hope you found that these stumps are made of paper you can try just a piece of paper towel or scrap paper. I know it is not the same accuracy, but at least it does not produce the same sound
I really should use my paper stump on charcoal. It works well with pencils, but it seems to work much better on charcoal. But I need to learn how to draw with charcoal first, cause I'm rubbish at it.
the sight and sound of these poor coloured pencils getting destroyed on the sandpaper gives me physical pain ... the opposite of these relaxing asmr videos xD but thanks a lot for explaining, it`s described as a frosting board in a sketch set i consider to buy and i was clueless what to do with it

They work with pencils that have a dusty formula, such as charcoal and pastel pencils, as the paper stump blends the dust into the paper. Best, Derwent

You can use these on any sketching pencils. It works best on the darker graphites.

You can always buy a leather chamois from the auto department of any supermarket and cut off small pieces to use

Can you get the same result when you use a white pencil as a paper stump?
liesaremeanless not really, the white pencil more ‘erases’ it than smudges it, a white pencil is good for hi-lights

I never be able to do smooth blending in my life, my blending stump is hard not smooth I don't know why.there market have types of paper stump😢
