I've never come across someone doing chip level service in my state in India. Whatever the problem is they won't even look into it, all they do is wipe the hardisk reinstall the OS. If any hardware problem, throw the hardware away and replace it with new and charge us money. That's all servicing

Haha, i expect the genuine concern of that indian customer. India Post is notorious for losing packages in and out of India. Mainly the issue is with the customs authorities and not completely India Post' issue. I do not know why DHL or USPS parcels never get lost, even when they get lost, immediately found after enquiry. I wanted to send many mail-ins but seeing the crazy ordeals, i wouldn't send. Lucky that I just found someone like Alex in my city Vizag. If I have extra time, he even shows me how to repair the boards while he repairs. Every city must have a hardworking person like Alex to save devices going to e-waste.

My kid yanked the charging cable of my laptop and dragged my laptop with it. My laptop stopped charging. When I took it to the computer shop, the guy told me that the charging port is hard wired to the motherboard therefore the motherboard needs to be replaced. I couldn't believe it. So I opened up the laptop and found out that the charging port was bent and just needed something like a piece of credit card to keep it lifted. The laptop is still working after 10 years.

Me gustaría saber que estaño usas para quitar los componentes. Es estaño de baja temperatura? Donde podría conseguirlo?

scores of shops doing these repairs in India.

I'll probably send you my laptop to add in the 2nd m.2 drive bay components MSI decided to not populate. And my phone with a broken header on the main board for a ribbon cable.
    Cheers, from Florida.

What size bent chisel tip are you using?

I'm gonna take a self-educated guess and say he's probably using the Weller tip: RTM 008 S X Old name is (RT 5 30°). Which is bent chisel tip of 0.8mm / 0.4mm with length of 23mm. Order no: T0054460599N. If it's not that its the bigger version. (T0054460371N) 😊
