Same when people take cabs, allow them to say their name so it’s not the wrong person driving off with you! Stay safe out there❤

I did the same thing earlier this year, working full time for Grubhub, Doordash, Uber Eats, and Instacart and living in my car. It's so crazy how so many more people are doing this now. I live in southern California, and with those stats that you have, especially with the active time... if you were out here, you'd be making so much money off of just prop 22, on top of your actual earnings. I could pull $200 a day on average and anywhere from $200-$300 additional per week on just prop 22. Plus, you could earn the healthcare rebate, which is about $1200 additional per quarter if you average about 30 active hours per week. The only downside to that is that you'd have to really focus on just using one or 2 apps max primarily if you want to actually build up to 30 active hours a week.

Ty for sharing this info. I am originally from Cali. we currently live on the coast of MS & we have to actively work 7-9.5 hrs just to make $175 in one day. I took on additional apps & waitlisted for GH, Spark & DD. I am not homeless & do own my own home but wouldn’t have a problem living out of my car. My husband on the other hand probably wouldn’t like it at all. I’ve done it before when I was in my 20’s so not a big deal. My husband was just diagnosed with early onset dementia so he can no longer drive or work so we drive together. There is so much we want to do before he progresses to his final stage so traveling to CA. is something to consider now. I will def look into the Prop 22 bcz until now I haven’t heard about it. Thanks again. Good luck to you.

i don't know why exactly but I really enjoy dashing -- I've done it both when I absolutely needed the money to simply survive and still now when it is completely inconsequential to my life I still go out at least 2-3x a week. For one, it is a great way for me to get into a mental zone and process things (work/family/parenting/etc.) while staying productive/active. In my current area I average 25$/H+ fairly easily and so I basically get an extra 1K for some mandatory "me" time throughout each month. interestingly, it is one of the spaces in my life where I get reminded often just how many good humans are on this planet and that is great for anyone's mental health and well being.

The biggest expense is usually a head gasket but even that's usually a one off and they'll go to over 400k miles. The Squirt for a tip is almost better than the 10 spot... underrated drink choice for sure! Be careful warming food like you did, you basically had the food in what food safety rules call the "danger zone". This is the temperatures where bacteria thrives and grows on/in food. Awesome video! I can relate 100% to what you're doing, since out of necessity I lived in my car for nearly 6 months, until I was able to get an apartment. Since July of this year, I've been doing the Doordash thing. I enjoy the freedom of Doordashing & the pay isn't bad since It's working for me. As a former employee with a 9 to 5 1040 job, it was so confining that it was affecting my health, mentally & physically. So, I had to leave it. Awesome video. Thank you for sharing your experience and showing how, many people can make it happen for themselves. Also, when using a vehicle for deliveries or services at different locations, there is a depreciation you can use on your taxes toward that vehicle for UpTo 5 years. The way that you kept record of your time and mileage can be used to determine the amount deducted from income, so you pay less taxes. There are other expenses like, maintenance, meals, entertainment and travel expenses that be deducted also. If anyone keeps good account of these expenses, you can save yourself a lot of stress and 💰 money.

I’m glad you included all your expenses at the end a lot of people who make videos just assume they make all the money they receive 100% profit but they never show how much they used in gas and food costs and wear and tear on your cars. Great video keep up the good work

I love that you are living life on your own terms & having fun doing it! I hope all is well & my only question is do you plan to stay in the car during the cold winter? I lived in my car for awhile but i would rent weekly rooms on & off during the cold months. CHEERS

Your diet is absolute perfection. You dont eat too much salad and not enough meats and fats, but you dont eat too much meats and fats either, you also treat yourself on occasion. You must be very, very healthy. You look it!

I used to do DoorDash before the Covid-19 hit, I quit. Now I just got a full time job working in the manufacturing. But I am thinking about to do Doordash as a side work for extra money on my day off or whenever I have free times. I like it because it's flexible and I can work whenever I want. Besides, I love driving and that's why I like this kind of work. If I travel somewhere else I still work while I am traveling, great !!!

I started up a business this year and also started doing Uber Eats. The business takes a couple of years to get the money rolling in. With Uber I'm making about $2,000 a month after gas and it pays about 3/4 of my bills so I can stay afloat for the time being. Very thankful to have Uber Eats. My best day so far was about $295 for 11 hours.

That’s cool to get a drink and extra money! I like people who are kind like that. I strive to be that way. I wish we had door dash. We are way out in the country of a tiny town. No restaurants. But we are going to the city soon to visit our daughter. Maybe we can order food. She’s moving to clear water so we are going to help her move. We are looking into moving closer to her. It’s about time to be in a retirement community. As long as the huskies have a huge yard.

Smart. This is proof van life is doable, income and all. If it were me, I'd save up for a cabin on a lake and rent it out most of the year. Vacation there myself each year and then retire there once it's paid off.

I stumbled across your channel. Enjoyed the content. I drive rideshare so it was interesting to see a breakdown of what a full week was like for your time vs how I see my time compared to delivery vs passengers. I'm unable to walk do to injuries and back problems but rideshare allows me to earn a living & avoid depending on medical disability benefits. I'll definitely keep watching.
