this is what I love so much about that era. On the scale of 1-10, Catherine Zeta-Jones was a 12 in her prime, and she is still remained gorgeous till this day.
She is very pretty and always nice to see on-screen.
I approve of this video. This movie made her into a movie star!!!
NO. She was already recognized (by me) as an icon in The Terminal(2004). I mean wow! How much beautiful can fit inside one woman?
When I saw it in the theater I was so awe struck with her beauty I wrote a pop punk song about her called "ethnic girl" right after I left.
I guess Welsh qualifies as "Ethnic" LOL.
It's quite rare to come across an essay where every word is totally justified.
god, she's a beautiful woman. Your effort is justified.
This was the longest and most poetictly nerdy way of saying what we already knew, CZ-J is a babe.
She looks so perfect in this film as if generated by AI.
I remember her in The Darling Buds of May.
I remember seeing this film with my then-wife.
She was the one who remarked on how stunning C Z-J was.
I just nodded. "Yeah, I guess". 😄

Nowadays they'll just call ya a simp 😂
Clowns say lots of things, you should always ignore them - they only exist to entertain children.
Imagine her wearing oversized glasses and messy hair for half the movie before revealing she was secretly hot the whole time.
How I yearned for this woman when I saw this movie for this first time.
So Catherine Zera Jones has range...? 🤔
Who needs range with a face like that 🥰
You need to have a sit down alone. 😂
I was first introduced to her beauty in the series "Young Indiana Jones" Daredevils of the Desert.
Most beautiful woman that ever lived
She also voice acted for Marina in dreamworks's " sinbad legend of the seven seas " so yeah, you can say she enbodies this type of woman.
She is a Goddess. And I've been worshipping her ever since.
Poise. And hair. And, most importantly, eyes.
Beautiful, expressive, feminine, soulful eyes.
Be still, my beating heart!
What I expected: Standard video essay
What I got: High-class, analytical thirsting
She is a queen
Maaaaaaaan the crush I had on her was off the chain 😂😂😂 I was mad asf when Michael Douglas old ass snatched her up fast.

Hmmmm. I must write a video essay about Sarah Bradford, who was in my high school graduating class.
Linda Carter of the 90s.
She could go to a Savage Island and the natives would assume she was a goddess

An absolutely beautiful woman indeed.
When the movie first came out, she really sold me as a Latina. I had no clue whatsoever she’s Welsh.
Yes she was incredible in this film!! Now do other films, just cutting the parts other than beautiful women!!!
I concur with everything said.
catherine zeta jooooooones... she dips beneath lasers... ohhh oooh ohhhh...
Been a fan of hers since she was on the cover of Maxim (promoting this movie). Still looks good portraying Morticia Addams.
Correct!
Was too busy starting at Catherine Zeta Jones before I noticed Antonio Banderas.
When I ask my mom who she thinks the most attractive, she said this scene.
