Great video with all the important information. It helped me a lot to understand how my Yuka works, especially when mapping. This thing is a lot of fun. Best regards from Germany 🇩🇪
Really good to see so that so many detailing enthusiasts are also lawn enthusiasts too. Something about keeping things clean and tidy seems to carry over. The video and your lawn looks great. Would love to hear about you are taking care of it.
Really enjoyed this video. Especially table fist slam at the end. I’m going to have to purchase both I ordered the Yuka yesterday but after watching this I may need to order a Luba 2 for the back lawn. My front lawn is perfect but my back lawn has some hills. Great job. I really appreciate the time you put into this video.
Pretty darn impressive! How would it be with small sticks and leaves? Would be very cool to set up one’s landscaping with a robot mower in mind so it can cut all the grass so very little if any trimming would be needed.

@@HawaiiDetailing Thanks. is there anything less expensive than that Koch-Chemie Spray Sealant since it seems like I'll only need a bit? What else can this koch be used for? Finally, do you think the bag is worth it or adds bulk and isn't good.
@@mcmickey3344 this is an oldie affordable and a good product. amzn.to/3X7LDMv The bag is good for leaves and grass clippings but I would start with the machine and run it for a while. Add the bag if makes sense for what you are working with. I really don’t need it here at my property but many people find it useful. It’s a per case basis on this. Hope that helps.
I leave mine on. It charges at the station and also needs to be powered to dock itself. I assume a power on would be a full reboot for the RTK to find satellites. Seems more trouble than it would be worth and could be problematic at best.
Bumping borders or objects will cause it to use a pre programmed method to go around the object interrupting the planned cut pattern. No big deal but not ideal long term as it will miss a spot.
@@henryhache5509 they are for different tasks. The Luna is a 4x4 rougher terrain large property bot. The yuka is for flat lawns that are smaller in size. They both work well for me.
I'm anxiously waiting for my Yuka and sweeper to be shipped. My only concern is the wee bit of a slope in some of my front lawn. It may not work going horizontal with the slope.
Yes me too. Today I got mine and set it all up. Its a seriously well built kit. Video to come soon. Here is a sneak peak. th-cam.com/users/shortswTvzY-C8MlU?feature=share
I wonder whether the Segway's front-wheel drive does better with bumps and slopes then the Yuka's rear-wheel drive. I had a Robomower years ago (rear-wheel drive) and it seemed to get stuck too easily.
Fantastic video! Do you plan on setting up an enclosure for the Yuka like you've done for your Luba? I just got my Yuka, really excited to get things set up but also want to take good care of it.
Battery is very accessible but it can be recharged many times before that will happen. Depending on your lawn size will determine how long the battery lasts each charge. It does return to the charger and after charging it picks up where it left off. My property is pretty small but I have ran it like craze and have never ran out of battery. If you have a very large property expect some charging during the job.
i am new to robotic lawnmowers. I am considering the YUKA. I have a lot of tall trees in the yard. There is no where on ground level that gets a 360 of the sky. About the only place that might get that is on top of the roof. Does the cord between the antenna and the docking station long enough to do that? What is the ramifcations if I don't have the full 360 view, maybe only 270 or so? I am thinking it will be more difficult to get the YUKA to connect, but not sure. Is there a resource in the US that can evaluate the yard and provide an opinion as to whether a RTK will work?
360 is perfect but it can handle a lot less. How much less depends on the circumstances. If it is too bad you would have less satellites and a reduction of some sort because of that. There are people putting these in their attics and everything else with good results. I wanted to demonstrate ideal in this video. Hope that helps.
I don't know the runtime or charge times from empty as my yard is well within the batteries ability. I do know it will run to about 15-20% and return to the charger to top off. It will resume after charged and repeat until the job is over. You wont need to interact for any of this. The battery lasts a pretty long while over all. Even with all my tests and running it I have never seen it below 50% but if you have a large property you will see it going back and forth to the charger as needed.
Just got a Yuka 2000 a few days ago to mow about ⅓ acre of grass. It mows about 90 minutes or so before returning to charge. With charging it takes about 8 hours total to mow the entire lawn. It goes back 4 times to recharge.
Really great video. Yours helped me decide whether or not to purchase the robot. Thanks! I was wondering what product you used to seal/protect the exterior?

First of all, my husband is 86 years old with multiple health problems I am 76 years old and just had back surgery. Neither one of us needs this because we are lazy we can no longer do this. With lawn service over $100 each time and they are mowing twice a week, it gets very expensive for people our age on fixed income. I hope you rethink your comment.
I agree 100%. I have several robots and being lazy is not the reason why I have them. They enable me to do other tasks while they are mowing that I normally would have to do in addition to the mowing. They would be perfect for your situation. Thanks for watching
I have an all-electric riding mower that is no longer in production, although I've kept it running for the last ten years without difficulty. The problem is one must still operate the steering (much force) and it is an astonishingly rough ride. Back injury here too, which means it's smart, not lazy to have a suitable solution. The price is quite low compared to many of the other options, and especially not needing to have a wire installed makes it a better deal.
