this is amd platform , lenovo laptops can program their EC chips from main bios only on intel boards , aslo that only works when EC chip is new (has no programing - all fffff in memory)
that didn't work for me it turn on but no display no power sequence.

Glad that i saw your comments that this ec chip cannot be programmed or not supported on rt809 programmer. I'm about to buy a PEB-1 expansion board for my RT809F programmer to try programming this ec chip but now i will not buy it because of your comment😂. So what ec programmer is able to program this it8227e besides SVOD programmer? Because SVOD is not that cheap😂.

But maybe the it8227e-128 is programmable with rt809h. My only problem was, there is no way in the program to increase capacity more than 128kb for ite chips.

Thank you! We have a situation with a shorted EC chip. Ordered a new one, a pre-programmed version from AliExpress.
We found the EC firmware in our BIOS. Here's the thing - microcontrollers need to have a BOOTLOADER on them in order to take on new firmware on the fly, through their SPI port, without special programming voltages and signals such as from the programmer.
When the BIOS gets an update, I think it tries to flash the EC with the updated firmware as well, but that can only happen when the EC has an existing program on it.
By erasing it completely, the EC cannot get the firmware from BIOS.
I'm unaware if stock (non-preprogrammed) AliExpress ECs have bootloaders.

All motherboards with SR40B are coming on without EC chip installed! All voltages are on, 3.3v, 5v, 1vPCH, even the power on voltage is present (only on the ones with power button on keyboard) on the motherboards that have a second ITE chip that i belive has something to do with kb and rgb lights.
Ive seen this mostly on Asus motherboards, not on Lenovo!

Just an idea, maybe you could solder the opposing corners of the chip, with soldering iron, to keep it in place and then come with the hot air

Satellite programs these chips and the laptop can be offline. A secret list, similar to Napster download. Phones also do this offline. Nokia phone has a secret power bank inverter in the old battery, turns on offline without net connection.

That is a SVOD programmer not EZP and SVOD has an option for this adapter.

Hi Sorin. As you, I have the SVOD with the 128 pin ZIF socket. In theory, as you had soldered the EC, the SVOD is capable of programming it via the keyboard connector The practice is different...I 'd programmed several ECs before they lauch the ZIF socket, but with a little degree of sucess (I mean, throught the keyboard connector and the SVOD). But maybe you could have programmed it via the keyboard connector in the motherboard. By this way, you avoid to remove an already well soldered EC chip... Thanks for the video!.

Hi I did have the same issue but when i removed the ec the laptop didn't turn on there was no led light and after that i purchased new ec which was programed but laptop didn't turn on and there was no led what should i do

Hi sorin I have Lenovo legion 5 that recently start acting crazy sometimes it's working sometimes not then I smell a burn from the motherboard after checking I found chip was burn some current ic control it's marked as (UX2) on motherboard so after checking online ifiund the chip number (g2898kd1u) so please if you can check this ic and tell me if I can bypass this chip because no one have it and I cannot buy it online the shipping is to pricey where I live , it will be It will be of great help from you in this

No you can't by keyboard connector for this board.Only with this socket adapter or ite lite adapter for verttyanov programmer,less cost then socket ,but only for ITE ic not for others and you must solder pins on the board..
